The Pack Horse Inn in South Hams

A very warm and welcoming cafe with a very comprehensive menu, located close to the station, town centre etc I’ve often passed and noticed how busy it always seems to be and it was the same on the day that I visited. The food is piping hot, very tasty and arrives quickly. Good prices. There’s plenty of room for pushchairs etc.

We had the most delicious meal from the set menu. The starters were especially phenomenal, super tasty and such high quality ingredients. The loveliest Christmas celebration, amazing service too; thank you Amalfi Restaurant!

Wonderful seafood served with a smile and then a walk along the Dart. How wonderful.

Excellent curries with great vegetarian and vegan options, they just can’t fit it all on the menu so just ask for what you want! The Thabi was outstanding and somehow the smoke alarms didn’t go off. Will be back soon.

We went to stay the first time for Christmas which was excellent.The staff were incredibly welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us.As they claim they are very dog friendly.There are wicker baskets at the door with clean dog towels and one to put your dirty towels in.Even Santa Paws visited the dogs on Christmas day.The food was of a good standard and the chef Jonathan was delightful although I think the wine list should be expanded to include countries other than French as its very limited at the moment.Sufficient to say we have booked again for next year
