Had a lovely lunch and a very nice game of golf today. The service was great. One thing of note was the tea-two spoons it was delicious. Well done to everybody at the Winchester golf Academy.

This place is a hidden gem! Came down to visit Winchester for the day, decided to take a punt and drive out the city for breakfast and was not disappointed. The food was fresh, well presented and the coffee was great too! Max who was our waiter was amazing, so friendly, great sense of humour and extremely professional. I would highly recommend this place!

Food and service has sadly gone downhill. I have visited many times before and the service has always been friendly and warm. However, a new member of staff is brash and very rude and has utterly spoiled my last two visits. Customer service and quality well-presented food does matter. This lady has been a bad recruitment for you!! I am not alone on this opinion.

Great food and service, however some of it's customers have let the establishment and other customers down. When we were there there was a group of unruly children messing around on the sofa's with their parents not taking any responsibility. Their behaviour was causing a health and safety issue to the very hard working staff. Dogs are very welcome and there were many in the establishment, none of them were being as disruptive in terms of noise, danger to others as the children were. I would suggest you remove the sofa's and add more tables and chairs to make better use of space and to limit bad behaviour.

My husband and I went to have lunch today. We hadn't booked a table and were lucky enough to grab an un reserved table. It is worth booking in advance. We ordered a coffee each and the smashed burger. I had it on gluten free bread and my husband had it in a brioche bun. Wow, what an absolutely sumptuous burger. I could have eaten it again, the flavours exploded with every bite. Not your usual burger at all. It was juicy too. Such a wonderful place to eat. We bought 4 caramel shortbreads to take home too, they were vegan and Gluten free.

A fantastic spot for Sunday lunch. Our visit today was for Mother’s Day, you want something that is fitting for a special day and that’s exactly what we got - we went for the sharing board which had pork, beef, chicken, sausages, stuffing with meat and yorkshires. All fantastic. It also comes with roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and veg. Such friendly staff as well. You won’t leave hungry! They also do coffee and a nice piece of cake or slice if that’s more what you’re looking for. Top marks here for sure.

Whata super and buzzy cafe with delicious meals and cakes ! The new manager Jack went out of his way to greet and attend to me and my dogs (water & biscuits!). Staff all seem very nice and quite motivated but I think with Jack in place this will increase as he sets such a great example. Open until 9 pm as well as lunch/supper. Highly recommend - terrace for warmer wweather plus super dog walks all round to help earn your cake !

Friends and I visited The Kitchen @ for brunch this morning. I wasn't sure whether they could cater gluten free and was happily surprised that the menu had put an asterisk after each dish that could be made gluten free. Pretty much the entire menu. I ordered smashed avocado with two poached eggs and bacon on gluten free toast. They asked me if I was coeliac. I said no, but my daughter is who wasn't with us. A great element to know. Another friend chose the 'build a brunch' option. The sausages were peppery wheeled sausages. Her breakfast looked amazing. My other friend chose the same as me, but with the sourdough, sun blushed tomatoes and no bacon. The coffee was also delicious. A must visit!!!

Fabulous cake (and a great range of other breakfast & lunch choices too!) and love that a charity benefits from builders' tea purchases. Local eggs on sale, seating inside and outdoors. Just off the A34 and free parking so a great choice if you're looking to avoid central Winchester traffic and parking charges. Loyalty card available with current rewards of free coffee, breakfast brioche and 20% off depending on the number of points earned. Worth booking online beforehand as it's often busy - only downside is that the table is often booked for someone else later on (little blackboards on the table show your name and time of booking) but great if you're just looking for a short visit.

This used to be such a wonderful place to have lunch. But sadly it’s gone downhill fast. Unwanted changes have left limited ‘special’ restricted menu that just wasn’t needed. Guys you were fab as you were! Also staff could do with some training. Staff confrontational to me & my Autistic child. After being told we could sit a specific table were then hurried off for next customers. Such a shame this used to be which a lovely place for lunch.

Such delicious food as ever! Fantastic menu, slick and friendly service and very reasonably priced. One of the best lunches I’ve had in a long time. Ben and his team always work hard to deliver an all round excellent experience for their customers. A must visit for all.

A great spot for breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake and dinner. It's central location close to so many major roads means that it is a fantastic place to meet up. I use it frequently for both small and larger get togethers. My mum loves their sausage rolls and you can buy local eggs. We go so often that we are frequently able to take advantage of the 20% discount once you have attained 10 points on their loyalty card. Suitable for vegans, vegetarians and carnivores. Open for long hours and easy to book on line. Very pleasant staff although owner can seem a little aloof at times. Outside dining space is surprisingly quiet given its proximity to the A34. And, of course, you can always use the driving range too.

I have been meaning to visit The Kitchen for a while as had heard good things about it. A friend tempted me last week with lunch after a walk. It was the perfect day. The surrounding area is really pretty and an easy walk from Winchester. I would recommend booking as it was busy even mid-week. However our greeting could not have been more welcoming. The food standard was well above the usual cafe standards with a nice mix of healthier choices, tasty treats and vegan friendly options. I hope there is an option for outside dining in the summer, purely to ensure they have space for me to visit when it is really busy! A lovely place to meet friends or dine alone.

Great local pub - staff are always friendly - Land lord and Land Lady always make sure you are looked after whether it’s just a drink or you’re in for a 3 course meal. Bar is generally busy with a good atmosphere, and friendly locals and is dog friendly. Food is great, portion size is not over the top - but generally just right so you have room for one of their delicious puddings. Make sure you have a coffee - the home made chocolate that accompany the coffee are amazing. Aside from the main menu, the Bricks run a small menu of 2 or 3 dishes which change almost weekly which means there’s always something different. All in all a great local pub with good food and a team that cannot be faulted.

How can you mess up a Ploughman’s Lunch? Come to the D&C and see. Microwaved half baguette that went dry, crisp and stale immediately. Cheese was appalling. The worst type of cheap, tasteless, doughy cheddar. Pork pie that was missing the pork. We will not be returning.
