Unwelcoming from the staff. Afternoon tea was limited to one very small pot of tea person with only 4 choices of tea. Egg mayo and salmon in tiny rolls and pureed! One delicious coronation chicken finger sandwich but then an unappetising cucumber and mint one. The rolls were tiny. Scones were nice. Cakes also tiny. People who wanted to take cakes home were provided with boxes meant for wraps. Not value for money and not the pleasant experience we had two years ago.

Lovely setting, staff friendly , helpful and attentive. Disappointed with quality of afternoon tea- scones were fresh and tasty. Sandwiches were poor- we were last sitting of day but apart from dryness, the range was bland. The cake delicacies appear highly manufactured and lacked quality or taste.such a shame. So perhaps worth a visit but avoid afternoon tea?

Food was lovely. Service very poor. We asked for dessert menu. It never appeared after waiting 15 minutes. We just asked someone else for tea and coffee. Very disappointed

Afternoon tea was amazing, staff were attentive and professional. I don't agree with adding a gratuity onto the bill. I feel it is presumptuous as a gratuity should be given at the discretion of the customer for good service not automatically added.

Had booked lunch here for 12 noon after the Upstairs Tour. In a lovely space and plenty of menu choices, all was great. Delighted with the three courses, with a glass of wine. Finishing with coffee and cappuccino. It was an enjoyable interlude, enhanced by the pleasant and friendly staff.

Unfortunately, the experience was a complete letdown you would expect such a prestigious setting would create a prestigious experience. I’ve had better afternoon teas in a tiny tea room just goes to show bigger isn’t always better. Save your money get a meal deal from Waitrose. Miserable maître D although our waitress was lovely.

I walked in to have afternoon tea. I was really excited to try afternoon tea here but couldn't, thanks to the rude manager who refused to serve me. I walked in, and there were only five tables taken while over 20 tables were empty. The host was rude when she asked if I had a reservation. She said she needed to ask her manager. Her manager came over and rudely told me in a very rude tone they couldn't take walk-ins. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, and I was nowhere close to closing time. I tried to push back but didn't get any decent response. I guess the kitchen didn't want to cook. I'm surprised the restaurant didn't want to make any more money for the day. I think the real reason is that they don't like to serve foreigners. If you're not British, then forget getting served. So don't bother trying to show up to this restaurant if you don't have a reservation. It's not like most people know when they are going to be at the Palace anyway.

Treated myself to the Afternoon Tea service and chose the Sir Winston Churchill option, which includes a generous glass of his favorite champagne, Pol Roger. Enjoyed a most excellent meal which included four tasty and inventive savories, a large and perfect scone, and five desserts which were all beautiful and delicious. A feast for the eyes and the palate; worth every bit of the price charged.

Perfect place to have lunch if you are on a day trip to Blenheim Palace. We sat inside, but had a great view over the garden. The restaurant fills up, so make sure you book a table in advance.

We had afternoon tea at the Orangery Blenheim. We could not fault the staff who were kind and helpful. The setting is beautiful too. The pot of tea was good but the sandwiches a bit dry and a couple of them also tasteless. The cakes were not the quality you would expect, and some slightly soggy. We would also not choose the more expensive afternoon tea as there was not much difference between the two except the price. Just for info there is an optional service charge/tip added to the bill.

There was a mixup on our booking. Odd choices of lunch dishes. The food is overpriced - big plate, not much on it. I had the burger with 5 rings of warm gherkin and a small bowl of potatoes, as I did not want any fries. Friendly staff and service. Overall not worth the £80 we spent on a very meager and disappointing lunch.

The Orangery at Blenheim Palace is the perfect spot for an afternoon cream tea. We opted for the Fashion Icon cream tea at £65 per head. It had a better selection of savoury and sweet treats than the standard one. It also came with a glass of sparkling rose. It was a special visit so the price was fair. I had the vegetarian option and it was delicious. The room is recently refurbished and is light and airy. The staff were welcoming and attentive. We had a very pleasant, calm and relaxed time. Highly recommended.

After a long time in lock down took aged P out for a day trip. I booked afternoon tea on the terrace. Lovely weather and afternoon tea. We liked the savoury canapés instead of the usual sandwiches that many restaurants serve.Waiters all wearing masks and gloves plenty of hand sanitizer. Aged P loved it the view across the gardens and certainly was a welcome treat.

Yes very spacious and commercialised, but has lost its quaintness I'm afraid. Sold its sole. The cafe needs to sort out the queuing problems with certain people's attitude to "not queuing". You end up with cold food and an unpleasant eating experience because of someone's bad manners. More experienced staff on hand may help with this issue. Also, the manner in which our food was produced / presented doesn't help e.g. soup sloshed all over the soup bowl and running down the sides of it over the tray. A pity. Lots to improve on though. The shop and toilets were good / clean.

Had a great time at The Orangery last Sunday. Welcome, atmosphere, view, food, and service fantastic. Relaxed, calm environment, thanks to the excellent staff.I had an amazing and refreshing Tomato Mozzarella Salad and my partner had a very tasty Crispy duck cake.As Main course we had a beautifully cooked roast of beef and chicken; the cauliflower cheese is to die for.For dessert, we had a delicious Custard tart and a very refreshing Summer Pudding.Andrea looked after us when we arrived for Sunday lunch and during the whole meal supported by a team of professionals. Look forward to returning; I noticed that are selling cocktails between 4.30 and 6 so definitely will be back to try a few.

Good family run pub with good pub grub. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They also allow dogs for people who are looking for somewhere to go with their pooch

Three phone conversations with the hotel management eventually confirmed that a Sunday roast could be obtained in the Terrace resturant. A table for 7 was booked and confirmed. On arrival the Terrace resturant was set up for a wedding ceremony. No other dining tables were apparent. On querying this with bar staff we were abruptly told "not our problem".Eventually found a deputy manager who set about laying up a dining table amongst the wedding guests ! Meanwhile we tried other local venues but couldn't get in within our timescale. We eventually sat for our anticipated Sunday lunch in a crowded golf club bar surrounded by a multitude of wedding guests. The food was obviously recently pulled out of the freezer, looked and tasted same ! HOPELESS !!We recommend training for front of house management in the art of coordination and courtesy for members of the bar staff.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Delicious panini afresh made to order. It’s quite basic as a cafe, you wouldn’t want to stay for ages, but it’s perfectly nice for a quick lunch. Also delicious pastries & cakes. Eat in or takeaway. Good value.

We had a wonderful stay at the Three Horshoes on Christmas Eve. Our room was warm and comfortable, the pub had a great atmosphere and the breakfast was excellent. They also provided a stocking packed full of Daylesford goodies for us to open on Christmas Day! Thanks to Annie and team for making us feel so welcome once again. The Stuarts x
