First time at Porter Pizza and I was really impressed. They found us a table even though they were busy, the food came quickly, was reasonably priced and very yummy 😊 We'll definitely be back?

Went here on Thursday and what a fabulous experience! I had the Honeypie pizza served by a lovely member of staff, who I explained my dietary requirements to and was very accommodating. The dessert gelato was a perfect end to my meal! 10/10 across the board, highly recommend!

Went here with my other half on a Monday afternoon, and even then the atmosphere was pleasant. Best pizza around, really nice gelato too. The staff are brilliant and make the experience evermore joyous!!

my experience with Porter pizza has been nothing but spectacular the staff are calm and welcoming, happy to answer and cater to any questions you may have, the pizzas are a 10/10, the specials never fail to impress and the prices are extremely reasonable, Will definitely be a returning customer !

Visited on a busy Saturday while taking my son back to University. Please was busy but they managed to seat us after a short wait. Pizzas were delicious and staff very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return.

Incredible food at Porter Pizza, with delicious homemade gelato and tiramasu and amazing service. Was greeted at the door and shown to a table, looked after throughout the meal and waved goodbye. Don't forget to try the espresso martini and watch out for the cherry bakewell gelato - divine!!

10/10. Popped in here for pizza while visiting my daughter who’s studying at Sheffield Uni. Pizza was amazing and the owner was incredibly nice and welcoming. The homemade gelato is also excellent! 😋. Definitely worth a visit.

Best pizza in Sheffield, porter pizza never fails to impress unless they have sold out or you can't get a table but that's what you get when it's that good!! 10/10 service last time I visited from the owner / manager I presume. Would be great if you can book a table in advance but I don't mind waiting. Stay amazing porter. We love you.

Excellent pizzas - great staff, great atmosphere and great prices

The pizza was fresh and delicious but our starter of tomato garlic bread was burnt black completely on the bottom and tasted bitter.

Highly recommend. The food was great - we had Good Elf & Honey Pie pizzas & Burrata salads all delicious! Affogato with ameretto was great to finish. Good service & atmosphere.

Birthday treat. Pizza was fabulous and good choices. The Tiramisu was homemade and tasted amazing. Had a fabulous glass of great red wine. Good quality and value for money with a fantastic atmosphere 👌 The staff are amazing and very attentive. Will be going back soon.

Great pizza, good selection of veg and vegan options

This was the best meal i've ever had. I am not kidding. The pizza and gelato were better than the one i've had many times in Italy. The staff are AMAZING. The atmosphere is incredible. The Honey Pie pizza is genuinely the best thing i've ever eaten, and the gelato - somehow so light all the while being rich and lovely. This is my first google review, I could NOT leave without making sure other people know how great this place is. Just want to shoutout Anya - what gorgeous service she provided, kind, considerate, funny. She made us feel very looked after and took time to explain everything about the place, the family that run it, and the amazing food. I will ALWAYS come here when I am in Sheffield again. 5 stars are not enough.

Absolutely phenomenal, Porta pizza never disappoints with amazing staff who are such a joy to talk to and always recommend the best. and quality pizza (I haven’t come across a flavour I don’t enjoy) that is cooked to Neapolitan perfection and don’t get me started on the house made exquisite gelato made by the owners themselves with an incredible array of exciting and unique flavours. Porta pizza is truly my happy place and I would endlessly recommend.

1st visit to the larger premises - great atmosphere, superb service and of course the usual delicious pizzas. Highly recommended, well done to all the staff.

Best pizzas in Sheffield. Consistently delicious

First up, despite my 3* rating the food is AMAZING! I would say it’s up there, if not better than Rudy’s Pizza in the city centre. What let the visit down was the FOH staff. Our server hadn’t communicated that we asked him for our buratta to come as a starter before our pizzas, and as we were close to finishing a young lady brought our pizzas over and didn’t at all read the table (with us still eating) and just asked where she can put the pizzas 🤦🏻‍♂️. There was also no check back on our food, and a general feeling the staff were more focused on the table of 12 than the other 4-5 tables that were sat in. I suspect at the end, when paying that our server wasn’t too impressed that we selected the ‘no tip’ option on the PDQ machine, but a tip should always be earned and not expected. We will go back as the food was so good, but Porters, you really need to work on your service!

Love the new space, very warm and cosy with always lots of atmosphere and friendly service. Had the warm tomato and burrata salad for the first time tonight and it was AMAZING! Pizza is always great and they make their own gelato which is also delicious. 😍

Their pizza is really good and comparable to the quality of a good pizza in Italy. The prices are reasonable, and the service is straightforward, which is great. On my most recent visit, I decided to try their ice cream, and the quality was top-notch—on par with high-quality Italian gelato and better than any ice cream I’ve ever had in Sheffield.

Absolutely incredible from start to finish! The pizzas, cocktails and Gelatos are next level - all the staff were super friendly and helpful and we met the owner who talked us through all the Geltos that are made by himself and his wife! If you're visiting Sheffield this place should be at the top of your list - can't wait to come back!

Pizza from here is so incredible, the best pizza I’ve eaten hands down. Reasonably priced too, only issue I’ve had is sometimes the staff have ignored me for a while upon entry when collecting my pizza to go.

Burn pizza base, not once did staff come over to ask if ok with food. Explained issue to server when asking for bill. No offer made by server to call manager over Certainly won't be visiting here again.

It was sooooo goood! We had the chilli garlic bread (perfect amount of chilli), parmigiana pizza (tomato sauce was something else) and the mixed salad (vinaigrette was peng, and tasty fresh tomatoes). Then finished off with gelato! Honestly we’ve not enjoyed pizza that much before. Very good value. Highly recommend.

Best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had and the gelato was out of this world. Brilliant service, family friendly absolutely incredible food. I couldn’t rate this place highly enough.

The atmosphere was very nice, the staff however was giving us the feelings of being unsure if we're meant to go to them or for them to come to us when we need to order something or get the bill. The pizza dough was really good, however it was very burned on the crust, I should've taken pictures. Aperol Spritz was on point tho so bonus for that I guess😆 Maybe it was just unlucky for us🤷🏻

Really delicious and authentic pizzas. You can't book and the place seems very popular. Hood range of vegetarian pizzas and the gelato is to die for. I would recommend the pistachio.

First time I visited this pizza place and let me tell you there is no room for any negative critics! On the contrary everything is better than any pizza place I be been too and I love a good pizza! I felt compelled to write a review as the whole experience was awesome. First time I’ve been to the new restaurant version with some friends. The pizza - I had the marinara with anchovies which was delicious. Gelato - had tiramisu + hazelnut which was absolutely heavenly. Will definitely be back for both. The value for money is so good, it puts so many of the chain restaurants on ecclesall to absolute shame. Lively but laid back vibe, good music, efficient service. The staff are super friendly. Probably my new favourite haunt to bring friends + family visiting Sheffield. Thanks for a great experience :)

The ice cream is SO delicious, you can definitely taste the fresh good quality ingredients that they use. The flavors are amazing too, I had hazelnut flavor but I wanted to try them all. Well worth trying!

We had a great evening at porter pizza! We were served by Dave who was amazing! Conversation and was super easy which made a lovely night one to especially remember. Definitely worth a visit!

We've been enjoying the delicious pizza here all throughout the summer and it's always amazing. Members of staff are friendly and the service quick. The ice cream they make is superb and I can't praise it enough, but it appears that the serving size has been sliced by half in the past couple of weeks. Price for a scoop is a bit steep but I still felt like it was worth it.. until last week. The last two times I got really disappointed by the tiny portions I got for my money. Hope it was a couple of exceptions rather than a new policy.

At last proper Italian Gelato in Sheffield! Proper gelato is completely superior to ordinary ice cream but we haven't found it anywhere in Sheffield until now. We visited Porter Pizza today and can confirm that the gelato is excellent. Please go if you like gelato as you won't be disappointed.

Happened to be walking past and noticed they now do homemade gelato. We got a two scoop tub and were really impressed. Excellent choice of flavours and very good quality gelato, we will be back to try more flavours!! Edit: returned to try again, flavours still delicious but they seem to have reduced the scoop sizes considerably which makes it very expensive for what you get. Disappointed this time unfortunately.

We were up from London staying the night in a pub on the edge of town and they had a big event on so, we thought we try our luck getting a pizza somewhere nearby - I had no idea it would be this good! It was like a cool London spot but the food was better/cheaper and the staff were much nicer. We got a walk in straight away luckily on a Saturday night and had 2 great pizzas, some cocktails and wines. Really great quality, speedy, friendly and a nice buzzy atmosphere. Very impressed. I googled ‘is Sheffield cool’ on the way home and it turns out it is!

We asked for primitivo wine on the menu. The waiter opened a bottle of negroamaro and placed it on our table. When we asked why we were served Negroamaro instead of Primitivo, she said that it was ok they were the same. After us explaining that both wines are not the same, she mentioned that apparently they didn't have Primitivo (this perce is not a problem) she could have said that when we originally asked. The waiter instead of explaining that they only have negroamaro and if we would like that instead, thought it was ok to convince us the negroamaro was "the same" clearly someone that don't know about wine at all (again still not the problem, ignorance is forbidden when you just said I don't know) but she tried to convince us that the wines were the same. I hope you understand the issue and our annoyance.

I've always recommended this place for its decent pizza, but recently, both for dine-in and takeaway, the staff have been quite rude. The pizza is still great, so I'd continue to recommend it, but the attitude needs improvement, it's not enjoyable to spend money here when treated poorly.

Great pizzas, fast service and friendly staff. Not that many tables, but quick turnover means you can get a seat even when they're busy. Pizzas have a lovely thin base with puffy sides and delicious toppings. Also, the house salad was amazing - lots of olives, cherry tomatoes and lambs leaf. Highly recommended if you like pizza and want a quick meal.

Our pizzas were incredible! Went for a margherita and a “honey pie” and they both had the most fluffy and delicious crust, and great char. We did have to wait for 25 min but it was honestly so worth it. I’ve had many Neapolitan pizzas and this was one of the best- the tomato and crust being particularly great. The pepperoni, goats cheese and honey on the honey pie were all faultless too.

Consistently some of the best pizza in Sheffield. Used to be a small place with a couple long benches for seating, now since moved into a bigger building with many tables. I’ve often found there’s no need to book for a small group as the table turnaround is quick. They now have homemade gelato, too. Good options for veggies and vegans, all pizzas a great price considering the amazing quality and quick service. Lovely fresh flavours on the margherita and a perfect, thin base. Nice range of both alcoholic and soft drinks. Staff are wonderful, never had a bad experience. I recommend this place to everyone, I can’t get enough of it!

Pizzas unbeatable, some nice cocktail options and delicious desserts. The gelato is great too. I would say the service needs improvement though. Plates cleared before everyones finished gives a feeling of 'hurry up', passing dishes over people isn't great, and drinks slow to turn up.

The best thing in the restaurant is the pizza and salad, and they are nice to deal with. They prepare the pizza in front of you and the price is reasonable. We took Margaret's pizza, a salad plate, and a Coke, and the bill is 15 pounds.

It is disappointing that they won’t let you come and order special pizza for take away. We have kids and wont ever be able to come to enjoy the pizza uninterupted and we are bored of the same pizzas. Shame

Unfortunately our latest visit to collect pizza was poor, usually great I must add. 3x burnt pizzas out of 3x ordered when we arrived home and opened the boxes see pics below, tried to eat but just tasted of charcoal ie burt. Booked collection time and stood 20 minutes over that time waiting.

Very authentic pizza and atmosphere. Genuinely felt like the real thing. Given how busy it was I thought the staff were doing a brilliant job. All in all 5 stars from me!

Porter pizza is the best pizza in Sheffield. Whenever I come in to order, it’s ready within a max of 15 minutes and always made fresh. The service has always been very friendly, even when it’s really busy and prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Me and my partner both agree that the pizza compares closely to that of authentic Italian pizzerias in Italy that we visited last summer. It’s great they now have a bigger unit with more space for seating too and I can’t wait to try the gelato soon!

Have loved Porter Pizza for ages but had two bad experiences on the trot with the service. While in store the man taking orders barked at my group to not use the toilet as we were walk in customers and were ‘ruining the atmosphere for the people already sat’ this was after paying for 4 pizzas already. The other was ordering pizzas online not told how long they would be until after we had ordered when it came up that it would be 2 hours - I accept that it’s busy and that’s fine but no option to cancel online several phone calls with nobody answering meant a 20 min drive to cancel where I was told oh if you sit down we will serve you in 10 mins we just don’t prioritise online orders. Then why offer it!!! Attitude of staff on the till is shocking have loved this place for ages pizza amazing but maybe they can’t cope with the expansion. Not sure why of you don’t sit at a table you are treated like a second class citizen especially as you pay the same amount of money for take away

Our go-to place for a delicious, quick and casual dinner. Great vibes, and you can tell how passionate these guys are about their food. We haven't lived in Sheffield very long, but my partner and I have eaten here more times than we can possibly count!!

Feels like the go from quality to quantity. ... pizza is not that good anymore, I was sitting outside and I've been given pizza in the carbon box, and they run out of the chilli oil. From a really great, cool atmosphere pizza place.become to be just a pizza place.

Really poor service skills. Stood in front of the counter for 15 mins only to be told that no more orders were being accepted because it was now 21:01. She could have told me that initially instead of making me wait all that time without even acknowledging me. Rude.

Pizza and Garlic bread were excellent. One of the best pizzas we ever had. The local is small and very busy but food compensated that.

Poor information on the web site. Love the pizza's but very poor communication. Apparently Instagram is the favoured method. It should be clear. Also I used Google Pay and it was not clear that there was no delivery service.

The absolute BEST gluten free vegan pizza we've had. We always make a point of coming to Porter Pizza when we're in Sheffield because we love it so much. They've also just moved into a new bigger place which has more seating, toilets and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Great pizza but they need to manage the queue better. Just a gaggle of people stood in the doorway. No idea of who's waiting for tables or collecting or how long etc. We waited in line for 20 minutes ... To be told they've no tables for 2 hours.
