Went the for breakfast yesterday costs more than the spoons in Amesbury yet the meal was poor

Standard Whetherspoons. Good cheap beer selection in a nice setting.

Didn't stay at the hotel, just popped in for a meal which was good

They didn't have half the stuff on the menu....not even a pizza!

Fabulous room and slight problem attended to quickly by efficient staff. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Terrible service The bar staff ID'd my friend (18 years old) and let them get their drink They allowed my girlfriend (20 years old) to have a drink with no ID presented Then when it was my turn to be served I was turned away. I am 20 years old. Once I sat down with my friend and girlfriend the staff were watching us the whole time like hawks. Quite an uncomfortable experience in my opinion. Please implement common sense into your staff.

This trip was a great success. Cocktails and shots following a Bottomless Brunch elsewhere! Ordered drinks on the app, they arrived, cannot complain!

Staff were friendly, great atmosphere.

Hotel in a good location. Room good value, albeit a bit of a trek/difficult to get to (numerous doors/stairs/corridors, even when navigating the same floor). The room was also very quiet, didn't have any issues with noise from the bar (couldn't hear it at all). Food a bit hit and miss. Overall, I enjoyed my visit, and would return.

A typical Weatherspoons, Food reasonable quality and price, staff very pleasant. Does attract some dirty and odd customers and there could be more staff to remove dirty plates, etc and clean tables. However a great feature for me is that there is no background 'music' and no giant blaring TV.

Despite the long queues and waiting times, this Wetherspoons is an idyllic spot in the centre of Salisbury.

We had a great, spacious room, everything was clean and the food was good and the beer was cheap.

There were 10 empty tables, but were all full of dirty plates and glasses. We had to clear a table to sit at and nobody offered to wipe it down for us, even though our table was covered in food and dry sticky drink. We ordered our drinks on the app and waited almost 20 minutes, before I asked a waitress if our drinks were on the way. She said she was too busy to find out for us........this waitress walked past every single dirty table, without clearing them, the whole time we were there. When I was a waitress, we were told that you shouldn't go back to the kitchen empty handed. The amount of customers that walked in and straight back out again, because of the dirty tables, was ridiculous. Our pizzas were lovely on the other hand and the bar staff were very helpful

Probably the best weatherspoon I've ever been to. Wow, simple food was cooked brilliantly, amazing happy service, great lay out. 10/10

Really disappointing we travel alot in our caravan all year round so we have been in a lot of weatherspoons and it as always been brilliant but this was awful dirty tables flies all over plenty of staff but stood about talking, we always order fish and chips, which we really enjoy but this time fish was that tough it was like shoe leather ,cold and uneatable nobody came to see if everything okay like they do everywhere else really awful

Didn't stay hence only 1 star for room as had to put something we ate in the restaurant food was lovely and staff very helpful

The hotel is a period building with an excellent central location. We stayed as a couple on a Saturday night. Our twin room was set as a double so we had a huge six ft bed, which was very comfortable with good quality bedding. The room was not overly hot and stuffy and I had a good night’s sleep. The room was large with super high ceilings, well equipped bathroom and felt recently refurbished. Our room was 110, which was not over the pub and faced the back - it was quiet. I am guessing all rooms on this first floor are similar with the even numbers facing the rear (just a guess). Nice tea and coffee facilities too. Friendly staff. It was a good price and I definitely recommend.

Good location, parking over the road behind Sainsbury's, £10 for 24 hours, room clean tidy although a bit tired , and shower curtain should be lobbed 🫢staff helpful.

Located right across the street from a jammin' bar, so not everyone in our party was able to sleep. But otherwise centrally located, clean, and good service.

Fantastic place. Great hotel for the price and right in the middle of the city with easy walking to the cathedral and beyond. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious.

Wow wow, 😎after being at the franbrough airshow I decide how many spoons could I do before driving back to torbay devon the tilly shilling gave me my start point and let the traffic die down After getting to the bell in Amesbury the manager said goto sailburys kings head inn cracking spoons there and hotel but what I didn't expect it amazing beauty and size and by the river Is this better than the imperial in Exeter I think it might be but will let u decide

Surprised at how good this place was. Large bedroom with huge bed, large bathroom with bath and shower, quiet too. Would definitely use again and recommend.

Now, my wife is a certified nurse, first thing she said:" I like this, this is clean, it smell of chlorine(?!)". Anyways, the rooms was clean, the staff was efficent and the loction is great for a wist to Sailisbury.

It's poor when customers have to clear tables of dirty dishes before they can sit down. So many tables not cleared and trolleys full of crockery waiting to be taken away. It's 13:15 and very quiet, there is no excuse for the tables not to be cleared and cleaned. I'd be interested in the hygiene rating???

This is a large pub with plenty of seating. There's the normal great spoons menu with something for everyone. We ordered through the app, and our food and drinks came pretty quickly. The food was well cooked, and the portion sizes we great. Staff were all really friendly despite it being really busy.

Long queue to get served but it was worth it. Good beer and the food was fine and service was quick and polite. It was what you expect, or hope for, from Wetherspoons!

Stayed up the road after going to the races,but had a quick bite to eat before and it had to be the worst presented,tasting food in any witherspoons I've eaten in,and I've eaten in a lot .Drinks,service and location excellent, but the food was awful

Pleasantly surprised. Rooms, beds, and bathrooms are all good. Bit of a maze finding the rooms, but it's OK. Very well located.

Visiting Salisbury today when for breakfast in witherspoon the food looked fantastic I eat in witherspoon all over the country but unfortunately on this occasion the restaurant was very quiet only 10 people in at this time the food came out in around 5 mins stone cold no one cared less very poor service

Get location services and value lovley building with river views

This review is for the restaurant. The food was fine for the price, but most tables hadn't been cleared. To be honest it was a bit of a bomb site. I appreciate it was busy, but maybe more staff are needed. after my main I ordered a hot chocolate and a dessert neither came for ages so because I ordered off the app I thought I'd speak to a member of staff I showed them my order and after a while a fairly melted dessert turned up, but no hot chocolate so I went and asked again and he said it comes on a different order so it'll be with you in a sec. it never did turn up and considering I had shown them my order 3 times by now I just gave up. my friend who did get his drink went to the first coffee machine, but it had ran out of most of the drinks so he went downstairs to use the other one and that didn't work properly either.

Noisy and disorganised, rude, abrupt and badly trained staff, overly complex online ordering system. Loos not brilliant. Industrial style catering. Dishes literally thrown on the table. No attempt at style or panache. No garnish and not all of the order served together. Napkins would have been nice. For all that, the food was reasonably tasty and portion sizes acceptable. All the ambience of a works canteen

Unfriendly and not pleasant staff, Plus food was burnt and rock hard no taste at all. I will stick to my local wetherspoons I think for now on.

Surprisingly good for the price. Accessible room, helpful staff. Technically no parking, but they let you on the drive for long enough to unload luggage and wheelchair. Location is very close to the centre even by my standards.

It's a Wetherspoons... Good and cheap food and beer, toilets to be found at the highest and furthest point from the bar and generally quick table service with the app (if you can get a table). Only negatives were that it needs a bit of tlc and the entire upstairs was closed off to public for a booking, which I never realised was a thing in Wetherspoons

Arrived up with our CAMRA vouchers. Not happy to take the cider voucher and so slow with the their service that we left. They kept the voucher!

Nice Spoons but service often lacking. I go there for coffee regularly but there is often only one person serving when it's busy.

In the bar area, all the tables had dirty plates etc. The bar staff did not seem to care and the food service was not good. I will not be visiting again, could not wait to get out

Great spot in the centre of Salisbury. Everything I would expect from a Wetherspoon's hotel.

Headed here for a drink for my birthday. Lots of space and a nice outside area. Currently making upgrades so there is scaffolding. They have made it easy to know where to enter. Nice, inviting atmosphere.

Checked in with 2 bikes. Given room on 1st floor (accessible via lift... so best floor for bikes... stored in room). Staff very helpful. Then explored Salisbury. Got back and went to bed. Room cold & heating didn't seem to work. Plus a huge Johnson Controls device outside our bathroom window was growling noisily all night. So if using 1st floor avoid rooms in this part of the building (Room 113). Our friends in Room 101 didn’t have any noise issues.

A Wetherspoons establishment with the usual menu and range of drinks, large and airy building. Did not have to wait long for the food to come and quick service at the bar. Good selection of drinks to choose from.

Dropped in for breakfast before a hike. Nice building and location, but I was served by a rude member of staff, and the breakfast was burnt.

Nice Whetherspoons, nice lay out. Pleasant staff particularly Jonathan who was polite and attentive. Unfortunately my steak and kidney pudding was hard with not much filling. Didn't stay overnight on this occasion.

Fantastic building that is a Hotel and pub. Great prices as you would expect and really friendly staff.

Fantastic building, unfortunately there was broken glasses under our table but the staff swifly cleared it up. Not a bad spoons very roomy. Toilets seemed so far away and so many stairs.

Would have given 5 stars but it was so cold in there, cutting down on heating, but sadly putting up meal prices!! Difficult these days I realise, but really don't want to sit in a cold pub eating a lovely meal that was stone cold in 2 minutes, great hot chocolate & decaf coffees, latte, cappuccino, hot milk, teas. In the summer is a lot more inviting sat by the stream outside, Salisbury shopping, nice day out, but may have to check out other places here 🤔 KO

Interesting olde world place, with plenty of character. Meals and drinks were the usual fare which was good. Service was good. I would have liked to spend a bit more time there but it was a 'flying visit' would visit again.

Had a good meal and the price was good. The service wasn't bad considering the fact it was extremely busy. It was just before Christmas and filled with lots of happy families and couples.

Central Wetherspoons pub by a stream. Cathedral few mins walk..market similar. Usual Spoons products but prices, like everywhere, have risen. Can get very busy especially on market days.. Good size. worth a visit if you have the patience. Traffic and parking is a major problem in Salisbury, especially any part of the A36 from Southampton areas..i avoid it like the plague..it can be diabolical, jams can be 45mins + coming into Salisbury and long queues from the west on the A36 too. Terribly designed.

In a simple definition: friendly and professionalism at its peak!

Cheap food, with a nice environment to hang out. Not very silent for a proper conversation unless at early hours. Service is fast but fast food style.

Ideal location,centre of the city very close to the cathedral and railway station.Very popular so it can be busy.

A great location, for central Salisbury. Everything in walking distance. Room was very good and with it being a wetherspoons, the price for food and drink is reasonable.
