Lovely, welcoming staff who were all friendly and cheerful which started our evening off well! We all enjoyed our dinner and , even though we’ve visited the pub before, we felt that the welcome we had this time was the best yet!

Been here on numerous occasions when visiting Machrihanish visiting family looked forward to our visit. We, my sister and i, were shown to our table in bay window- our favourite - and looked forward to our meal. Menu choices have been reduced substantially and although my sister is not a fussy eater, had difficulty choosing a main course. Staff were lovely, especially the young girl who served us and still learning but did her best. We ordered wine for our meal and asked for a sauvignon blanc we had previously but not available. Give us another sauvignon - no, none available? One of the most basic wine requests. Food we did have was cooked well but felt it a bit unfair that the shortcomings of food / dishes cooked was left to more junior staff to deal with.

Had dinner here on 2 nights whilst staying at the local holiday park. The food was fantastic, would highly recommend. Probably best to book in advance as it’s quite small and you wouldn’t want to miss out. We will definitely be back when we are next in the area again

The pub was cosy, and the grub was served in very generous portions. Unfortunately, there was no real ale on tap.

Located just by the ferry this is a great cafe. I recommend the Cullen Skink ( smoked haddock soup), really good. Friendly service too and good value.

We stopped by for some lunch and had the carrot, chilli and coconut soup of the day. Came with some soft, seeded bread and anchor butter. Was a supremely tasty meal and filling too. "I would have it every day". Our server Lauren was friendly and without fault, excellent service. The interior is a rustic pub, without eons of patina, there's a pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend the soup wholeheartedly!

Food was lovely and well priced. 2 courses for the price of 1. I got soup to start which tasted homemade, a hot roll and butter which was lovely. My main was tempore haddock and chips with peas and tartare sauce which was absolutely gorgeous tbh. Well impressed. My husband had chicken strips in spicy sauce to start and a burger with skinny fries and coleslaw which he really enjoyed. My son had chicken strips and fries for his main, his dessert was brownie and ice cream - from the kids menu as he is 9. My son's dessert was forgotten about for over half an hour but he got it eventually when I reminded the server; they were busy so I can't feel too annoyed. Lovely restaurant. Would eat there again.

Been here many times before, will go many times again, great food, both had a steak, asked for medium well, was cooked perfect, even had a starter, and desert, was lovely, service couldn't have been better and it was quite busy but well staffed. Breakfast was very nice too, no doubt be back later in the year.
