Had a lovely dinner here. It’s an old fashioned style pub with friendly staff who made us welcome. Delicious food. Nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend. Booking required Friday and weekend.

Just had a lovely meal in this establishment. Karen and the staff were attentive and the food was delicious. It was our first visit and we would highly recommend it.

Met friends for a birthday celebration and gad a superb meal the Duck I had was just delicious followed by sticky toffee pudding yum yum.

Fabulous birthday lunch at The Perth Arms. We had the French onion soup (the best we’ve ever had!) and tasty Garlic and Parmesan Chicken wings to start, followed by a delicious Venison croquette with Wild garlic butter and a rib eye steak with Potato Hash and a fried egg. Great pub with fabulous food and friendly staff - the Best pub in Dunkeld by far.

OK folks! Lets be honest, it may need a lick of paint in places, some staff my be a bit droll, it may not have the finest food, but please find me any restaurant in the world that may not fit this description? That being said, we had one of the best evenings out here in a long time! The place was rammed, the atmosphere fantastic, the locals were friendly, welcoming and great to talk to. As for the staff we found them polite, funny, helpful and attentive. If you had a problem with any of them it was more than likely of your own making! Yes I did ask about the gin glasses and was told one would be available if required. An extensive selection of other glasses is also available by the way, all expertly matched to you drink. The food was great, a real plate full, nicely cooked, hot tasty and well presented. None of our group had any issues with the food at all. As for value for money? What we ate was well worth what we paid for it, the bar prices were also more than reasonable. I would highly recommend eating or having a drink at The Perth Arms. As I said, we had a great evening here, thanks to all of you for making it so memorable.

Lovely food and staff. We had the steak pie which was delicious and a cheese board for dessert. The locals who use this bar were very friendly. The have a lovely log burning fire which was great since there was no heating in our own hotel (The Royal Dunkeld). The owner happily put more logs on the fire when she realised most of the visitors had came from the Royal and were freezing.

After being told about this being a wonderful place to go we thought we'd try for drinks and if it was good we'd go back another time for food.. was told you'd ha to book. Well definitely won't be back. I've never met such a rude barmaid. Very unwelcoming.. no chat.. one word answers. Didnt even bother providing a gin glass for my drink.. obviously too much bother. Wish we had about turned and said just leave it. Later that night, speaking to other people at nearby hotel, they had come up against this rude female and they literally left. You sound like you're loosing a number of customers with a long term barmaid who cannot be bothered to deal with patrons.

We visited the Perth Arms last January for Sunday lunch on our visit to Dunkeld ( we go here every January ) it was amazing , so booked it again last Sunday on our annual visit, the roast was actually a slow braised lamb flank and goat roulade , this came with a creamy mash potato, swede puree, tender stem broccoli , roast potatoes, yorkies and a fantastic lamb and mint jus, simply amazing food quality, the service was fabulous with happy staff and and a great landlady or owner as was the local company . We wil be booking again this week to try the normal menu and looking forward to it .

We were staying at The Dunkeld House Hotel over the Christmas period but decided we didn't want to pay £22.75 for fish and chips on 23rd December as we had just arrived. Just wanted good honest pub grub for the first night. And that is exactly what we got at The Perth Arms. Excellent value and food with friendly staff. Definitely would recommend. 😊👍

This place is a real hidden gem! We booked to eat here while staying in Dunkeld for the night, and it’s definitely one of the best meals my girlfriend and I have had in a long time. I can see why this place is so popular with the locals, as the food is outstanding! The wine was good too.

I thought the food was really good. I am quite a plain eater the steak pie was great. Proper steak pie not that silly bit of pastry on top at the last minute. We shared mussels and chicken wings to start both really good. The beer was good and staff and locals very friendly.

This place is a must if anywhere near or even worth travelling for the staff are so welcoming the ambiance is great and the food is fantastic the gem of perthshire.

Went here as dog friendly and stopping on local campsite 15 mins walk away - food was fine as were drinks. Good value. Locals nice enough. Pub and toilets just need a bit of money spending on them and a good deep clean to be fair !

If you are passing by or staying in Dunkeld please choose The Perth Arms as the place to eat. We popped in at lunch time for a drink and quickly noticed people in for food . Decided to try it on our second night and was so glad we did . Karen and her team were very welcoming, very busy for a Tuesday night but we were offered a quiet space in the lounge. The food was amazing . We ordered the venison and fish and chips . Chef Scott delivered some great tasting food piping hot and full of flavour. Very impressed indeed ! Nice choice of wines too. Don’t pass this place by . Cheaper and much better quality than other local places serving food. We will definitely choose The Perth Arms on our return to Dunkeld . This is a proper pub. It's unpretentious with a great cosy, welcoming atmosphere. The food here is delicious. The chef has a menu which is considered. There are "standard" choices such as steak pie, fish and chips etc but also things like venison fillet with horseradish mash, so something to suit everyone. I had the steak pie (with homemade chips - wow) which was delicious. An absolute must when in Dunkeld - you should book as it is very popular!

Have been honoured to visit the Perth Arms for any years, as recently as last week. Had dinner on 2 nights. Venison starter and Guinea Fowl main both invented by the chef who is owners son. Other half had chicken burger and steak pie over 2 nights. Very, very dog friendly, our lab gets tteats and cuddles all the time. You will need to book on most evenings, so don't be surprised to be laughed at if you come in off the bat. No messing with Karen, Ewan, Whinny, Shaun, Lois and rest of team. You will get respect if you give it!! Also, great jukebox with a mix of favourites.

We have visited this pub before and it never disappoints. There is always something new to try whilst the old favourites are still on the menu. It is busy and welcoming, service is quick and always comes with a smile. Good selection of ales; the local ale changes every week. Very dog friendly. My two pooches are always looked after. Make sure you drop by but always busy so book if you want to eat.

Brilliant Lunch! The one thing you have to remember when visiting Dunkeld is that it is DOG FRIENDLY!! It is the absolute utopia for dog owners. The Perth Arms is an amazing place to eat, wether it be lunch or dinner! Karen is an amazing host that has two German Shepherd ladies who are well behaved, can be a bit boisterous but if you are a dog owner, you can easily control them….they are well trained! We go to the Perth Arms, year after year and we have always felt welcome. If you don’t like dogs, then don’t go here…..though you will be missing out on terrific food! We will be there for the day tomorrow and looking forward to a terrific lunch!

As a family with dogs we have been coming here for at least twelve years. Every visit has been great and the food has always been amazing,we all love the steak pie. Always found it warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The Perth arms is our first stop on our visits, we normally holiday here three times a year and visit normally twice a day while we are there.We are booked again for November and can’t wait to see Karen and the team again
