Went to The Loft upstairs inside The Matrix to see Battle of the Bands featuring Reversing Destiny and few others. Was a good night and enjoyed the bands.

My hubby and I went in on Saturday night and because we aren’t young people when I ordered hubby’s bitterI got told ohhh it doesn’t taste nice j wouldn’t get it in other words we didn’t fit in very annoyed

It was alright. Beer pong upstairs was nice. Regular drinks like beers and ciders were cheap. Almost wetherspoons prices. It got busier later on in the evening, but anyone that needed to get a bus out of Grimsby couldn't stay because the buses stop running at half 11 so by the time it was busy most of my friends had gone. The busier it got the better it was because the atmosphere was seperated and seculaded without many people. However beer pong was the highlight. And there's a song machine where you pay £1 in coins to plag four songs. That was great. Played Linkin Park 'In The End' and had the first atmospheric moment at the start of the night where people were singing along to it.

One of my favourite places to go the staff are absolutely lovely and so welcoming! Huge range of music and drinks too for those of us that prefer something a bit heavier

Happy atmosphere. Not overly expensive. Relaxed and comfortable. Good selection of drinks. Clean.

Staff were very rude. We were the only customers in the venue and were spoken to very poorly. Would not return.

Excellent service and friendly staff

Came midweek so can't really comment on how this place is when it's busy & in full swing. Cool grungy rock bar. Good drinks selection at a reasonable price. Staff were welcoming. Love the pop-culture décor with a "Stranger Things" style Alphabet Wall amongst other installations.

Good selection of wyhwood beers

Lovely little bar, great to go drinking in on a Tuesday or Friday night. Plays good music and has a friendly atmosphere. Drinks are slightly expensive but reasonable. Would definitely recommend Beer Pong too.

Grungy type place with grungy customers, take a coat as no heating that I could feel. Not the place for a quiet drink in pleasant and comfortable surroundings.If you are over the age of 21 you won't enjoy the place.

If you're 18 and want to get wasted, I guess it's ok...

If you love rock clubs, this is the place for you. Good music, good drinks, and a whole floor dedicated to playing beer pong (with its own music!) Where can you go wrong?

Best place in Grimsby for a bevvy

Good place for beer pong, pinball machine and a pool table, plays good selection of rock and indie music, the place could do with a tidying up ( lick of paint floor toilets etc) also being told several times by the bar staff they we have only got 10mins left to finish our games did get a bit tedious...

If beer pong and good alternative music to the usual club beats are your thing; this is the place for you.

Since when did the bar dictate which tracks are allowed on the juke box? Baring witness to someone's 'paid' for track being turned off because loud mouthed students did not like that band, the bar person allowed this to happen for their little fans. This most definitely is not cricket and I certainly don't remember this happening 10 years ago or in any pub for that matter. Won't be going here again (not that I did much anyway) and if this is read, it will probably be given the 'meh' attitude with two fingers to the comment. However, remember that pleasing ÁLL your customers is important for business even if it means listening to tracks you don't like on your OWN juke box. But hey, I am sure you will be fine pleasing your small crowd who will cover all your business rates, taxes, energy bills etc and you won't join the LONG list of closed pubs in Grimsby. Harsh review for just a juke box incident? The juke box was the only good thing in that place.No wonder everyone goes up Cleethorpes instead if even the Matrix has gone down hill.
