The Meating Room Harpenden in St Albans

There st.peter burger was easily the best and the mouth watering which i ever had,i been 1st time to meeting room it made my evening with delicious food and great drink with marci smash thank you….DO VISIT!!!!

The food was great, delicious burger and amazing fries! The service was also amazing, two great members of staff always serving with a smile on their faces and always checking ti make sure everything was OK! My one problem, it was absolutely freezing cold in there, I could of sat and eaten in a coat, hat and gloves! Put the heating on and shut the back door!

The food was so good! I ordered a chicken burger with chips. Very reasonable price only £9.50. The customer service was great and the food Is halal too!!

We ordered take away yesterday and the food was absolutely delicious! The mushroom and halloumi burgers were amazing! The kids enjoyed their chicken burger and nuggets. The food was cooked piping hot they also do the best fries!

We walked in sat down for 2 mins and walked out. The place smelt like a urinal and the floor was sticky. I wanted to vomit

We went here for the first time today, the food was lovely and hot and cooked fresh just the way we like it! The chicken was juicy and flavourful in a toasted bun. The rosemary fries were fresh and not over powering. Will definitely be back and even a good place to check out for a take away!

No photos as the food was so good we forgot. Range of burgers, served with rosemary chips, and some great sides. I had a Harpenden burger - lamb, mint and salad, and added a second lamb patty and gherkins. It was heaven. A side of falafel bites came with a minty dip and were crunchy and near perfection. My wife had a cheeseburger with added cheese - it was on point to a 'T' for her, and a side of halloumi which was gorgeous. The chips were super - just flavoured enough by the rosemary. All in all it was an amazing meal on a really busy afternoon in the town. BUT it was made even better by fantastic staff who were cheerful and happy to chat - a real asset to the place. Recommend.

This is one of my favourite places in Harpenden, so convenient for catching up with friends. It is also halal friendly which is a bonus. The location is perfect, you can't get lost. This was my second time and Junayd was on duty that evening We got excellent customer support and the food was beyond expectations 😋 👌 My friends love this place so do I. Thank you Junayd 😊

We normally really enjoy the food from Meating room but this was not a good delivery. I asked for medium rare and it was well done. My partner asked for well done to medium, it was cooked to the point of it being non edible. The rosemary chips felt like they were sitting out for hours and the onion rings were just batter. Normally a really good takeaway but this was a bad one.

Ordered takeaway. Disappointed with food taste and quality. Will not be ordering again.

Popped in for lunch and we were delighted with the food. We tried the burgers, fries, onions rings and a milkshake between us. Food was nice, restaurant was clean and pleasant and the service was five stars.

Great burgers and the fries are really tasty.

The burgers were lovely, the service great, but unless your 16 - 21, its unlikely to float your boat. it's felt like a glorified fast food outlet. The tables and chairs and overall feel of the place just felt clinical and not relaxing.

First time ordering and wow such friendly service over the phone. Food was amazing very flavourful and juicy the wings were amazing over 10/10. Definitely my new go to

Disappointing burger & fries compared to the Berkhamsted branch, not much sauce or seasoning on the fries. Feedback email was ignored but I couldn't recommend based on my experience.

We came here for lunch. Very quiet and friendly staff. Very empty restaurant and food was bland and under seasoned. Not terrible but I wouldn’t come back, could make better at home - not worth the money unfortunately and was disappointed.

This is a very different place, to go to eat. I didn’t know what to expect. All I can say is, apart from us 3 guys in there, there were only 3 other people in the place. The place wasn't the warmest, what made things worse is that every time the door opened, there was an influx of cold air. The 2 young guys serving you were more interested on playing on the phones, out loud. It's not a place I would recommend.

Stopped by in Harpenden on our drive back to Cambridge from Luton. Decided to try out the Meating room as they had a huge gluten free sign on the front inviting us in Junaid our server was very sweet and helpful. Nice dining experience with gluten free burgers

Really nice food but atrocious cudtomer service. Considering my friend and I were the only customers dining in the restaurant. Our drinks took forever, no music playing in the background. The staff just sat around chatting and had a bit of a "couldn't care less" attitude. We weren't asked if we wanted any further drinks or dessert either. Quite disappointing

Order never delivered! We have been diligently waiting in for this order but it was never delivered. The website it saying it was delivered at midnight, but this is not the case.

Food arrived lukewarm forty five mins after estimated delivery

The driver had some issues finding the property; came down to meet him. He was apologetic, though.

Gherkins weren't all in the burger, but other than that, really good!

Just great burgers. Definitely up with the best I have eaten. Pimped my own "Flaming Fleetville" by adding avocado; lots of extras to choose from. Courgette fries are great too. Take your own bottle as they only serve soft drinks. Rather quiet the night we went so atmosphere a bit lacking but overall really great.

Ordered sweet potato fries and got charged for them but only got normal fries. Food was cold.

Visited The Meating Room with my boyfriend and friend yesterday evening and we're all really impressed. Our orders and the service we received we're all spot on! I'm neither vegan or vegetarian but wanted a non-meat option and ordered the falafel burger which was delicious and the rosemary fries were the perfect side. Attentive and friendly service. The restaurant was warm and cosy and the facilities are very nice. Highly recommended and looking forward to visiting again.

Visited today for the first time. Shocking service despite the place having only 2 other customers in the place. Frozen sides, dry, uninteresting burger. Rosemary fries with 0 rosemary. Can't imagine having a spot like that in Harpenden and putting that out as a product. Didn't pay

The food was ok. The chicken wings were over priced. The service was a little disappointing as there was a group of friends of the young waiter serving us he was more interested in his friends conversations rather than taking our order correctly.

Great burger & plenty of chips!

The food was good, but it would have been better had it arrived hot. I think however this was due to the driver and no the restaurant as the food left on time but then took a very long time to arrive making it 25 minutes late! We will order again as the food was good quality and really tasty, and I think would have been amazing had it got to us on time.

It didn’t help that we ordered from harpenden instead of St Albans food was cold and not on time. Restaurant should have cancelled it or passed it onto St Albans branch

The St. Peter Burger (medium well done - as requested) was delicious. The “fire fries” were very tasty, ample amount of chilli that I really appreciate. The onion rings were massive, but very flavoursome. Overall, very competitively priced and very efficient delivery. I will definitely order from ‘The Meating Room’ again.

Finally! A restaurant-quality burger and chips take-away. A little heavy-handed with the salad dressing, but I enjoyed my meal and will be ordering from the Meating room again.

Great food - got it delievered 10 mins away and it took about an hour. That’s the only issue but everything was great 👍

Really clean environment, great seating areas with staff on hand to help. Milkshakes were very good, and the burgers were fantastic, as were our sweet potato fries and onion rings. Kids burger looked delicious and was devoured by our 8 year old in minutes, so thoroughly enjoyed! Reasonable pricing for a family of 4 given the quality of our food and portion sizes (which were also very good) the only downside is that our 9 year old went for the chicken nuggets, and they were clearly from frozen. They were OK, in that she ate them but didn't enjoy them. Some had been over fried and hard, which she gave away to us, so didn't actually eat very much. Lesson learnt, and we will be going for the kids' burgers next time. In the whole, a good experience and ideal for families. Service was speedy, which was good if you wanted to be out quickly and as it was late for us - ideal!

The best burger in Harpenden is at The Meeting Room. We tried all most all of the burgers they, all are equally good.

i came here for dinner with a couple of friends, hoping to try it as we had heard good reviews about this place. sadly our experience didn’t live up to these reviews. the meal was very disrupted by a loud group of young lads which appeared to be the staff. overheard conversations between staff members which shouldn’t be had at a workplace. such as shame that the good food was ruined by the group of lads. will not be returning.

Burger and chips were hot, nothing bad but nothing great about them either. Milkshakes we both had were just runny with 0 flavour. St Albans shop shakes were always tasty?

Always great food here. When we first arrived the young staff didn't seem to know if they could fit us in as we hadn't booked ahead, however the manager, who we know from the Berkhamsted restaurant, seated us without fuss - glad he did as the food was great 🍔🍟❤️

This place has a lot of potential but a few floors they need to address! Firstly for the food alone would have given it 5 starts because it is one of the best burgers i have had. Unfortunately we added eggs to two of our burgers both of which were over cooked, so next time probably isn't worth the extra money. Now to the downsides: - It seemed like we were more of an inconvenience to the people in there serving us, we were the only customers and yet other than giving us the menus (we went to bar to order, we weren't checked to see if everything was okay, we weren't even cleared, we just paid at the bar and left) they did very little other than stand on there phones. - secondly they took a delivery whilst we were eating which meant they had the door open for about 5 minutes (on a cold evening) and they were putting things down the hatch right next to the table we were eating on (surely they could have waited till we had finished eating?) All in all the food was good but the service left something to be desired.

Poor service, average burgers, no beer, very disappointing. Maybe the service has improved since they opened but they need to put more effort into making decent burgers - go try meatliquor, beer+burger, byron, etc. in London to see what it's all about.

Ordered a burger as medium and it came out over done, dry as the Sahara desert and crumbling apart. Sent it back and the server was very apologetic but I wouldn’t come here again.

The burger was over cooked and cold. It tasted quite odd, very metallic. Burger meat did not taste good quality and was misshapen. Wings were similarly cold and quite bland. Courgette fries are too thin and over cooked in too much batter. Rosemary fries cold but ok. Ate in the restaurant and it tasted much better. Shame!

All around a brilliant experience: -server was friendly -food was satisfying -atmosphere was good (I went on a Tuesday evening and they were fully booked) -finally, REALLY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY - I can't remember the last time I have gone out to eat and spent less than £20 per person. For this I got: a burger with extra bacon, fries, wings to share a drink + a tip.

I I’ve been waiting for a American style burger restaurant to come to Harpenden for a long time. I’ve eaten a lot of burgers in my time and these are the best I’ve ever had. The burger patties are so juicy and they know how to stack it with crunchy lettuce. The onion rings are to die for 😍😍

From notification that food was in its way it took almost 25-mins. The restaurant is 5-mins away.
