Top tier pie and pint at a fantastic pub. A great atmosphere, warm and welcoming - highly recommended and will be coming back for sure!

We got sick after eating the BLT chicken sandwich. Unfortunately it didn't taste that good either. The pub looks nice, but wouldn't come here for more than a simple drink.

One of my most favourite pubs in central London. The steak is amazing and beer as well! Staffs are quite friendly!

Unfortunately the worst experience possible. I booked a table for NYE for drinks and dinner. I received confirmation on my email and then also a reminder about my booking. At the arrival manager on duty had no idea about my reservation. And told me that kitchen is closed . And I can only order food if I know what I want because chef is really upset already. No menu. Nothing. She told us that she had no idea about our reservation. Nobody ever bothered to call about early closing. So unprofessional. It was NYE. Not just a normal day. She also said that everything around is closed wich wasn’t true because we went to w pub across the street and they welcomed us with dinner. After last orders another women came, i think someone who work there, as she came behind the bar and took a bottle of beer. Even though I was seating just next to them manager on duty was talking about me. She said that I just didn’t want to order food. But how could I, if I didn’t even see a menu. And obviously she was talking about me. Honestly it’s unbelievable to me how come you can treat your guests like that. I work for hospitality myself. And taking care about guests and their plans and celebrations it’s the most important thing for us .

Very nice place, it has about three floors, the one downstairs is very nice, cozy, good food, fresh fish & chips, good as expected and a fairly large plate, but the service is very bad, no one serves you there, you need to look for the waiters who do not want to talk or help during the stay, many foreign tables. Most of them get up and leave because they are not served and on the other hand you can order food by QR code because it has waiters at last very nice place and we eat well the attention is sad

The food and the atmosphere are great, it is very well cooked and very well decorated, but sadly the service is very bad, if you go there, do not expect the waiter to serve you, because you have to go to the bar to order or do it from the app, no one warned us, and when we called the waiter they didn't answer us. We spent practically 30 minutes waiting for them to pay attention to us, and many people left because no one warned us that we had to order at the bar.

Waiting for an hour for a poor, dry sandwich, the salad on the side was hot and shriveled, our plates had to wait for 1 hour in the keeping warm. The waiter doesn't speak, I had to ask for our meal because I was starving and it was only for this reason that I finished my plate (and because I had paid). The restaurant was empty and the waiters were on their phones ignoring us. INADMISSIBLE TO FLEE

Potential good Place. Food looked nice, But If the kitchen Is as clean a the toilets ... Help! So we left before ordering but After having tò wait and insist tò have our table cleaned up. Staff ... they don t seems tò like their job or tourists, but that s my feeling . Not a Place we felt wellcomed or I would try

Stopped here for lunch with group of 6. Toilets were non operational (blocked), most of food cold and ineadable, staff member could not tell us what the meals were when brought out, general mood of staff is grim and uninterested. One meal was so bad that we asked for money back which was given. Do not recommend.

A great pub and nice service from Aldo! The atmosphere is very inviting and doesn't have a tourist like vibe. I didn't like the taste of my half pint and the bartender was nice enough to exchange it for me. Seasoned fries and and the thick cut chips were tasty! Oh and the mulled wine was nice as well! :)

Do not eat here!! Food is overpriced and disgusting. We stopped in here for lunch on our way from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace. Have been warned about these places however looked like a nice place from the outside. Silly us! Cost 69 pounds for 3 steak sandwiches, chips, nachos, 1 small glass of house wine and a pitcher (jug) of lemonade. Food was terrible! Service was fine. No complaints there.

Great wee bar. Friendly and accommodating staff. Aldo put the darts on at our request and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back.

I had scampi and chips. Was ok. But my partner had mac and cheese!! Completely inedible. She described it as vile. Manager was lovely but couldn't refund her money as I had used a friend's and family discount. And partner had diarrhoea after having tasted it. Avoid at all costs.

This beautiful bustling pub is situated just steps away from St James’s Park Station. It was super busy for lunch but staff handled all the pressure with smiles and efficiency. I had the Beyond Meat Sprout Pesto Burger (VE) and it was very tasty. My food was delivered quickly even though the pub was packed. I might just have to come back and book one of the ‘Vaults’…cute curved areas in the cellar. Worth a visit for sure.

Waited an hour for a tepid “toasted” cheese sandwich. Chips were dried up and tasted old.

I would not go here for the food - sandwiches were dry and uninspiring. Chicken wings were ok. The place had a lunch deal (11 pounds for food and drinks) - but due to a computer issue they could not offer this when we were there. The drinks and atmosphere were nice however. Come for a pint but go somewhere else for food!

Horrible Sunday roast, completely raw vegetables, overcooked meat, very dry potatoes, I managed to eat everything only thanks to the mayonnaise, an experience never to be repeated again

Die Trio Fries sind sehr zu empfehlen, die Bedienung war nett. Die Getränke waren groß und ausreichend, sehr schöne Einrichtung!

Good food with generous portions. We had the fish and chips. Asked for recommendations for a good beer to go with it, Aldo took his time to give great service even though the place was very busy at the moment.

Delicious fish. Chips were meh. BLT sandwich was meh. Bathrooms are up at least three flights of stairs.

Great food & choice of drinks, we both had Katsu Chicken burger but lots of other option. Relaxed vibe and super friendly staff including Aldo.

Nice English pub with a traditional decor and vibe.

The food is excellent, the dishes a little particular but delicious, not the usual fish and chips, etc. the price is good considering the quality and the location, then there are offers with more dishes at a lower price, good beer and various choices.

The restaurant experience was frustrating. They don't take orders at the tables, forcing you to leave your seat and climb the stairs just to place an order. It felt both inconvenient and ridiculous, taking away from the enjoyment of the meal. This setup is unnecessarily difficult and detracts from what could otherwise be a pleasant dining experience.

The surface is really bad, You have to go to the bar order!!

The drinks selection is great, with a variety of beers and ales to choose from. The food is classic pub fare, hearty and satisfying. The staff are friendly, and the service is quick, making it an ideal place to relax with friends or unwind after a long day.

Food was fabulous and our server Aldo was excellent!

We walked a long distance to get in here because of the positive reviews. Sunday afternoon around 17. The schedule says it’s open until 19h. We arrived and a rude guy in the entry doesn’t let us in, and he says: we are closing. Not even a kind “hi, how are you?” What a disrespectful and poor customer service. 1 star is too much for you.

I was walking by and wanted a drink so I went into the pub. Had very nice time at this pub. Hana and Kathryn served me great drinks. I would definitely go again.

From a non-english perspective, this seems like a true english pub. Don't be put off by the staff's character, they are not here to wipe your shoes, just living their life and very efficient as well as smiling. People are criticizing their unfriendliness but I don't think staff should have to bend over and call you majesty when they are serving you. Efficiency and smiles are all that you need to have a good time. The food and drinks are great and the pub itself is pretty. Customer service is as it should be and the lady serving us was nice. The young gentleman at the bar, probably in his early twenties, named Aldo is a nice man and probably a good drinking buddy. Good experience overall. Vegetarian and vegan options.

Stopped by while I was out of town on work. It was a nice place to set up camp while I had a few video calls to do! I had some lunch during my visit and the food was great (especially the brownie). Aldo and Hannah were really lovely and welcoming too!

Lovely traditional pub with incredible food and fantastic service. Great location (literally near St. James’s park underground). The vegan Sunday roast was absolutely amazing. Recommend it 100%!

As a child, I had been here before, and in my memories, this was a fantastic (and delicious) place to have lunch. After several years, I finally got to visit the place again, and it fully lived up to my memories! Quick, friendly staff, located at a beautiful central spot near Buckingham Palace and the adjacent park! Highly recommended, by far one of the best fish and chips places in London.

Staff were quiet but pleasant. Helped us bring drinks to the table. Every where was sticky however. Surfaces and floor. Signs every where saying toilets for paying customers only. As a paying customer (£6 a pint) the toilets were awful. Downstairs ladies one out of order the other had no seat. Asked and was told to go upstairs behind some rope and up some stairs. One toilet covered in water spraying from the bowl, the other seat hanging off.

Found it via dusk app and woman serving me the offer was nice will revisit

Worst experiance ever. The staff looks like why you came here?. Worst sunday roast i have tasted ever. Burned Yorkshire pudding and roast potatos.

Spent £75 on 2 cheese toastie that were not toasted and liquid cheese. Bao buns were inedible. Chips were ok. Poor food.

Great little pub just off of St James Park and handy if you’re on your way to visit Buckingham Palace or the Royal Mews. Friendly bar staff and a chilled atmosphere. I haven’t eaten there but the food I saw was traditional pub grub and looked very tasty.

Nice pub in Westminster with lots of different beers on tap. Good amount of seating inside and a nice atmosphere with people spilling out into the street. Quite expensive but expected given the location.

Absolutely fabulous little pub, coming from an American’s first time in London it was an absolute treat! Staff were beyond exceptional, particularly our waiter Ed! He was an absolute doll and made us feel right at home! 100% recommend to anyone with families!

Traditional english pub. I guess they didn't like the foreigners very much because the same people always came :)

My friend and I have only been in London for a brief trip. But we had heard great things about the pubs in London. We found ourself a traditional pub across the road from the tube station St James Park. We were greeted warmly and the staff spoke through how we order as we have never been to a traditional English pub. I ordered the steak and ale pie and the cod goujon sandwich , this was amazing. Anyone visiting London I would reccomend this Pub by far !!
