We had Christmas lunch here, food and service was fantastic. Wine and choice of beers/spirts was great. Well done to all the, especially Lauren who never stopped.

Thank you for such a memorable Christmas Lunch! Decor was stunning, with log fires it was really Christmassy. The food was delicious, staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend for a special event or drinks. Super pub!

Big lovely atmospheric pub with wood burner and outdoor terrace. Food was disappointing, though, served up with no flourish nor garnish. Macaroni cheese had school dinner vibes. 'Rye bread with garlic butter' was normal bread with with normal butter, and so not worth the asking price. Would come back for drinks, will have eaten beforehand.

Popped in for a meal over Christmas, found the person serving did not engage at all with me or my family. Everything seemed to be a chore and we felt very unwelcome. Two meals out of the three meals were Luke warm. I’m not really one for leaving bad reviews but as I work for Youngs and felt the quality to be severely lacking I thought say something. Hoping it was maybe just an off day in the holidays, but really expected better.

I booked a Christmas dinner with my girls and I have to say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The atmosphere was so warm and festive, the layout and presentation were spot on, and the reception we received was amazing from the moment we walked in. A huge shoutout to the staff, especially John and Ethan, for their outstanding service, they went above and beyond to make our evening special. The hospitality here is unmatched, and it truly is my favourite local pub. I’ll definitely be back again, thank you to the team at King’s Head for such a memorable evening. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect spot to celebrate this festive season or for any meal! XXXX

Dinner for two! Great Ambience - food prices moderate - very peaceful on a Sunday evening. Great pub food, I'm very sensitive to junk food and I have to say that I feel great every time I have a meal there. Great for families also! Finally, lovely friendly and welcoming waiters and waitresses.

There are so many reviews, but I have to say Ethan and Reece have been brilliant, as regulars we have been looked after. The staff are brilliant, the food is good. Nice and friendly pub.

Went for lunch today and ordered my food at the bar. We sat at a table that was not reserved, after 20 minutes or so the manager Lauren showed another customer where we were sitting and asked him infront of us if this area would be ok. Then told him to wait round the corner for 2 minutes and then asked us if we can move tables. I thought this was extremely rude and unprofessional and when I was asked if it was an issue i said yes as I was upset about how that situation was dealt with! If she would have asked us before she showed the other customer the area it would have been no problem to move our table to another.But to do it in-front of us I felt was extremely rude and quite frankly no manners. And I would just like to add this customer she told us was 3 hours late to his booking! It then gets worse we was sat waiting for about 35 minutes still no food and we only ordered 2 sandwiches, when my partner asked about our food and where it was they apologised and said the chef has only just seen the ticket. The bar staff was sympathetic and did offer us a round of drinks but as we had to get back to our son for school pickup this was not an option. So unfortunately we didn’t get nothing to eat! I would like to add I’ve been coming to this pub for the past 10 years and this is the worst service I’ve ever had here! Very disappointing!

The King’s Head is a charming pub with a lot to offer. The decor is warm and stylish, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere, especially during colder months. The beer garden is a lovely addition, perfect for sunny days. The food quality is generally good, with standout dishes like the Sunday Roast and fish & chips, both flavorful and well-presented. The staff such as Ethan and Jayde are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.

Spent a lovely afternoon at this warm cosy pub. The service from Cai and Reece was friendly and efficient. We sat by the fire and had an excellent meal - roast pork dinner (very tender and tasty meat with plenty of gravy and Yorkshire!) and pork & apple sausages with mash and onion gravy. Hats off to the kitchen team- Martin, Haz, Senna and Lucy! Great selection of red wines, and was delighted to be offered a free Bloody Mary cocktail/shot too. It’s dog & children friendly and has a very welcoming and Christmassy atmosphere. Fun events lined up for the festive season, including an advent calendar hunt each day leading up to Christmas where you can win various things like a glass of bubbly! Lauren, the new manager, is doing a great job! Looking forward to my next visit.

We had our Xmas Party at King's Head last week and it was stunning! Everything was running smoothly, John was amazing with accomodating everything and we just had a lovely time! And fig crumble was just to die for! Food was great!

The most fantastic team; a bright positive experience from staff who clearly care about each customer. The manager was delightful, and gave time to everyone - and treated staff well. Food was absolutely delicious.

Beautiful pub but absolutely awful service. Simple things like ordering a drink at the bar seemed such an effort for them. The blonde girl on shift was at least serving with a smile but the taller male was SO RUDE!!! rolling their eyes at us, ignoring people at the bar and just standing on the side. Order was wrong when it came and food was very average. It’s such a shame as that pub could easily be a 10/10 but I wouldn’t even rate it a 1/10. It’s the staff that are the issue not the pub.

I was in tonight with my wife we had a wonderful time with our server Ethan and Jayde they were lovely and welcoming and helped us choose off the menu which was really good choices and the bar person Recce was very social 10/10

The pub itself is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere, but the staff were extremely rude, incompetent and clearly didn't want to be there. The food was definitely overpriced for what it was, worse quality than mcdonalds. Think this beautiful pub could do with some new staff and a food quality upgrade.

Great pub for a Sunday roast. Food quality is great and portions are generous. Service is quick and of a high quality. Good drink selection and reasonably priced. Core, Brytan, Lucy and especially Lauren were incredibly helpful and accommodating.

Cosy gastro pub in the Young's Chain. Fireplace in winter. Huge garden in summer. Good for parking, wheelchair access, cyclists and walkers.

A really lovely old traditional pub. Looks like it’s had a recent refresher as all decor and furniture was clean tidy and fresh looking. Lots of great and diverse art adorns many of the walls. Toilets clean , fresh , tidy and well stocked. Service mid week lunch was welcoming and efficient. Basic pub food menu was good quality and well presented. Will return.

Had a fantastic time at the Kings Head, and Coren the bartender really made the night! He was super friendly, welcoming us with a smile and really taking the time to craft our drinks just right. We tried a couple of his recommendations, and they were spot on. It’s obvious he knows his stuff and genuinely enjoys what he does. The whole vibe was great, and Coren definitely made it a memorable experience. Highly recommend stopping by when he’s behind the bar – can’t wait to come back!

Don’t think I will be back to have the Sunday roast, although the roast was tasty the portion size vs the cost to me is unbelievable, 3 slices of beef cut small with 1 small potato cut into half small carrot ,parsnip half cut into half again , and a very large Yorkshire pudding to make the meal look big , I’m sorry but that doesn’t justify the cost of £21 each

Servers were very prompt and friendly - checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything that we needed. Food was very tasty - good quality and well-cooked. Roast Pork belly was particularly tasty, with nice, crispy crackling. The atmosphere and setting are both comfortable and clean - the toilets especially were spotless!

- Drinks came in with lipstick stain - Ordered mushroom and blue cheese quiche instead got something completely different with a side of dead salad - Partner’s steak smelled like a 6 day old raw meat One of the waiter who issued our refund was very kind and helpful, the others looked like they hated being there. Will not be returning.

Used 1 star because can’t give 0. Went with my partner for a quick lunch that turned to a 45min wait for the food. My partner asked for his Caesar salad to be take away since he didn’t have time anymore and needed to go to work. The salad when he ate it was a really small portion, the chicken was borderline undercooked most pieces, he found pieces of eggshell in the salad and hair in the bread. The burger we asked medium was completely well done and really hard to eat. Definitely not a great experience.

So lovely amazing service incredibly accommodating

They ran out of roast on Sunday by 13:00. The food was quite abysmal. My friend got a cheesecake that was 70% frozen dough. When complained, it wasn’t even taken off the bill. The pub itself is very pretty but both food and service are substandard.

Worst service ever. We were given the wrong menus, and were told that nothing we wanted was available. We were then given the right menus and ordered again, only to be told that half of what we wanted, including roast chicken at 1.30pm on a Sunday when most of the menu is roast dinner. We walked out.

I have been to Kings Head Roehampton for about 15 years. However, yesterday several things we chose were not available because they only had one person in the kitchen. The food took an extremely long time to come and my pie and mash looked as if it had been thrown onto the plate. I also would have expected some small garnish. Pity. There are lots of other pubs to go to.

Went for evening meal after a really nice lunch the day before. How a pub can change ! Had to endure racism, sexism and swearing on an epic scale all at the top of the regulars voices. Bar staff did nothing to address it or ask them to tone it down. My ears were bleeding from the noise. Food was nice but atmosphere was intimidating and unpleasant.

Service was good but food was terrible. Half of the vegetarian options weren't available so I ordered the quiche which was watery and bland and hadn't even been warmed up properly.

Had our leavers meal here a few weeks back, there were about 14 of us.. Everyone enjoyed their meal, the atmosphere was great staff were friendly.

I booked the Hogarth Room for a work meeting. It accommodated the 20 attendees well. Leigh and Luke were on hand for questions and assistance, which was very much appreciated. The room was set up, in advance of our arrival, as I'd requested which was brilliant. We were able to connect laptops to the large screen TV, to display a presentation. The lead to do this was provided. The buffet food was tasty and plentiful. The room was a little warm, we could have done with some ventilation. Also, whilst the heavy curtain between the function room and main pub area was good, it could have been more private/quieter. But, very minor things really. All in all, we had a very good meeting and were grateful to the venue for facilitating it.

We reserved an area last Friday so we could watch the football after our Summer Party. There were some people in the area but were ushered out straight after I mentioned it. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Pub is big and nice, I would defenitely stop here after work on my way home.

Just popped in with my mum and my baby to have a cheeky wine and a bite to eat. We sat in the garden in 1 of the little shed things it was lovely really comfy and it has a massive garden. We ordered some drinks at the bar where I was greeted by a bubbly chatty guy I didn’t catch his name unfortunately and we also ordered some drinks to the table through the app which arrived no problem, we then ordered the crab fish cake and the pitchfork cheddar and Youngs ale rarebit at the bar … having myself worked in kitchens and pubs all of my life I have to say the fish cake was beautiful really well cooked proper crispy on the outside and a lovely filling super tasty and was not greasy at all it was served with a lovely bit of watercress salad with dressing ! (surprising how many places give you a dry bit of salad on the plate) and a good serving of home made tartare sauce it was so good we ordered another 1 ! Now the rarebit unfortunately wasn’t so good it was very dry I was expecting to see a nice layer of hot cheese sauce with melted cheese on top but it was really just a bit of cheese on toast and you couldn’t taste the ale 😞 so that was a shame. On to the service … the second fish cake we ordered through the app had still not arrived half an hour after ordering so I popped in and spoke to Lee who by the way is fantastic at his job super friendly and chatty and you could tell he likes his job by the way he interacts with all the customers, I noticed a local in the garden with his dog whom Lee seemed familiar with and knew his drink and he noticed when the guy needed another and said he would bring it out I thought that was great just how a pub should be a home from home “where everybody knows your name” … Once I enquired with Lee as to where the crab cake had got to , he was straight on it he was very apologetic and went straight to the kitchen to find out, he came back and promised me it would not be long (it followed fairly quickly) and gave me a discount on my drinks for the wait. I was totally happy with the way he dealt with it I was not in a rush and these things happen (I don’t think the app is always that reliable!) . So overall we had a lovely time the pub is local to me so will def pop in again soon and see Lee and his team

Booked this for a late Saturday lunch lunch with my 90 year old mother in law, based on its proximity to her care home and that it had easy access. Pleasantly surprised at the variety of the menu ( standard plus Saturday brunch specials) and the quality of the food. It wasn't busy so maybe that helped, but it felt like the food was cooked to order (fresh Yorkshire pudding, brilliantly poached egg). Staff were very pleasant and informal. Worked really well for us and it's definitely on our list to use again.

The Pub Kings Head in Roehampton is really very nice. The food is delicious (just a bit pricy). You can also go for drinks or coffee. A nice place to catch up with your friends and family.

Amazing Sunday roast, friendly staff with big garden

No service, worst pub in London.

Booked a table for two for a Sunday roast for 12. We arrived at 11.45 and the bartender created us in a friendly manner. As we had come for Sunday roasts, she told us the kitchen only opens from 12, but we were ok to wait for a few minutes and ordered some drinks meanwhile - one pint of lemonade and one of lime & soda. After setting the glasses on the table, we noticed there were lip marks all over the rim of both glasses. Luckily I had asked for a straw for both of them and we hadn't taken any sips from the drinks, so the glasses had not been cleaned properly. Hence the 4 ⭐ for the service. The food took a bit longer than expected, around 25 minutes. I had opted for fish & chips, whereas my partner went for the pork belly roast. The fish was very nice and crunchy, with sea salt flakes on top. The triple cooked chips were nice and crunchy, although I would've expected some more of them. They also gave me 4 sauces besides the mushy peas: mayo, ketchup, curry sauce and tartare sauce. I must say the curry sauce was lacking in flavour. Luckily the tartare sauce and ketchup helped on that front. In terms of the pork belly, we were surprised by the quantity of meat my partner got. However, she had the same issue as with my curry sauce: her food lacked flavour, as well - the pork belly was on the bland side and the gravy seemed watered down. The veggies that the pork was served with were ok. 3 ⭐ for the food. The atmosphere in the pub was ok: there was music coming from the speakers which was at a higher level than expected, however that didn't pose a challenge to us having a conversation. We chose an area of the pub which was separate from the main space, with an U-shaped couch, wooden table and views towards the benches at the front of the pub. It was a sunny day, so we took full advantage of that, especially as it was a bit windy outside. Overall it was a nice experience, and even if the food we had this time didn't impress us, we were very happy with the premises overall - particularly my partner, who was impressed by the cleanliness and overall state of the women's bathroom. Whenever we'll be around the area again, we'll be looking to try some of their other dishes.

Ideal venue after visiting the local crematorium. Fifteen of our family member’s were well looked after and enjoyed their food.

Great venue, good food/wine and good service

We were keen to revisit the King’s Head for lunch following its recent refurbishment but were rather disappointed with our experience. Our main courses were fine but thereafter things seemed to go downhill. We tried to order desserts but had to get up to get menus since the serving staff seemed to ignore us, even though the place did not appear that busy. Once the desserts had been ordered only one arrived for my wife. We waited for about half an hour to my daughter’s dessert to arrive, despite having chased them previously. In the end we cancelled the second dessert. Although the desserts were taken off the bill we did not get a proper apology or an explanation for the non arrival of the second dessert. We would like to come again but the service needs to improve.

Visited on Thursday 29th Feb for the opening, after the Kings Head 'sparkle' Luke and staff welcoming as always and the general ambience of pub great.The new furnishings very comfortable .Have yet to sample the new menu choices look tempting.

Went to a wake here on Friday 1st March. The buffet was delicious. Will certainly go back for a meal. Also lovely decor. I use a wheelchair. Toilet clean. Thank you Kings Head Roehampton.

Had a good Sunday roast at the king's head. There's also a good disabled access toilet. Large dining area, with plenty of space for a wheelchair.

Despite the outdoor building work, this place is so welcoming. The staff are truly excellent and the food matches this too. We had a lovely evening. I had added on the booking notes we had a gluten free in our party and the menu came straight out with all the others, we didn't have to ask. Waiter was SUPER helpful and an absolute delight, just annoyed I didn't ask his name but I think he had an Northern Irish accent.
