The Old Windsor Cafe in Windsor and Maidenhead

Having given up on the disaster that is the Windsor Farm Cafe, I was desperate for somewhere to get a decent brunch. This place is lovely. Spotlessly clean, including the very important loos, really delightful staff and excellent food. I had great coffee and a sausage baguette which would have fed two. (I ate the whole thing.) So, if you want a proper cafe, not an overpriced tourist trap with stale food, this is it. Highly recommended. I told one of the staff I'd leave a review, and bless her, she said never mind that, just come back! I'll absolutely do that.

Brilliant! Opens at 0630 on weekdays (7am on Saturdays). Ideal stop short when flying from Heathrow. Great breakfast. The vegetarian breakfast is amazing!

We got the hotel through an offer so can't comment on cost,. But as soon as we arrived we were greeted by a lovely Scottish lady at reception who took us to our room which was very nice, bathroom especially. Ate at the carvery which was busy and a bit of a bun fight. Bed was very comfy some noise but to be expected but all in all very good

Mmmm, comida encantadora. Necesitaba el desayuno debido al comienzo temprano, The Old Windsor Cafe lo tiene todo, para comer o para llevar. La gente amistosa me dio la bienvenida y me ofreció una deliciosa barra de desayuno y una taza de té perfecta en mi propia taza. Tampoco hay envases de plástico. ¡Yo debería volver! ?

La comida: Ambos tuvimos el gran desayuno con un té / café. Esto cuesta alrededor de 8. 50 y fue brillante. Todo el desayuno era de buena calidad y bien cocinado. Incluso nos dieron un gran plato adicional lleno de pan tostado fresco de la tienda (disculpas esto no está en la imagen). Atmósfera: se sentó en el frente y vio pasar el sábado el mundo de mrong. Muy agradable en el clima adecuado. Servicio: El servicio fue excelente, no me puedo quejar. Comentarios constructivos: Incluir el té o el café en el precio del desayuno.

Moved to Windsor and for the year we were there we always had breakfast at the old Windsor cafe. The breakfast is honestly the best we had in Windsor and definitely recommend its a small space but very cosy and your always made to feel welcomed.There parking outside which is a bonus :) *****

I drive up to Heathrow from the South Coast several times a week sometimes early in the morning and often need breakfast. This cafe is the best I have found - lovely service, good food and not expensive.

Like so many independent cafes who offer a genuine alternative to the chains. No pretensions, no fuss, no bother. I stopped whilst cycling by, had a sandwich (very generously filled) and a coffee - great coffee which the staff told me that they "have a thing about coffee". Don't go to anywhere in Windsor if you plan to journey through Runnymede towards Windsor.

My son and I just randomnly stopped off at this place on our way home and we were treated nicely by the two ladies in the cafe.i had a chicken and bacon baguette which was so tasty and absolutely massive and my son wanted a jacket potato. We came just after lunch and all the potato's had gone however what they did do is make him some beans and sausages separately and gave us a drink for the trouble.Really impressed!

I took my olds in September 2017 after a trip up the river. Lovely staff. Gorgeous cakes and cuppa. What more can you want. Very nice.

A SOUPER little gem on the Straight road.Food always freshly prepared on the spot. Staff A1, nothing is too much trouble!!Breakfast options first class.Look out for the daily specials board : mouthwatering morroccan tagines, the ultimate comforting and hearty sausage casserole and the selection of scrumptious homemade soups.Excellent value for money.Chef Dave even prepared to add a touch of haute cuisine.If you do one thing in any week make sure to pop in.Leaves the taste buds wanting more!!

Very friendly service and coffees were served very quickly. Parking can be a challenge and the toilets are not ideal but for a very small cafe, they're making the most of the space they've got.

Happened on the cafe our first morning and loved the breakfast so much we went back the next morning. Everything was freshly made and delicious. Careful consideration was given to us as customers, right down to ensuring my coffee was the best I've had!

We have visited this local place recently.We had spicy chicken wraps with garnish of salads.The flavours were so intense and fresh.The owners where very friendly and professional.Their coffee was so tasty.We definitely will come back to this place.Local people make a difference.

Me pasó por probar algo diferente y no me decepcionó. Fue un tiempo de almorzar, así que tuve que intentar burger - tan increíble! ! ! ! Yo soy muy exigente en mi café capuccino, así que tuve una experiencia tan buen sabor y barista hicieron mi día. Los dueños son muy apasionado de una comida y muy amable.

The food is great, reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly. As a local it is nice to have such a great cafe just around the corner, I will definitely be returning.

Really enjoyed our full english breakfast, fresh and tasty. The service was very helpful and extremely nice. Definitely coming back there!!! Good value for money though...

El título casi lo dice todo. Tienen una buena selección para elegir que se ocuparán de cualquier casi cualquier paladar, pero para mí, la salchicha, huevos y bacon baguette sale eclipsa cada vez.

Just needed a quick snack on a Saturday lunchtime and this café did us proud.Coronation chicken and chicken tikka baguettes in lovely fresh bread were made and served quickly with friendly service with a smile.

When I say simple, it is not a criticism. The food here was good value and very tasty. Don't expect fine dining, but I would return here.

After a long walk around Windsor Castle we stopped at this quaint unassuming little cafe in a prime location opposite.With a handful of tables which were half full due to late time we arrived it was a blessing to be able to sit down. We ordered a large pot of tea a a slice of delicious chocolate cake. The service was personal and efficient and we chatted to the owner for half an hour as by this time we were the last ones there and it was after closing but she didn't rush us out. She told us some interesting anecdotes about the royal family visiting and their various escapades around the town. It was a lovely hour spent and would highly recommend this to one of the franchises which were just round the corner and twice the price.

Busy at lunchtimes which is nice to see. Decent selection and not too long to wait. Baguette was great and I think there were plenty of options available.

Stopped off on the way home from Uni. A great little individual cafe, with just a few tables, fresh food and a lovely mug of tea. Would go again.

My first visit I was pleasantly surprised as they have a good choice of hot and cold sandwiches and rolls, my hubby and I opted for a bacon rolls and even asked if I would like the fat left on or cut off the bacon which was a refreshing change and I had the choice of soft/crusty/baguettes or bread. it was cooked to perfection and quickly, my son had egg and bacon roll and said it was really nice and it was all reasonabley priced too, my next visit I will try the all day breakfast roll :) Great food and will be visiting again.

An affordable little cafe on a busy road is a convenient spot for a good cup of coffee (or tea) and breakfast. The fry ups are incredible and my bacon sandwich was delicious. They have just opened and the queue was out the door. The one woman was coping brilliantly and politely with the rush and kept her sense of humour the entire time. I'm sure these teething problems will work itself out when she gets some staff. I will go back again and again.

Delicious fresh bacon and egg butty with lovely real coffee... extremely good value and the owner/staff are really friendly and eager to please.

Have just been to the new cafe in old windsor very very good will use again great value for money and very good service
