The Micker Brook in Stockport

Have been visiting for dinner couple times - nice staffs and nice foods. Decided to attend the Breakfast with Santa on the Christmas eve. Booking was made online and confirmed for time slot 10:00 - 12:00. Couple weeks before the booking, queried with staff if booking could be changed to half hours earlier - was told impossible due to the full booking, which, totally understandable and fine. Arrived on Christmas eve on time and went to the table, spent around 20 - 30 mins on ordering and getting the foods, only after starting the meal, staff came and informed us that they will need the table by 11am for another booking - WHICH WAS NEVER MENTIONED BEFORE - not when confirming my booking, not when querying for alternative time, even not when we arrived on that day. We agreed to return the table by time ONLY because we did not want the kids having a bad memory for the long-expected Breakfast with Santa event but such arrangement is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND DISAPPOINTING. Emailed the restaurant to express disappointment and receive zero respond.

Great carvery to fill yourself up on. Usually go every couple of months , the last 2 visits it definitely has improved & a really good selection of meat & veggies. Staff always friendly. Only reason I gave 4 stars & not 5 stars was our table had no cutlery & had to take from another table & noticed one of the knifes was dirty otherwise would of give top marks. You have a choice of gammon , pork, beef & turkey , loads of veggies , mash or roast potatoes, gravey , & selection of sauce apple, mint , cranberry. Very good value

Breakfast was delightful and the service from Michelle, Christian and Jerry was 5*. Highly recommended.

Love coming here for breakfast, price is reasonable, unlimited breakfast and great atmosphere. We were served by Lori she is very welcoming and great service

We went there for Pizza making, which was a fun activity. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The chef was lovely and patient with our subpar pizza making efforts! Our waiter George was very attentive and made the experience fun. Would recommend

Always a great experience coming to the mickerbrook , the best most caring staff always make sure I'm OK and get home OK, Emma and Ruslana was was very helpful today and always very chatty and kind

Went for the pizza making for a birthday party and our host was George. He was very attentive and engaging even though it was busy in the restaurant. The chef and Jess at the bar were also very helpful. Pizzas were very nice, cooked beautifully. Will definitely be back 💯.

Went for the serve yourself breakfast and was really nice and cheap. Ben served us and was friendly and attentive seems to like his job which is rare to find these days

Lori that served us at the bar was excellent, friendly and helpful. The chef are the carvery was not so pleasant, no eye contact and grunted, 2 small dry slices of meat, the veg was a little better, disappointed, don't think we will visit again in a hurry

Staff are always very friendly. We were served by Matt, Lori, Sadie and Ruslana today and they were all so helpful with my mum and walked her through downloading the app to get a discount. So lovely and chatty- made our experience better.

Always come to have carvery with my mother and grandparents, always a lovely atmosphere here and nice staff.

Lori served us today and was very smiley, always a comfortable pleasent experience visiting here. I have disabilities and never once have I been judged! The food is always fresh and bang on!

Lori is fantastic good with people. Food good and gluten and dairy free food available. Clean and friendly.

RAJA and Ben have both been amazing - ensuring that our visit was a great experience- nothing was too much trouble. I noticed that all Team were very happy on shift which reflected on everyones visot. Thankyou , we will be back .

We came for a Birthday party reservation for 12 the food was better than Gordon Ramsey - this restaurant shall not be on an episode of Hell’s Kitchen more like Heavens Kitchen!! Raja and Benjamin were the best servers I’ve had the pleasure of being served by the service was phenomenal they are both top notch and always made the table laugh they were funnier than Mickey Flanagan and made us all smile!!! Their service with a smile made us want to buy the whole restaurant if only we could! Truly an amaizing experience. Thankyou Stone house and most of all Thankyou Ben and Raja 🫡

Can’t beat the price of the all you can eat breakfast - Roger was lovely and ran around after the kids who wanted chocolate and maple sauce on their waffles - nothing was too much trouble! Excellent service.

Went for the cavery and was not disappointed. It was lovely and Raja (one of the servers) was lovely, explained things to us and came to check that everything was okay.

Great value for money food was great unlimited breakfast set me.up for day, Raja was a fantastic host, highly recommend.

We had a lovely family at The Micker Brook. Majority of us had carvery which was delicious. Plenty of meat and veg to choose from. Food was hot and very tasty. We were served by Raja who did a great job. Highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely place to eat and a lovely selection of drinks to go with it, the worker called Ben was exceptionally helpful and would recommend to anyone wanting some nice food and drinks

Went in today and recieved a lovely experience here. The staff, notably Isobel, was fantastic with us. Me and my wife will definitely be visiting again and requesting the young girl. The food was delectable. And a very reasonable price too!! Absolutely no complaints here.

Had a very tasty cavery at The Micker Brook. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. They always go above and beyond. I eat here alot and I am never disappointed. Keep up the good work. Give yourselves a pat on the back. Well Done !

Really busy and great atmosphere. We were served straight away and ordered the carvery. The food was superb, really fresh and piping hot, one of the best Ive had in a long time. A special mention to Mackenzie serving the meats, top professional. Highly recommended

Booked for breakfast with Santa! Fabulous atmosphere! Santa was a huge hit with our little grandchildren.Breakfast was hot, cooked to perfection! Special mention to Julie and Aarron who kept the magic of Christmas for the children. A* Will deffinately come again, the new lay out and surroundings are great for larger groups too, more space. Breakfast - great value for money, nice atmosphere, staff all very nice but Raja was amazing, he looked after us very attentively and was just lovely, nothing was too much trouble, you don't get that from most staff these days so would highly recommend.

We had not visited for breakfast in a long time, so thought we would give it a go, we were greeted with smiles and served by Raja who explained the breakfast and took payment very efficiently, we picked our seats and went to get the breakfast, there was a great full English selection, plus fried toast and potatoes with onion which sounded odd to me but tasted great, I then noticed my server was Raja again, we got our food which was lovely, help yourself to toast and coffee, half way through our meal once again Raja appeared to check everything was OK, as we finished our meals we wanted one more coffee, the wife made the tripto get us both a coffee but returned with only one cup as the coffee had run out, she told super Raja before she brought my drink back, by the time she got to the table, the coffee had been replenished, which is superb customer service. For all round value and service the mickerbrook breakfast was amazing on this visit.

Best all you can eat breakfast I've ever had but what sold it to me is the relaxed atmosphere and staff, never felt any pressure to rush and had a coffee and chat whilst breakfast settled, anything amiss was sorted by Paul in a jiffy... Will definately go back.

Not a great experience. Ordered food all came at separate times, starter came with the main and kids food came last after everyone else was eating. Also noticed a few other tables waiting long periods of time between courses. Bit disorganised it seemed to me. Probably won’t eat here again

Our server Raja was very polite and nice, he was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and he cleared away any plates and glasses quickly, he made our visit a lovely experience, wishing us all a happy new year as we left.

The carvery turkey and pork were good but the vegetables were 'tired'; sprouts OK but the carrots were tasteless and the cauliflower too hard (and I don't like it overcooked). The roast potatoes were also tasteless and hard inside. The staff are lovely as always but I won't be having a carvery again unless it improves.
