Lovely, friendly pub with a nice ,warm roaring fire and a great pint. In my humble opinion the best pub on the Headland…..but then again I am the owner!!! 🙄😂😂😂

Great place.. fabulous views. Just had Sunday lunch, really nice, well cooked and the staff were excellent.. very friendly.

Quirky little corner pub. Full of old blokes with flat caps drinking brown beer. Just how old pubs used to be. Friendly too.

Only called in for a drink before heading off. Nice pub and very friendly.

Visited for the first time to watch and support a new young local band Crescent . Will visit again as it seems the place to be locally for intimate csets by new upcoming bands

It seems to be a nice place to visit. Very popular among locals. Today is Thursday and I've seen many people there. If you come through the road, you'll find beautiful view, especially at evening time

Great watering hole lots of trendy beverages. We had a couple of drinks here over a few days. Great range of snacks and bar staff were very helpful.

Not sure if this place has changed hands recently but a Saturday visit at 6pm didn't match the reviews I had heard about. No food to be had except cake from the bar and the barmaids seem far more concerned with their other halves in the bar that seemed to be a vape and TV room. The pager was alright though so that's something but there are other better options within a 5min walk so treat yourself to those.

You can get a hot or cold drink sit on bench and look at the view of sea and land

Nice cosy drink on a very cold day! Pub was first opened in 1847 and has some very unique features. Well worth a visit.

Stopped for a quick pint. Sat outside and drank my beer out of a plastic cup. Apparently not permitted to drink out of glass glasses if sitting at the tables near the road. Not the best view in the world. Bar lady was nice enough. But the l8cal clientel made this mire of a three star pub than a 4 or a 5.

Historic local pub on the stunning Hartlepool Headland. Good beer and food available. Statue of comic creation Andy Cape situated outside in honour of creator Reg Smythe. Stunning views of Tees Bay are not to be missed.

Always love the pot house but I popped in today for a pint and sadly there stopped selling strong arm💪 this I very sad news for me as personally for me I thought it was the best pint over the head land it use to have the biggest head on the pint ive ever had like a yorkshire pudding.

Called here whilst walking by and ordered drinks and cakes,more staff than customers but service ok but i thought was overpriced ,tea £2.50 etc.was ok that was all ,takeaway not much choice or didn’t see full menu ,ate and drank at nearby gardens.

Pleasant surprise it was open as a coffee take away during lock down. After a walk along the front my son enjoyed his cake and I enjoyed a cup of coffee.

Doing their best and keeping customers old and new happy. Deserve to be successful. Queues long but fast moving for good take out. Building loyalty and we will be back for more next weekend.

Pot House what can I say one word brilliant staff outstanding welcome outstanding open fire wellcoming Seaviews Well kept beers if you like nostalgia it's like stepping back in time 1800s come to mind warms your heart so if you are visiting the headland - hartlepool don't miss out.

Big family at the Wintertide and we just wanted a sit down for the seniors and teas. We were let down by a local attraction so stopped here. We didn’t really want a pub but the welcome was very warm and festive. Massive thanks to everyone who juggled around so we could all sit. In the end I was glad of a decent pint.

We were visiting the area over the weekend and my husband fancied a pint. This pub is right on the front so the view is great. There were very friendly bar staff and we had a good laugh with the locals. They had a good range of beers, lager and soft drinks for teenagers.

Nice venue. Lovely beer, extremely friendly and helpful staff, really friendly locals too. Made us feel very welcome. My group played there last night and loads of the locals came to see us. They were as warm and welcoming as the staff. I highly recommend this pub.

We have eaten here before and enjoyed it but when we were here a couple of years ago it was closed. So we were delighted to find that it had reopened when were in old Hartlepool yesterday and we had a delicious fish and chips lunch. Superb fish excellently cooked with light crispy batter and hand cut chips - yummy! And of course the view over the harbour was great too. It's a hidden gem!

Took mam and my niece for a late lunch. 2 of us had fish, chips and mushy peas, mam had a ham sandwich which was full of fresh carved ham. None of us finished it all but enjoyed every single mouthful. We had a window seat looking out over the North Sea. The staff where so friendly and helpful, getting my niece felt tips and chatting to us all. A must visit

It's a lovely friendly pub. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We have 2 Jack Russells. And the landlady gives them treats and water. And people who drink their are happy and friendly to us. When you walk in their start talking to you. Will be definitely going back.

Nice to see that the warm welcome was still very much in evidence when we had a pub crawl in the area. A pity no cask ales are served - just keg beer

No real ale but good location overlooking the old pier. Not sure why they have changed the name though. Takes the fun out of it

Good old traditional pub with roaring log fire, dog friendly.

Being a bank holuday, weather not so good but not wanting to be stuck indoors, we decided to give this place a try. They had just statted at the weekend serving food so didnt know what to expect. Met by very friendly staff who couldnt do enough for us. The food was served quickly and a great choice of meats. Loads on the plate...well worth the walk there and back...

We were out in a bike ride and popped in for a Guinness and cider which were spot on. Sat out side of a very friendly and pleasant traditional pub, with great beer and pleasant bar staff I reccomend this place.
