The Mill in Kingston upon Thames

Half arsed student bar. Do not order food on the app/website. Prices are alright for kingston. They run out of Guinness a lot. Don’t bother trying to order food as the kitchen usually closes at random times or it takes ages. Staff are clearly students doing a side job and the bar is rarely staffed enough. You will always be waiting at least 5 minutes to order a drink here. Not the staffs fault but the management need to hire more people or rota more people on during evenings and Friday/Saturdays.

tried to buy a drink and they kicked me out because my id had a scratch on it so it looked "tampered with", offered to show them my student id that could have confirmed my age matching with the passport but they refused. and the waitress that kicked me out was genuinely horrific to look at. and she walked off with my passport without permission and showed 5 different people before kicking me out???????????? she also looked like a slice of red velvet cause of how caked on her makeup was.

This is nicely positioned near to the river and the market square. Unfortunately this is where anything good ends. We were there for a family birthday and had booked the table, they knew we were coming. The bar server was pleasant but so slow. The food took hours to arrive. the burger was burnt, the chicken melts were in paninis that looked like part baked that someone had forgotten to put under the grill. They had no salad of any sort in the building. The steak and Ale pie came on paper with cold lumpy gravy and less than an ice cream scoop of mash. The fish and chips with mushy peas were also on paper. Lovely if you like to eat soggy paper with your dinner. I recommend that you find one of the other lovely establishments in the area until they find some new management and someone in the kitchen who can cook.

I and my husband were part of a party of ten, that had a table booked for 2.15 yesterday, it was my Nephews 40th Birthday and was supposed to be a celebration. But there was only one person serving behind the bar and bringing the food out. The food was very basic and not very nice really dry! The wait for food was unbelievable over an hour! The last couple waited an hour and a half for there's, and unfortunately we had to leave as their's arrived, we had plans for after the meal, but due to the wait that had to be cancelled. It was the worst eating out experience I have ever had. I wouldn't recommend any one to go there unless you just want a drink and the river view! Would personally never go back again!

Booked a table for a group of 10 for lunch after Kingston Half Marathon, which they didn't even bother to set up, claiming that the place was empty so why bother? Not surprised it was empty, half the menu was out of stock, nothing was offered as replacement for parts of a dish that were missing. I mean check out the amount of 'Burger sauce' on one of our burgers 😂. Drinks served in dirty glasses. Honestly just all round the laziest and most half-assed service i've ever experienced. I would be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was just an off day as this place in general has alright reviews, but it was just such a let down on a day we were hoping to have a good celebration.

Went in last night for a drink, great service and very accommodating, got two pints which were great and a sex on the beach cocktail, both drinks were priced really well, would highly recommend. Had a peek in at the quiz as I was unfortunately too late for it. Will definitely be back for it next week. Was served by the manager on shift who was very efficient and was very welcoming.

I LOVE THE MILL ❤️❤️❤️ We come to the pub quiz on Tuesdays nearly every week and we love it. Alex is a brilliant host and the quiz is always a BLAST 💥 They also do £2.50 pints for students 💥 highly recommend

It's a great place to go with friends and great value for money. Has a pool table and a beautiful river view.

There is always great service and friendly staff and bouncers. Also the live music is good on fridays, would recommend.

The best pub in Kingston. Had another fantastic night in the mill. The staff are amazing, really know how to look after you. Great atmosphere, great view of river, pool, sports, cheap drinks and £3 happy hour to top it off. What more can you want?
