Great service once again from Cal and Josh. Quick drinks, quick food and always with a smile ❤️ Glad to have a quiet drink and a separate area to chat. Very festively decorated and always a warm welcome 🤗

Lovely, friendly staff but the food is rank. The children’s meals veg was dry and tasteless, the sausages microwaved and the sweetcorn tasteless. You can get far better for your money locally.

Visited The Observatory yesterday, to have Sunday lunch and watch the football and arriving at the pub found a table quickly. The atmosphere in the pub was welcoming and friendly. The pub Hastings landlord last year is spotless clean and well maintained. My husband had a Sunday lunch and it arrived at the table. Hot portions are large and the price is really good, but the standout thing for us as a family was the excellent service that we received from two young ladies that was Jess and Olivia they had excellent knowledge of the menu, two lovely smiles and nothing was too much trouble. They had a credit to the management of the pub as you can see how well they have been trained will definitely return and it will be a pleasure to be served again by these two young ladies. Thank you.

We went as a family for Sunday lunch and were amazed at the quality and quantity of the food. Four Sunday roasts for the amount appeared too good to be true but the food arrived piping hot, with great service and friendly staff. Had a meal here for Mother’s Day. Very very pleasantly surprised. The turkey and beef were cooked perfectly, veggies Al-dente, gravy yum. One of the best pub Sunday lunches I’ve had. Shout out to the chef’s Mark, Lewis and Leo.

Me and my family went there for a nice birthday meal and it was amazing. After years of going to the observatory I don’t think I’ve ever had a better steak. We also asked for extra and the we got it. We got great service for Allie behind the bar and cooperated amazing even when she struggled to use the system. Then we were served after about 10 minutes with are starters what were amazing nothing under cooked nothing over cooked. Then when we had finished we got a 20 minute wait what we asked for and it was ready when we asked. The steak I had was perfect it was medium rare and it was amazing. However we didn’t get much of are sides but when we asked we got brought out more with no fuss. The chef mark was amazing definitely worth keeping. We also had a really nice waiter called Jess who was very kind and even starting to speak to us what made are day. Are meals were the best we have had in a long time since years ago at the observatory and hopefully will stay amazing. We will definitely be going there again very soon.
