The Ottoman Doner in Tower Hamlets

Honestly the food is just not good, even if the food was free I don't think I'd eat it. I ordered the super deal. It was filled with so much rice it felt like I got scammed. A decent amount of mixed kebab. The lamb doner was nice but the chicken doner was so dry even with sauce it didn't help much. Will not eat from here again.

Ordered a lamb doner wrap and chips to be delivered. Portions were small and tasted odd, as a turk, the “doner wrap” did not taste authentic at all or nice for that matter. The meat was grainy and bland and the bread used for the wrap tasted out of date. The food wasn’t cold which was probably the only positive thing I can say. There are a lot of positive reviews for this restaurant but my personal experience wasn’t the best especially given the premium price tag. You’re better off saving your change and going to a real Turkish restaurant.

Foods alright but am I ordering from a trap house or a Donner joint? Customer service needs improving. I checked with someone else and apparently 'its just the way they talk' no way geez expansion of vocabulary is necessary. Find me petty but it makes a massive difference on how often I'd spend my money in a local business.

Great lamb döner, friendly service and very affordable prices!

This is a very good shop but recently possibly because they can't handle the busyness they have been making too many mistakes I asked for buttermilk chicken burger which normally contains mayonnaise they gave it with the tangy red sauce instead, I asked for a meal of 4 I only received 2, I believe it is due to not being able to handle being too busy but I am giving the review because this is a very good shop but need to be made aware so they can manage things as good as before.

Amazing food every single time!

Excellent food. Best doner in London hands down! The clean lean meat with their house chilli sauce is top tier. Elite stuff! Add in some chips, salad and their house garlic sauce and you’re in heaven! The portions are MASSIVE, two people can easily share and be full. The empire burger is another exquisite item on the menu. The mix of a triple beef patty with some doner meat thrown in makes a unique combo! Love it! The buttermilk chicken burger is another you don’t wanna miss! Quality food without extortionate prices. They’re consistently good and always on point!

Honestly this is the best kebab I’ve ever had that’s why I’ve actually left a review that chilli sauce honestly I have personally never had better and I’ve eaten in 5star Michelin restaurants and had kebab’s all over the world. The mixed doner and chips honestly with the chilli sauce is ten out of ten I travel from south London for this I’m a gym guy but this is honestly too nice

We were ordering takeout and were greeted with annoyed customer servicer. I tried to ask What is inside the food and with eyerolls i got the answer. The food was so spicy it was hard to eat and when I asked about the sauces in the wrap I didnt get told it would have some really spicy sauce. Not happy at all for 20£

It's been a while since I had a donor from this shop it's decent,not bad the customer service is quick and efficient they are very welcoming and the food is also good, hundred percent recommended for a quick meal we had the empire burger meal which is very filling the burger is juicy and the chips was crispy and nice 👍.

Food is tasty and fresh, their service is SLOW I ordered the box meal quality was good 👍 I would have given 5 star due to slow service 4.

Excellent, tasty, clean food with consistent quality. Been coming here for a number of years for ottoman/Turkish style food. Empire burger, buttermilk chicken burger are a must try.

Really enjoy their spicy Algerian burger, great sauce and juicy fried chicken burger. Also like the mixed doner with chips, not dry with the sauce and quite large portion.

I'm a big fan of kebabs. I have tried many. This is certainly one of the best. 7 GBP for a lamb kebab is a very good price for London. Will definitely go back.

The food was so dry the chips weren’t even cooked properly and was soiled chillie sauce not just that I have been sick for 4 days and had Diarrhoea I has a rash on my anas now I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone you really need to fix up your food to customers liking never again would I eat from here not even for free

Today i was there with my wife. Just i want to say best doner i have ever had. It was very soft and fresh. Also large portions. That burger was also very amazing. We have to go there again.

We ordered the lamb doner with fries and drink followed by their original milk cake. The meat in the wrap was exceptionally good and the milk cake was delightful. However, the restaurant takes cash only which was a problem for us. Eventually they asked us to transfer money instead.

This is disgusting food I and disgusting shop ottoman doner in poplar I bought 2 doner and meat they charged £24.75 they gave lots of chips both of boxes and few meat and food is very bad no toast it is disgusting I recommend not to go this shop

Customer service is very poor.Person serving on till using mobile phone (tik talk/Facebook). No hello or hi, They don't take card payment that's why I had to walk half mile to find cash point. Service need to be improved and they have to though about card payment to stay in competitive Restaurant business.

RE: Severe Food poisoning. It's such a shame as I was looking forward to Ottoman Donner, however that night after eating the food, it resulted in me having severe food poisoning. Everything I ate, I ended up vomiting out and had bad migraines, body pains and Diarrhoea. Had to take day off of work as it was really detrimental to my health and I was bed bound the whole day. I do advise management to look into this so the same issue does not happen to any other customers.

Ordered a mix doner box with fries and extra meat, a double cheeseburger and an Oreo milkshake. The doner was flavourful, not your dirty greasy doner. The chicken doner had good flavour and had a smokey taste which was enjoyable. The meat doner was was thinly sliced and not greasy at the. The salad and sauce (garlic and chilli sauce) went well together. However the extra meat that I paid for didn’t exist. Not the first time eating from here so have a good idea on portion size for standard meal size. 4 out of 5. The double cheeseburger is exactly what it is. Basic good quality beef patties and ketchup. 5 out of 5 The milkshake was absolutely horrible. One to be avoided. The lack of diary used was unfortunately compensated by the large quantity of blended ice. Not good enough to even have a rating. Customer service was 1 out of 5 due to it being cash only. They accept Uber eats orders and not take card payment. Cash only makes it easy to wash dirty money and hide money from the taxman.

Stopped by for a smokey burger. It was very nice. Much better then .mc d. Service was excellent.

They just take cash that is illegal from the people that are not local. Really rude guy on the counter and such a bad customer service.

This place is unbelievable, the meat is lean the chicken is juicy, the flavour no other doner place can come near, way better then GDK, prices very reasonable, and portions very generous. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Also tried the burgers which was phenomenal.

Best Doner shop around won’t find anything else like it, always cut fresh and full of flavour no shortcuts are taken around here. Would recommend to visit 10/10

I really don't want to give them a star because I have ordered my food in advance they didn't give me the correct portion and they have missed my order when I called them to say you missed out a kebab they replied by saying that they have packed seven kebabs inside the bag how is that possible when I only ordered five.

Google reviews didnt dissapoint us, we had mixed doner with bread and empire burger and onion ring, cost £14.95. Meat is good, sauces are delish, and salad are fresh!

Update review! So 3 years later food still great as ever. Unfortunately I just can’t deal with their cash only policy. With so many branches dotted all around London not one can accommodate. Yes I know I can pull out cash, but it’s the inconvenience. Post Covid the whole world is going cashless yet ottoman seem to be straggling behind. Unless this changes soon unfortunately I won’t be going back anytime soon or if anyone brings it home for me. I can’t even order on ubereats as I live to far out. My few quid won’t effect there business but its needs to be addressed. Of all the burger joints popping up everywhere, for me the best has to be The Ottoman Doner London. Excellent service from the brothers. Burger was delicious loved every bite of bite.

Genuinely, this is without doubt the best Kebab myself and my housemates have ever had. With a specific focus on the lack of grease and the quality of the crispy chicken you cannot go wrong. If you’re reading this and considering your options, you should not even bother contemplating and just order. Ottoman, if you’re reading this, you’re smashing it.

I drove 40 mins to get to the place and it's cash only. Aarrgghhh. I had no cash and I couldn't locate ATM close by so left without food and very disappointed.

ordered from Uber Eats. While I was tracking my order, noticed driver must to stop by Sainsbury’s for good 5 min, so my food came lukewarm. Burger was tasty as always, but cheese bites and mozzarella sticks COMPLETELY flavourless. I ordered extra dip just in case but it didn’t help. Also dip was very much bland.

Terrible service! Didn't receive half of the order paid for, called the restaurant and they promised to send the missing items. Waited half an hour and called again, told it was being prepared for delivery. Another 20 minute wait and called again, this time they couldn't find a delivery person. Couple of more wasted calls, then went to collect in person. On arrival, found gatherings of delivery mopeds/bikes etc collecting orders. It was clear they couldn't be bothered and were just giving out excuses until I collected the order or just gave up. The food was stone cold when I returned home, clearly had been sitting there from when the first half had left the restaurant hours ago.

Donner kebab was decent but still very greasy, sauces bland as hell, chilli sauce tasted like blended tomatoes and carrots no heat at all. Portions could be bigger for the price. Donner kebab was luke warm even though I live less than half a mile away.

We ordered the donner and burger over the weekend and i must say the donner was really tasty and this is what we usually have but this time we ordered the burger and i must say the burger was even more delicious! Probably one of the best i have had in a loooong time! We will defo be ordering again! Well done!

No salad with the doner, how disappointing. Uber eats menu includes the option to tick if you want salad yet none came. Salad should come as standard with a kebab and I’ve never known a place not to provide salad - even the cheap ones! Wow, what a huge disappointment. Had I known that it would come without salad, I wouldn’t have ordered. Rip off. Personally, I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Food was cold... this is not the 1st time it has been cold. Lastnight I ordered after 2 month since my last order was cold, thought give it a go again and I'm sure it was just a one off. Nope. It was cold again. I got a butter chicken burger meal for my wife and when she complained, I took a bit. The burger was frozen inside like ice but outside was cooked. It was not fresh as you can see it was cold frozen inside and chips was so less like worse then a kids meal chips. Standard is gone for this place. Sorry won't go back again.
