It's always good to pop in for beers when in Canning Circus! Whether it's just the 1 🙁 or a session 🙂! Great beers are on offer, and they serve Newcastle Brown! There is outdoor seating, which is great if you have the weather to sit outside! We didn't have any food, so can not comment on that! We will be back.....again!

It used to be a great real ale pub but lack of care of the ale I won't be popping in there again to give you a bad pint knowing its a bad pint and expect you to drink it in my books is crap

Music is too loud to talk but bartender called Jamie arrogantly refuses to turn it down. I have to look for another pub.

Great service by Mo! Was looking for a porter and she talked me through all three. Tried them all and settled o. The toffee for the desert.

Drinks only, Blue Monkey Mango IPA excellent along with a fruit cider, the music was superb, love The Smiths, prices very reasonable, seems to be run by students?

They changed something about the lighting inside and now it feels corporate and bright 😭 this had been my second fav pup of all time (after King Billy). Really hoping they bring back the cozy vibes 🤞🍻

We visit this bar every now and then as newbies to Nottingham. Me and my bf think it has a nice and friendly vibe. I like the lighting at night and the decor is cool. The staff are friendly and the music that plays is nice. It has a moody, fashionable, artistic but chill vibe to it, which is unique. The beers are good and they have variety. I definitely think more people should visit this place. A good place for date night pints or a vibey session with the girlies and the brethren.

Spent the evening here drinking with my family and was served by Les and Jayk who made our evening amazing and they went above and beyond and couldn’t fault there ability to host the place.

Friendly staff and good atmosphere

What a fantastic pub , young staff are second to none, Yezme ,Arlea, Kezia, and Jack are brilliant . They provide great service , with a smile. Great real ales , well kept, lovely decor, great outdoor seating area. What more do you want.

Would not recommend. The staff seem have no knowledge about craft beer or cask beer, you can tell it's their first jobs and not been properly trained. They're behaviors were not professional, it's like stepping foot into someone's student flat. It was not a nice atmosphere and very uncomfortable. When you're visit a brewery venue, this is it not what you except. Food menu poor. There's potential here for a great pub with fresh local beer and amazing pub grub, but sadly it falls flat. The only good factor about going was the manager, Ben. He was extremely knowledgeable, polite and genuinely seemed to love working in hospitality.

Everything I come in this pub I always drinking there staff are very friendly and it's the only pub I know that sells brewski peach lagar which is gorgeous

12 45am on a saturday day morning i asked the bar manager to call me a cab to get home as my phone was dead and i was alone as to which he replied no sorry we dont have a phone here,, bearing in mind this pub is situated in a not very safe neighbourhood of Nottingham,, this annoyed me alot but in the end a lovely barmaid called me a cab ,,, i think they need a rethink on the safty of their customers,, his attitude was disgusting.

Excellent beer from Blue Monkey. An off pint was very quickly replaced after the barrel was changed.

They don’t serve food but they’re happy for you to bring in whatever food from outside. Very friendly staff and are very accommodating. They have quite a few board games. Also take song requests.

Came into The Organ Grinder for a beer or two and left with a full stomach and an even fuller heart. The beers are delicious and the vibe is wonderful. Everyone is friendly and welcoming (for a non-local). Jack needs a shout out, he was working behind the bar and he was funking amazing. Great service, great banter and just a lovely human. He helped me with some tourist related things but honestly his personality was what mad the experience amazing. To the owners of the establishment, either give him a pay rise or some shares in the place. The reason I'll be coming back is because of him. What a legend. Thank you The Organ and more importantly thank you Jack!! See you soon!!

Great pub, one of the best in Notts

Visited the OG in Nottingham for the first time. (We usually use the Loughborough one) A bit out of the way to find but worth the uphill walk from town. The familiar own branded beers were available as was a Cinder Toffee stout, which tasted lush. Sadly, all the pies had sold out for the day but, otherwise, a nice visit.

Hiya coming back from a hard days work nip to blue monkey pub on Alfreton Road had my first pint payed for on card 4 40 which was all good second pint charged 14.40 for 1 pint luckily my bank notified me about this so any one going in there paying by card be careful as they cam charge anything and plus I do not trust the staff as I confronted the staff he was very quick to give the ten pounds back and the staff did not get this from the till so please be careful when paying by card thank you

Being a fan of Blue Monkey beers I was looking forward to visiting this place and the ale quality didn't disappoint. Guy working there (Matt) was an excellent host also, knowledgeable and friendly, complete opposite of the misery guts I encountered at the Kean's Head in the centre. Trick here is if you work in hospitality, be hospitable, it helps. Overall a very good experience

Following a blue monkey beet tour, we went in search of a public house that sold the range. Really friendly staff, old fashioned pub with atmosphere and character. Sold all blue monkey beer ,husband loved it. Will definitely go again

Being a Blue Monkey Brewery Pub, The Organ Grinder has excellent ales and excellent, warm and friendly service from staff who obviously enjoy their job! Matt and the team are great at making you feel relaxed and are knowledgeable about the drinks and snacks available (The Pork Scratchings with the Chocolate Stout Jam were a revelation 🔥). For more substantial food, Lauren and Adam (formerly of The Wing Waggon) are really passionate and friendly about food and service and their sliders, fries and slaw are spot on at wallet friendly prices. A must visit location if you're in Notts and want a drink/food 👌🏼

Such a friendly little pub! The organ grinder is one of the most down to earth pubs in Nottingham. The staff are so friendly and welcoming! Eahh night they do something different so you can pick the day to go. They have pub quizzes, wing nights, board game nights etc. One thing I found which I've been enjoying is the film nights where they have a screening of student films. Very cosy atmosphere plus its free! They even give you popcorn which is great. Fin does a lovely job hosing and each time is unique. As a flavour of what they do id look at their Instagram. I even make the trek despite living 15 mins away these days

First time visitor here, spent the evening sampling the great real ale selection, all good. Staff friendly and knowledgeable, wold recommended if visiting Nottingham

Popular with young and old alike. Short walking distance to city centre down Maid Marrion way (down hill). Several other bars/pubs and lots of world food eateries a stones throw away. Happy hour from 5-8 Wednesdays. Pub quiz nights, Dj's playing soul/Deep house. Friendly and warm atmosphere!
