The Myrtle Grove, JD Wetherspoon - Bingley in Bradford

First time back since Covid, 2 meals and 2 soft drinks £14, what's not to like felt safe, not too busy and well spaced out.

Again just popped in for a drink of hot chocolate seems like a nice place quite busy at the time

The staff provided really great service and the atmosphere was good.

El martes 10 de diciembre visitamos aquí con mi hermano - en la ley - y su esposa. Mi hermano -en- ley recomendó probar el nuevo plato "Pollo coreano pegajoso". Quería pedir un curry porque los curry de Wetherspoons son una fave de minrle. Mientras empujaba el nuevo plato pensamos en probarlo. ¡No nos decepcionaron! Muy sabrosa, salsa pegajosa, además de una bebida alcohólica, todo ello solo £ 10. No sé cómo lo hacen.

Fui a tomar una cerveza con amigos... alrededor de las 11:00. 45 pm escuchamos a una señora gritar al pub que todos necesitamos irnos en 10 minutos... sin previo aviso, sin últimas órdenes. Unos minutos después ella entra irrumpiendo por el bar gritando a todos que se vayan. “Fuera ahora” se escuchó varias veces cuando empezó a tomar bebidas de las mesas. Cualquiera en las máquinas tragamonedas tenía que tomar su dinero e irse. Horrible gerente con una actitud horrible. No es nuestra culpa que no le guste su trabajo. Es una pena que aunque solo es una cuchara, siempre es un favorito de los fans para una pinta rápida y algo de comida.

Quick food service, even though very busy

Like coming here. Had the fire cracker bowl. Nice and clean pub. Always busy. Friendly staff

The woman who served me the lager just dumped it on the bar a pint of shipyard which needed over 1 minute to settle down before drinking the other pint was abbot this was very cloudy and didn't settle we had to take it back we were told is last in the barrel?? However teaches these people to pour drinks needs a refresher course. The food was tasty but not very hot we spent over £50 this is not what we experience in other witherspoon pubs we will go back soon and see if there is an improvement 😉

Very poor weatherspoons, food order was cold when it arrived .mentioned it to manger ,they just warmed it up in microwave.

A 'Spoons but ready for a refurb. Staff were a bit grumpy but it was very busy. Food and drink pretty standard for 'Spoons.

Food was overdone and dry - the large mixed grill I ordered arrived as a mere standard sized mixed grill, gammon was overdone and therefore dry. A garlic bread pizza was dry and it seemed was merely a 9" pitta bread, SPRAYED with garlic oil. Sorry if I appear harsh here just being honest and straightforward as always.

It's a wetherspoons !! A good one at that, another post parkrun breakfast in another town,spacious place, warm inside considering the open plan aspect. Our eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and staff were lovely and polite

The food was awful. I had a veggie breakfast. The eggs were not great, the sausage looked like it had survived a nuclear reactor leak, the beans were force cooked (could taste it). The only thing on the entire plate that was remotely enjoyable were the chips. They know how to make chips but that's it 🤷🏻‍♂️ The staff weren't exactly 'welcoming' or even offered a friendly smile but did come over and asked if everything was ok. I could have said no but it's wetherspoons, I shouldn't expect anything other than cheap right? Well, for literally a couple of pounds more I'd rather go to the Loft and at least enjoy the breakfast 👍🏻

It's wetherspoons, what do you expect . Bring back the lamb curry. Breakfast today, Eggs Benedict were spot on.

Great range of beers. Currently £1.99 a pint for the beer festival selection. Ever changing range of ales all year round, mostly local breweries too. Always busy but never rowdy. Good place for a decent, cheap couple of pints before splashing the cash at the other pubs and bars in town.

0800 31/10/21 OMG that's disgusting smells worse and it looks bad. Maybe they thought it was ok to serve up to a regular customer 22.09.24 Once again burnt acrid smelling and tasting bacon. How difficult is it to cook bacon.

Todas las mesas disponibles estaban llenas de vasos y platos sucios. Una desgracia total. Estoy harta de este bar en los últimos meses. Se ha deteriorado totalmente.

Very crowded smaller Wetherspoons, service generally pretty fast.

It's what I would call a modern Wetherspoons. They haven't taken over an historical building and it's a bit like sitting in a Working Mens Club. They were popular in the 70's and 80's!

Game of 2 halves with this Spoons. I use it more now that the Shipley one has closed. Both are/were the nearest Spoons to me and both are the most dismal two Spoons l've ever been in. Food as expected...ok...staff are top, as were the Shipley staff, pony tailed brunette never ever stops, asian guy doesn't either and is always super pleasant. Place is a dive though and there's no beer garden to escape to.

It's a spoons. It is what it is. The food is to a set standard, decent selection of well priced drinks. Good staff/service.

Booth making his first visit to Bingley. He decided to pop into Spoons for breakfast. This ex cinema is one of the smaller Wetherspoons and already doing a roaring trade at 11.30am. Had a simple small breakfast and a miners Benedict. Both did the job. The bar had a good choice of nine real ales. I had a fine pint of local Goose Eye brewery, Chinook, 4.2%. Booth a diet coke. Great value as always. Good service.

Busy pub with good atmosphere. Two men were doing a fab job of delivering food and clearing tables, another person would have helped. I'm on a virtually fat free diet and managed to make up a children's meal with almost no fat!!

Wetherspoons are pretty consistent, whichever one you choose. I like the chicken wings, which are lovely and crispy. Sometimes the food can be a bit cold, especially the chips. Not this time though was great.

Yeh was a nice pub what I also liked about the pub is that the facilities are down stairs in most wetherspoons they are upstairs as to which I'm not keen on

Sunday 14th July 2024 This is a great Bingley weatherspoons This pub has a good guest real ale pub with 4 guests on and the is a must when in Bingley

Great place 👌🏻 very busy on a Sunday morning, but that did not stop our breakfast coming quick smart !! Cheap and very cheerful 😊 loved it ❤️

Typical Spoons, but I do miss a smoking area like they have in the Keighley one.

Curry club... price increase but still good value for money

Standard service for a weather spoons, lighting was pretty poor, food was microwaved as usual. Service was standard. Facilities were clean. Table was not cleared when we arrived.

So a member of staff comes round asks how the food is and for the 1 time in 30 that we found the food awful on this occasion. Nothing no making it again no refund, terrible customer service, would post a photo if it allowed it.

Love place a little busy but breakfast was hot and tasty

I go here pretty often with my mates for a catch-up and always drink more than we should but regardless of that, this place always has a good selection of drinks and the food is good too The staff are quick and efficient, we usually use the app to order our drinks/food and it usually arrives not long after we've ordered. From the conversations I've had with the staff too or overheard with other customers they're just a laugh

Called in for our lunch with the Girls, Got a table straight away even though it was very busy. Got our order and drinks very fast , Food was lovely !!!

Really enjoy the food, it was the first time we had been out without the kids. The service was quick and friendly, the atmosphere was OK there was music playing but not too loud, so you could have a conversation without shouting.

You can't go far wrong for value for money and service here, nice steak and g&t

You'd never give a Wetherspoons 5 stars for food but everything there you'd expect. Bingley isn't a hive of activity but the pub was packed when the remainder were pretty quiet.

The place was very busy and hence our food was mediocre I'm afraid. Though at quieter times the food is generally ok for pub-grub. Hey it's a Wetherspoons, it's hardly going to be fine dining is it!

Having a weekend in Bingley we needed food so as usual we looked for a Wetherspoons as we know it will be good. This was no exception, udusl good standard of food, quick service, friendly staff

Another decent spoons. Another unique carpet. Food and drink was sound. Strangely though the toilets were on the ground floor!

Felt rough, and unloved, the servers looked filthy, and I suspect they were cooking the food. I know it's not their fault, but some of the clientele were obnoxious and smelt bad. Don't think I'll be using this 'spoons again.

Not the biggest Wetherspoon's, but centrally located and obviously popular with the locals. I opted for one of the manager's specials , a beef and pancetta lasagne, down from a ridiculously overpriced £9.47 to a far more respectable £5.47. My order was politely taken and the meal brought to my table hastily. It tasted fine.....but certainly not worth the advertised £9.47....dear oh dear Tim, how can you charge this much??!! A pleasant evening in the pub amongst plenty of Bradford fans licking their wounds after today's mauling!!

Having a short break in the area. Came for breakfast and had eggs benedict. The female server although very busy was kind, very polite and came to clean our table for us. The food was quickly brought,very tasty and lovely and hot. Would return should I ever be in the area again however just to note that the disabled toilet would not lock and I had to have a family member stand outside so no-one would enter.

Large open planned Wspoons venue. We'll situated for the train station with Lidl across the road. Popular place with a good selection of beers.

The pub needs a urgent refurbishment the roof was leaking and you got dripped on whilst eating your meal. Not the best food, it's gone down hill my daughter had to wait 20mins for her meal after we had eaten ours as they forgot to cook it.

Excellent food and service. Tables too crowded together and lacked the local knowledge and history some of the other restaurants have.

Not a bad place, we went on curry day and got stuffed good,with food that is,not taken for a ride,might go again.

Breakfast clap cold, plate freezing!!

This is the worst Wetherspoons in Yorkshire, too many tables cramped in. Not enough staff to clear tables, customers clearing tables. Leaking toilets. Not nice at all.

It’s ok, not bad, it’s cheap and reasonable, if you want a cheap pub to go to when in bingley wetherspoons is good for this! It can get quite crowded but overall it’s not a bad pub. The Coke is a bit watered down sadly, the food is decent! It’s an average pub

Breakfast was spot on and service was brilliant, staff very friendly, place was clean and tidy.

Seems friendly, a much better cooked range of food that Keighley, their dough produce is Under cooked, very bad for the digestive system, poor NHS

Decent beer and some very nice chips. Service a bit hit and miss, overall much better than I expected.

Rude staff,food is questionable, sticky tables and toilets.....well, best not go there! Let the company know and they said all was within regulations! Appalling!

Bar staff very surly no smile or thank you. Pubs are struggling need to have friendly bar staff who don't make you feel you are are an inconvenience an hour before closing. The whole place b Need a re vanp no change since opening.

Ok for a Wetherspoons, not amazing. Prices are as high now as other pubs and cafes around, breakfasts are expensive now, but portions are small.

It gets busy between 3-6 on a Saturday, so it can be difficult to get a table. Ordering through the app works fast, nice staff.

Met up for a wake of a family member who lived abroad when sadly passed so was joining the celebration of his life in this pub aswell as in Gran Canaria night was going smooth and non of us loud at all apart from raising a glass to our lost one.. bearing in mind I had only ordered on the app to my table 4 pints I then went to the bar for one last one to be told I’d had too much, once approached staff it was my group that had too much.. no there was a group celebrating a lost life so when collecting glasses seemed a lot but that was as a group not a individual .. a man earlier on fell on his face & I was the only one that picked him up and made sure he was ok staff didn’t care but they clearly served him way too much.. rules are wavey in this pub I won’t be spending a penny in there again.

I ordered steak medium it was so tough couldn't eat it.Tables were dirty and it wasn't busy so no excuse.I will never eat there again.

Lovely little 'spoons' pub. Good quality real ale. Toilets on ground floor for a change which is a rarity in JDW pubs. One member of staff a little abrasive towards me when asking for a top up on lager but other than that, great staff.

Very busy outlet and often difficult to get seated. Great prices, but breakfast dishes are sometimes served lukewarm or cold. Some food appears to be kept warm, rather than being cooked to order.

Food excellent value so was the drink.Will be back if in the area again

Very disappointed at Witherspoon's as no advice that the kitchen was closed for new floor why they cannot message customers via the app we have turned up to a closed spoons so many times so we drink/eat else where now.
