What a great place . Our second visit and this time with friends. Great food and value for money. Staff outstanding and very hospitable. Recommend this place 100%.

Food was lovely and good value for money, highly recommended.

My first time here and definitely won't be last. Food was really tasty and for price I don't know how they still in business tbh. Only slight niggle and it is only a niggle was it was a bit chilly in the restaurant which meant I had to eat my curry quick as it was going cold a bit quicker than I would have liked. But again for price I can't fault it service is polite and friendly (yes it's a bit of a wait but there are only so many staff and at price they charging it's obviously popular) but if you can be patient trust me you won't be disappointed.

We used this place every weekend for takeaway and birthdays ..we booked a table for new years eve for 8.00 as soon as we walked in I noticed it was chaos as no food on tables and the room was absolutely packed we had a round of drinks couldn't pay as they were charged to the table .After 40 minutes and nobody moving or seeing any food we had enough. I went to the counter to pay for the drinks the waiter was rude and said no give me a min will get you a table . (I noticed on the bar the seating times they was still on the 5.45 ) the rest of our group had gone outside and low and behold the barman chased after them and was very aggressive and rude to the rest of us then came back in I told him I was trying to pay ....he then snatched the money from my hands and walked off .....I eventually got my change and said something in a different language..I said thankyou and left ...(yes I understand was clearly stressed and very busy and also understand a bit of waiting would be involved. ) there was people there for takeaway been waiting well over an hour and other customers in front of us ...Don't deserve to be treated like that and manners don't cost anything. The food is absolutely gorgeous and we have never had an issue . Sorry won't be using again ...

Always great food at Mumbai. We have been many times before but not since before COVID. We are so glad we have returned. The food was amazing and so tasty. The service was amazing and we will definitely be returning. We had the 5 course special and it didn’t disappoint.

Been loads before food outstanding gone today christmas day with disabled son never again . Felt rush at beginning starters ok then main well 20 mins later just got . My son wrong mine cold told staff nothing done . We had no dessert or coffee . People complaining bout bill then ours came joke. Was never told to fetch receipt when paid deposit try charging 130 plus for 6 drinks o yes 4 pops extra. Then talked over me to my husband when it was me paying and saying if stuff was good or not which they knew was not . Shame if cant do outstanding food all time don't over book plus I have been in this industry over 15 years so now how it works .

To be honest I wasn't expecting much from the 5 course meal deal. It just seemed too good to be true! I had poppadoms, fish parkora, lamb tandoori, naan bread, and icecream. Amazing food for the price! My 8 year old son loved it he said he wants to come again and try some curry next time. Drink is cheap too! Thankyou for a great evening.

Only the 2nd time I've been here but wow, the food was amazing. Sizzling starter for 2 was very nice. Best madras I've ever had, creamy then the spice kicks in 👍. The mrs was very impressed. Loads of dishes to choose from. Only problem now is we'll have to keep coming to try all the dishes 😁. The service was also fantastic & very friendly, well done Mumbai lounge 👏

I've been coming here for years now, and I love it. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is on point, and the value for money is second to non. The "mixed sizzler for 2" starter is a must for meat eaters, and the chef's specials are all very good. If you are anywhere near Darfield, I would suggest that you try it out. They also do takeaways, however you do have to fetch them, as they do not deliver. If you're looking for tasty food, with a great atmosphere (that won't break the bank), then this is the place to try!

Been eating here for best part of 12 yrs the Staff are great very attentive . The food is some of the best I've had at a curry house .always tastes fresh . Price is great if you have the special Menu which is on every day . Typically costs 2 of us around £37 . Please note it is a cash only restaurant..

From the moment I placed my order, everything was seamless – the food arrived on time, piping hot, and the aroma that filled the room was absolutely mouth-watering. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors. The Jalfrazi chicken was perfectly with just the right amount of spice, and the Chicken Tikkia Masala was fragrant and cooked to perfection. The naan bread was fresh, soft, and the perfect accompaniment to the meal. You can tell that the ingredients were high quality and the care put into the preparation really showed. Not only was the food exceptional, but the portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the meal. The staff was also incredibly polite and made sure everything was in order. If you’re craving delicious, authentic Indian food, look no further. I’ll definitely be dining in again soon!

A real Gem of a place .. I can say without a doubt by far the best Indian food I have had in a very long time with an amazing choice of deliciously spiced starters mains and sundries .. Polite cheerful friendly staff who were very helpful .. to make it all better the price on a Saturday night £54 for pickle tray ..a massive tandoori sharing started .. 2 mains rice and the best peshwary nan ever pint of lager and a large glass of wine.. portion sizes huge I took almost all my main home .. This place is a must for Indian lovers it has to be 110 out of 10 for us .. go on give it a go

Parking the car was like driving in a pit shaft. When we arrived. In the restaurant i clasped the table to pull it towards me ss i sat. It was all sticky underneath. Yukk. When the starters arrived it was lukewarm and tasteless. I had a lamb dish. It tasted very old. Or microwaved , or both? And again it wasnt warm. We were a party of 3 people. Another member of our party left all of his peices of chicken. For £80 it was very poor. Needless to say none of us will be revisiting. Some of the staff were ok ish. If i could give a minus star award. I would.

It's OK, I think it needs a big revamp as looks tired and a little dated. The toilets definitely need a good clean and some money spending on it. The food was plentiful and tasty, however the lamp chops where very red with spices and, a little too salty but overall the food was ok. I wouldn't rush back

You’d be hard pressed to get better Asian food than this - totally delicious and non-greasy and fresh. After a mix up at New Year’s Eve, we went back today for another meal and mentioned it and the manager sorted everything out without issue. Now that’s customer service! Thoroughly recommended.

The starter was served with raw, frozen chicken in the center, and the wrong main course was brought out. Additionally, when it came time to pay, I was informed that only cash was accepted, requiring me to locate a nearby cash machine.

We attended as a family, though a short wait for a table as we forgot to book in advance during a busy Saturday night, the overall service and atmosphere was excellent. The food was well prepared and abundant with fantastic deals for family's and couples. Well portioned. I had never eaten there before but would definitely go again

Enjoyed another lovely meal at Mumbai Lounge tonight. There were 5 of us who all went for the 5 course deal, the food was amazing as usual!! It’s never too long a wait in between courses and the staff are so friendly and welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Christmas Day was ruined 45 minutes waiting to be seated . Children were starving nothing was offered. An 1 hr waiting in between starter and mains , rice was brought out after mains were eaten . Customer service was appalling - will Definitely not be returning.

Food was good, service was shocking. 45mins late before we was even sat down, 1 HR wait between starters and mains. Complaints from all over the room, fights behind us and a waiter squaring upto us with the bill. All in all Christmas ruined and won't be back again!!!

We have been eating here for years and can honestly say it's always the best in taste, fantastic service and always at a reasonable price for the quality of food , It will always be our favourite Indian restaurant and we will look forward to returning very soon . The Silcocks.

Unfortunately on the day we went there were only 2 waiters working and they were full as a lot of customers had just "walked" in but the food was lovely
