Stopped for a quick sandwich and coffee, smallest sandwich I I’ve had in a long while, served on thin sliced bread. Cost for 2 sandwiches and 2 coffees was £24.20, extortionate in my opinion

Ordered a roast, was told it would be 40 minutes wait which was fine. I told the person at the till that I would be sitting outside. I waited 45 mins outside, went back in to chase order to be told it would be another five mins. My food was then brought out by a server and he said I was difficult to find. I highlighted that I had already told the person at the till that I was sitting outside. There was only myself and one other table occupied outside. I tried to cut into the beef and couldn’t as it was tough. I managed to shred a piece and it was stone cold. I then tried a potato which was also stone cold. I went back in with the dinner asking for a refund. I had waited nearly an hour for cold food and now had no time left to wait for a replacement. The server never did come outside to find me or my order number sign so I assume they left the food on the side to get cold. I am that unhappy with the service and the cheek of the server saying I was difficult to find that I’m not likely to visit Busy Bees again for food or otherwise. Remove the outdoor seating if your staff cannot make the effort to walk outside. In future I’ll head to Brading for a home made roast for the same price and better reviews.

Popped in for breakfast as I had an early appointment nearby. I was only going to have a pot of tea and a pastry until I saw one of the cooked breakfasts being served. It looked great so I had to have one and I wasn't disappointed. It was excellent. I chose the largest option which is the Gardener's Breakfast. The quality of the items on the plate (bacon, sausages, eggs, hash browns, tomato, beans) was first class so it all tasted delicious. It was freshly cooked and presented well with two thick slices of toast and butter on the side. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'll be having it again. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the service was great.

Another excellent meal at Busy Bee Garden Centre Ryde. I have been visiting Busy Bees for many many years and it never fails to provide excellent quality food. Excellent menu and gorgeous cakes. Too be honest for quality and value I don't think you will find better on the Island. £18.95 a large quality meal, a gorgeous dessert and drink, excellent value in todays days. 5 star ☆☆☆☆☆ service as usual for quality, value and service. Well done Busy Bee, if only all businesses were run as good.

This place is a school hall style cafeteria which gets trade from the busy garden centre/gift shop - but dealing with a grim faced. unsmiling, borderline rude staff member detracted from the otherwise pleasant experience at the Busy Bee. We paid £40 for two simple cafe meals and two fizzy drinks. Seating was uncomfortable - hard wooden chairs, too close to the next table. We wouldn't recommend this place if you're a local, there are plenty of cafes and pubs nearby which offer a much nicer welcome, better food and better ambience for lower prices.

We took nine friends for afternoon tea to celebrate my wife's birthday. Everything was prepared as we had requested and the service was excellent. The delicious food was very plentiful and beautifully presented. Everyone took some home. We were very impressed! A lovely occasion.

Nice atmosphere and food, especially the pizzas. A little pricey for a garden centre and the terrace could really benefit from some parasols to protect from the sun as sitting out there on a nice day is not possible especially with children.

Food average unfortunately. Staff plesant. Was interesting to watch how the tables were cleared in a timely manner but the guy was walking round with anti bac and a cloth in his hand but not using it, you would think hygiene was a priority

My Husband & I booked the Christmas Dinner and reserved a table for 1pm yesterday, Sunday 13th Nov Our table was ready, crackers & cutlery. We ordered our puddings and drinks and then sat at our table. The counter staff, waiting staff and obviously kitchen staff need to be applauded for all the hard work they do to make a dimple dinner date so enjoyable. The food was hot, plentiful, fresh and so much! Pudding was divine and a lovely fresh coffee ti finish it off. Thank you all so much for working so hard. You are appreciated. See you Thursday night 😁😊. Jan & Chris Canavan.

Last time we ate there for breakfast the sausage and bacon were cold but we gave it a second chance so went back. There was only 3 other people eating hot food so not busy so we ordered 2 breakfast, again the sausage, cooked tomato and even the beans were cold. The hash brown was burnt! Never again will we go back. Awful. Has really gone down hill.

Visited for breakfast. Everything about the visit was a disappointment. I feel sorry for people who go here instead of trying other places based on some of the positive reviews. Firstly, the dining areas is huge, with zero atmosphere and feels like eating in a supermarket warehouse, absolutely freezing too and did not want to take my coat off. Seating was on an old church pew (random decor) which was uncomfortable and cold. Gardener’s Breakfast for £10 arrived within 2 minutes of ordering which was worrying within itself, delivered by 2 staff who were as cold as the room with no word uttered. The food itself was truly awful . 4 slices of toast which were all burnt. 2 burnt sausages woefully over cooked yet still pink in the middle. Plate swamped in thin cheap beans and no sign of any mushrooms or black pudding. Bacon was heated and barely reheated yet was passable however the grilled tomatoes were limp and the egg was rubbery with no runny yolks. Best bit was the has browns which were of an acceptable quality. Latte was as frothy as a cappuccino. This was such an overpriced visit. You are paying top dollar for a work canteen type experience. There are plenty of eateries on the island that offer quality produce with a warm service but this is not one of them. Please enjoy your breakfast elsewhere!

My husband and I regularly visit the Olive Tree cafe and find the service and food excellent. The breakfast is fabulous and the quiche is amazing and the best we’ve ever had. Tried the pizza yesterday and wow once again the best my husband has tasted. Love visiting here, thank you to the manager Kris and his team 👍

The minute you walk up to it you will realise it's just "over 50's haven" meals priced at pub meal prices of 8-11 pounds yet when our meal arrived (we counted it arrived within 5-6 minutes) it's just microwaved rubbish! Bacon was chewy all the way through and salad looked like it had been there for days! Quiche was sloppy and over microwaved obviously made days ago, it was awful, the chips were cooked in old fat by the looks of it.For the price we paid of 20 pounds for our meals we could of gone to the fighting cocks or any other pub and had a lovely freshly made meal. Won't be returning. On the plus side it is always very clean and the staff, friendly.

Always lovely for lunch, especially the prawn baguette or raspberry pavlova! Only negative thing is the price, £2.25 for a bottle of Coke which would only be £1-1.50 in a shop, extremely overpriced

We went early (08:30) for breakfast. It was a pity that they did not switch the heating on until they opened because it was distinctly chilly but had warmed up by the time we left, hence only four stars. The 'small' breakfast was plenty big enough for us pensioners! Bog mugs of tea and the same staff every time we come to visit. The breakfast itself was very good with sausages that are locally sourced and very tasty. The only problem for us was that it cooled very quickly before we ate it all. There was a choice of white or wholemeal toast.

After reopening again in 2023 after its closure in 2022 everything seemed to be going well until late in 2023 when despite not having any information that it had closed, it shut one night never to reopen. No notices in the windows. No announcement like last time to tell their loyal customers that they'd decided to close down. And now it seems it HAS closed down & is being turned into flats! Well, there's a lot of unhappy people from over the last 30 years who would have liked to have been told 😔 Bad form Chip Ahoy....

Living nearby we are always on the look out for a new restaurant to add to our list of eating out places. My husband booked the Table for my birthday meal. First impressions were good, bright, fresh, clean and welcoming. With a lovely well stocked bar, a cocktail before dinner was most enjoyable. As for the meal itself it was a mixture of highs and lows. Possibly some of the staff are new to their jobs. The wine was opened and poured without being offered the chance to try, the waiter looked surprised when my husband said he would like to try it first. We had to ask for bread, but when it arrived, still warm, possibly home made, it was served with a delicious olive oil, balsamic vinegar and garlic dip. One of our guests first requested choice of starter was unavailable, as the restaurant was almost empty this was a surprise as I can’t imagine they had run out. I had a starter of mackerel, in my opinion this should have been thinly sliced as the gin cure hadn’t penetrated the fish completely so was a little chewy. But was still edible. A main course of whole plaice, or possibly sole, was pleasant but so undistinguished I can’t remember what fish it was! It was though bordering on the over salted side, but as someone who chooses not to use a great deal of salt this could be a personal choice. Served with what was listed as a Greek salad, although with the addition of mint rather than oregano, it was very tasty nevertheless. My husband had told them it was my birthday but alas no decorated birthday wishes plate, or even a candle in a sweet was offered. Overall a pleasant evening with friends, but I doubt we will be adding The Table to our list of restaurants to return to.
