What a truly lovely place to eat and meet in. The food was lovely, the cakes were amazing and most of all the staff were incredible, they went above and beyond with a smile and great kindness. We will certainly come again when we meet up with family in the area

Great chef presents authentic, tasty tapas. Friendly staff, intimate atmosphere. This is the best restaurant we visited in Richmond.

What a fabulous cafe The Little Drummer Boy is. The breakfast menu was extensive with lots of choice. We both thoroughly enjoyed our choices which consisted of quality ingredients well cooked and presented. The table service was friendly and efficient. I’m sure we’ll be back and we’d recommend without reservation.

We called here with friends and had to wait 10 minutes or so for a table to become available. The service was friendly and helpful but the portions were possibly too much as only one out of the four of us managed to finish the meal. Having said that the food was extremely tasty and it was a disappointment that we were all too full to sample the sweets on display. It may be worth mentioning that for anyone with hearing problems like myself, the room is very noisy.

We stopped by here for some drinks. It was dog friendly which was great. Staff were really pleasant, friendly, welcoming and all happy, which was lovely to see. There was a brilliant selection of cakes. Too many to actually narrow down a choice of what to have hahaha. Ended up trying the terry's orange chocolate cake which was super chocolatey, moist and huge! Best of all, the prices for what you get are just as amazing.

Chose this cafe based on all the fab reviews but must say I was a little disappointed. I had a ciabatta sandwich with goats cheese and roast veg - there was far too much cheese smothered on (and I love goats cheese!) and far too many onions in the veg. We took a couple of fruit scones home with us, I only ate half of one as found it very dry and tasteless. On the plus side my hubby was very happy with his ham, eggs and chips and the service was very good indeed.

Popped in for coffee and cake after a 7 mile walk. But if I had realised that inside there very nearly as many dogs as humans I wouldn't have gone in. That said the coffees and Mars rocky road cake were excellent.

Stumbled upon this cafe while visiting the area and decided to give it a go . Dog friendly which is great for us ! Was busy but managed to squeeze us in , would probably be wise to book . Great variety on menu , we went for full English and eggs Benedict. Wow we was not disappointed, best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had and hubby said his breakfast was fantastic. All quality cuts of meat . Sausages was beautiful nothing we could complain about. Our dog loved her sausage too . Staff was so friendly too . Was so good we decided to return for tea and cake in afternoon after our walk . Wasn’t disappointed, scones were amazing and fantastic selection of lovely cakes and cheesecakes . Would highly recommend and would definitely return when in the area .

A while ago our daughter bought us a treat of a couple of cakes from this cafe. And treats they were. So, finding ourselves in Richmond, we naturally made a pilgrimage. The stellar reviews are fully justified. The fruit scones were fantastic and made the offerings in larger establishments poor by comparison [are your ears burning, National Trust Management?]. P.S: there was a queue outside within an hour of it opening.

We enjoyed a great breakfast here on the first day of our trip - in fact it was so good we returned the next day before leaving for home. The food was of excellent quality and presented beautifully and the staff were friendly and welcoming - what more could you ask for?! We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would recommend it to others wholeheartedly

Our 1st visit with friends and we were not disappointed. We had a nice window table and were served by very polite knowledgeable staff. The wines suggested were excellent and the tapas selections we chose were all very tasty and sizeable enough for the 4 of us to share. Can thoroughly recommend if you enjoy really good tapas in a great atmosphere.

Really liked the look of the tearoom, stopped for lunch, it was delicious, staff very courteous and helpful, also really good value. So good we called for a cup of tea and cake later in the afternoon. Would thoroughly recommend. I left my shopping in the tearoom by mistake and didn’t realise until I got home to Lincolnshire. Phoned the next day, the member of staff I spoke to couldn’t have been more helpful and more than happy to post my shopping. Thank you to all the staff at the tearoom for such a pleasant experience.

Very good traditional teashop/cafe. Think Betty's but much more economic. Always busy so booking is a good idea. Lunched there twice. Stand out dishs the cauliflour buffalow steak and the soup with cheese scone.

Superb cafe in the centre of Richmond. Food was delicious, and the home made deserts were superb. The best cheesecake Ive had. Excellent service from friendly welcoming staff. We returned the following day, just as excellent.

We stopped for lunch in Richmond on the way back from Sunderland this week and happened upon the Little Drummer boy tea room- and we were very happy that we did. We had prawn sandwiches with a side of chips and a blue berry scone with jam and cream. We washed this down with a large pot of tea and all was top quality and really delicious. Staff were lovely too and the whole place is very cute. We saw afternoon tea being served to a couple and it looked incredible although it was huge so I'd be taking half of it home!

On edge of village in mini light industrial area of Reeth a few minutes from green. Well run. Nice food. Couple of alley tables. No real view though.

Quirky for sure but very friendly and very keen to please. The soup we had was delicious and having leaf tea was a treat. Scones on the table is a lovely idea but a cover would be better. Lovely chat with the proprietor and really good at engaging with our whole family.

Went for tea after being at Catterick races. Got to say the lasagne was one of the nicest I have ever had and my hubby said his steak pie was beautiful.
