Absolutely amazing food. Possibly the best roast I have ever had. Very very friendly staff. Beautifully clean restaurant. Fast service. All in all a lovely meal.

We had a perfect Sunday lunch - 5 meat eaters and 5 vegetarian. Only downside was we we far too full to try the delicious looking deserts including sticky toffee pudding. Thank you. We’ll be back

This weekend was my Wife & myself’s first visit to Urchfont to see family. We sat in the garden yesterday in the sun and had a couple of beers! Today we came for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed! There’s a variety of options to choose from but we all opted for Sunday roast with a choice of beef or lamb! Myself and my brother in law had lamb, my sister in law had beef and my Wife asked for a bit of both which the chef was happy to do. The lamb was delicious, cooked to perfection for me and so moist and tender with accompanying vegetables equally as good! We will certainly be visiting again! Highly recommended.

We went for a Saturday early evening meal while staying at an AirBnB in Urchfont. We had a lovely welcome and were seen to our table. There was quite a rowdy table next to us so we were struggling to hear each other talk. We had a quick meal and left for this reason. The shepherds pie was very salty and the chips came covered in salt too which was a shame but overall it was nicely presented, fresh food.

Great staff, very welcoming and loved to chat! Food was incredible, and didn’t take long either! Would reccomend to anyone, 100% would go again :)

New landlords & so this was our first visit. Excellent lunch. Hefty portions. Good service. Will definitely go again. Large garden with tables & umbrellas.

Lovely welcome from the landlady… Ordered drinks which arrived very quickly.. Food was really tasty & there was a good selection . Would definitely recommend & return.

The food and welcome in this newly reopened pub is fantastic - definitely worth seeking out in the beautiful village of Urchfont. Close to lovely walks and rolling hills. We had lovely sandwiches and great coffee. Also saw wonderful looking pies coming through the restaurant! Has a little shop on site for the local community and you get the feeling that the pub is the heart of the area.

Really cosy pub, with a fantastic selection of drinks. The landlady served us and she was lovely. Beautiful sunny garden. Just a great locals pub.

This is such a great pub in one of Wiltshire’s prettiest villages. Now with a new chef a great welcome, nice beer garden and easy parking.

Lovely to have a warm and friendly welcome. Felt immediately comfortable and loved the series of small rooms and furniture. We only stayed for a drink but will return for food. Urchfont is beautiful.

10 of us arrived for a reservation we made for 8, this wasn’t a problem at all. The food was so good, looked amazing and tasted even better! The cauliflower cheese and red cabbage was beautiful! Would definitely recommend Thanks again for a great Easter Sunday lunch, we will back soon!

A great welcome and a very fine building coupled with a terrific landlady. A very fine leek and potato soup with super bread and lots of butter. (Not that wrapped horror). But for me the home made pork scratching with apple sauce was an utter delight.

My assessment may seem a little unfair as this was during Scarecrow Festival hunt so was a very busy time for the pub which I do understand. A special scarecrow menu was provided which I thought was ideal, quite restrictive menu so the kitchen could cope. The ploughman's lunch was very good value but I do have to document my disappointment in the chicken and mushroom pie with chips for £15, it could have been served with some sort of vegetables, salad or garnish as it was very small, bland and not worth £15, sorry.

Hunters chicken and the cod special were tasty. Beer in good condition. Bar staff not knowledgeable about menu and thought caper was a type of fish, despite there not being any in the dish. The area below the coffee machine could do with a serious clean.

We booked for Sunday lunch to meet a friend at our half way point. Having popped in effort during the Scarecrow trail, we knew it would be nice based on first impressions and the homely atmosphere. Sadly our first choice of roast (pork) wasn't available at the time we had booked. The beef was great though. One meal (chicken) was also not a roast dinner as initially described as it came with chips rather than roast veg. But, it was a pleasant meal overall so no worries.

Lovely,cosy,quaint little place,just what the village needs as does every village. Popped in for something to eat and the light lunch menu didn't disappoint.

Midweek lunch with a chum after a 6-mile circular walk round Urchfont. On a cold, grey and foggy January day the welcome in the Lamb was warm and friendly. Good Henry’s IPA on tap, much needed! The lunch menu comprises all the regular pub-type dishes but they just seem to be better cooked and more flavoursome than you’d expect. We both had the steak pie with chips and two veg, delicious. And then a ginger sticky toffee pudding with cream which was lovely. With 1.5 pts of IPA each and service, the bill came to £33 a head which we thought was good value considering the quality of the food. Oh, and the pub is dog-friendly. We’ll be back when the weather is better.

We went to the New Year’s Eve party. Delicious canapés and 5 course meal followed by a silent disco. The staff were very professional and the chef was given a round of applause! Such a great way to see in the New Year

Sunday lunch was lovely in a atmosphere of a old worldly pub. Staff where friendly and helpful. Loved the Pimm's jelly which is new desert on me.

Food was absolutely beautiful but my son had sausage & chips and the sausage wasn’t to nice. Little disappointing but everything else was spot on. Beautiful setting, plenty to choose from, friendly, polite & professional staff

My wife and I made a last minute reservation here tonight and I have to say it was a lovely dinner throughout. The service was polite, friendly and prompt. The food was some of the best I’ve tasted (I had the burger) there is nothing I can criticize. The pub itself is well presented with plenty of space to eat, although if you plan on coming here for food, book a table to avoid a disappointment. Top class.

My partner and I really loved the roast!

Arrived on the off-chance for an early dinner, the pub was already very busy at 7pm which was encouraging but it was impossible to even get a flicker of acknowledgment behind the bar as the staff were just busy chatting to other customers. Quite frustrating. Food was ok, service was well-meaning but pretty poor.

Excellent food - the pasta dish is amazing. Very friendly welcoming staff. Only suggestion is that during the summer months it would be good to have a salad dish on the evening menu. Looking forward to our next visit.

Friendly village pub with great food and beers.

Enjoyed drinks and dinner on a couple of occasions while on holiday in Urchfont. We were warmly welcomed and received excellent service throughout our visits. Our small dog was especially welcome! Delicious food, wine and lager 😀 We hope to return one day. In the meantime we will recommend to friends and family. Thank you.

I booked dinner here for my mums birthday in February. Everything was amazing. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The food (home made pie! - amazing!) and beer were great. We live in London and most pubs have pretty much the same menu and we cant remember the last time we found one that actually made their own food. The difference is staggering. If anybody is taking this for granted, please don't! We would desparately love to have a local pub like this. Please love and cherish it for us until we can return. Thank you.

Delicious meal out with friends.

We called in on Easter Saturday and were surprised there was room. Lovely atmosphere and pleasant staff. Two outdoor seating areas and cosy inside. I can't comment about the drinks, as I was driving, but iced water with lemon arrived. We only had a light meal, with lovely fresh salad, which we enjoyed, but other people's looked good too! Vegetarian options, and I get the feeling that dietary needs would be accommodated. Mid range prices. My husband, who is partially disabled, was made very comfortable. I don't think there is disabled access or loo, but plans are afoot I see! Probably best to book....we were lucky.

Just had Sunday lunch which was just incredible ! Fabulous atmosphere , lovely low key buzzing ambiance . Food and service was 10/10. Will be back as soon as we can ! Definitely recommend .

Incredible country pub, with a lovely atmosphere and great staff/owner/family attitude. Had a great chat with the proprietor about their locally sourced meat and pies. The roast was outstanding. Can't fault anything, and dog friendly!

Visited whilst holidaying in the area. Friendly local pub with great beer and gin selection. On second evening stayed for dinner - both went for lasagne which was absolutely loaded with good quality beef, extremely tasty and thoroughly enjoyable, served with homemade garlic bread and a small salad on lovely crockery. An additional side of crispy, hot salty fries wasn’t really needed but lovely all the same. Would definitely recommend a visit

Really lovely little village pub. Steak and ale pie was excellent. Gluten free fish and chips was one of the best we’ve seen. Skittles room available upstairs which made our evening even more fun. Friendly staff and great beers - it’s 5 stars from us!

I came here for my works Xmas party... I've delivered here on numerous occasions but never been inside.. what a beautiful warm friendly pub.. the staff are so welcoming and friendly I believe it deserves a mention. The food was really really nice.. the chef is extremely talented. That Beef stew(?) Was absolutely delicious. The village is lovely and this pub is perfectly at home here. I take my hat off to the staff in here...

Friendly and efficient staff. The landlord and landlady are great hosts. Good food. We made a mistake of going on Remembrance Sunday when there were a lot of young children constantly in and out of the pub and letting the door bang.

Once again Frank the chef excelled. This is not your classic pub grub, it's country gourmet. Sea bream, French beans and Dauphinoise potatoes perfection. And the cappuccino mousse is as good as its entertaining. Put it on your must try list.!

Just feel in love with this place, the staff and locals are so friendly, and the food was amazing the hole family loved the food, the great thing was lots of gluten free on menu.

A great lunch after a long dog walk. This place is always warm and welcoming and the food is great. We opted for ham, egg and chips which was delicious and good value for money. Definitely recommend a visit.

Just finished the best sea bass that I have ever had in a pub. The food here is exceptional. Served on bashed potatoes with perfect cabbage and fragrant parsley cream sauce. Magic. Come here and try it!

Excellent service and very good food.

This is a wonderful place to eat and drink, the quality is superb. The owners offer a warm welcome to their delightful Inn. The chips were seasoned to perfection, the Fafael burger tasted devine, 100% recommended for any one even those travelling through will be most welcome. They do get busy so booking is recommended.

Despite having problems in the kitchen, the menu was reduced, but still first class food and service.

Went on Saturday evening and sat on the terrace. We had fabulous service and were kept informed about our food being a bit delayed, due to unforeseen circumstances. It didn’t detract from our experience and the food was of very high quality and delicious. The menu has something for everyone and the prices are very reasonable. It is great to have a good place to eat in the village and will definitely be inviting friends over to eat there. Well done all staff at The Lamb Inn.

After about a year being closed it is great to see this pub returning with an engaging professional and friendly team. We had the superb Sunday roast with bowls of freshly cooked vegetables on the table. The beer is very well kept and the wines...
