It doesn’t take much to get musicians to drink at the Queens Arms (or ‘the 9s, as it’s known) and I can honestly say that the food I’ve eaten here over the last two days has been fantastic. Incredibly quick service and lovely food. I’m so glad an enduring muso favourite is still giving great service.

Very disappointing. A prawn linguine was tasteless except for chilli which has no place in an Italian dish. Fish and chips were overcooked and, again, tasteless. The pub should get a cook who knows how to cook or stop claiming to be a restaurant.

Came here dinner and drinks prior to the proms at the Royal Albert Hall. Service was efficient and the staff were friendly. The menu is straightforward featuring most of the pub classics you would expect to find including the fish and chips which I thought was delicious. As a likely consequence of the close proximity to the Royal Albert Hall the pub was very busy which I personally enjoyed as I thought it added to the atmosphere though I perhaps would consider going elsewhere if I wanted a quiet drink.

The pub its self was extremely crowded and very loud. It was very hard to move around or go to the toilet easily. I doubt anyone could get table without booking. The menu was OK but sadly there were a few items unavailable. The starter of scallops was very nice, fish and chips were fine the chocolate brownie was also nice. The service was difficult given how crowded the pub was hence the delay in serving. It’s very popular if there is an event at to Royal Albert Hall so beware.

We booked here for food and drink ahead of a show at the RAH - the beer was fab, but at £7+ a pint I thought was ridiculously expensive. We chose The Queen's Arms for our dinner venue prior to going to watch the Cirque du Soleil Luzia at The Royal Albert Hall. This place was heaving by 5pm and almost no room to move by the bar area! However, thankfully we had made a reservation so seating was not a concern. The menu was quite well presented with a good choice of meals on offer from starters to mains to desserts. The cod and chips was cooked just right and was very tasty indeed. Portion sizes were good overall with no complaints there. We were quite a sizeable group of 10 but this challenge was well managed by the waiting staff without a hint of stress! All in all a highly enjoyable time had by all and fair value for money.

Such a disappointment after reading all those good reviews... dated, old and tired pub, not really well maintained and cleaned. Food was average, quite pricey although piping hot. Service- terrible. I know that in small pubs if you order at the bar, you don’t really do table service, but checking back on customer’s food wouldn’t really hurt anyone... Standing and eating at the bar while you working is bad and definitely you shouldn’t do it in the front of customers. Licking your fingers after and not washing your hands is againts health and safety and it’s just disgusting!Overall very bad experience, avoid at any cost.

I lived on the Queens Gate Mews 40 years ago and the Queen's Arms Pub was the "local". While in London for business recently, I joined a friend for lunch at the Queen's Arms and what a difference 40 years makes! No longer a "pub" but now a fantastic, relaxed atmosphere and great service from a super-friendly staff not afraid to poke fun at one another for who was "around" 40 years ago when I mentioned the circumstances for my visit. Food (fish and chips) was exceptional and a great way to spend an afternoon. One side note, it was (and presumably still is) the closest pub to the already mentioned Royal Albert Hall - back in the old days it was always a treat to see the musicians stop by, both pre and post concert, in their performance suits!

I booked this place as it was very close to the Royal Albert Hall and we were visiting for a matinee performance - this meant that smart jeans/shirt were more acceptable and this was perfectly fitting for this place as its down to earth. Its tucked away from the main million pound mansions/rolls royce roads and I believe its the road that "Layer Cake" was filmed on which is pretty cool. We booked an early slot for lunch and wondered whether we should have bothered as it was empty when we arrived - glad we did as within 20 minutes the place was rammed and buzzing - this is definitely an eating pub (no where to stand around and have a drink) and the food was great. Bar staff were very friendly too and price was decent for London and certainly for this area of London. Only "negative" (not really a negative to be honest) is that the Sour Dough took starter took 45 minutes to arrive after ordering - but as it was fresh from the oven and we weren't too bothered as i had left plenty of time before the performance.

The is a really okay nice Pub. It's not a 5* super flash place, no it's a London / British pub. But it really is good. You order your food at the bar area, and your pint and sit back in one of the old leather arm chairs and enjoy the ambiance. It's hidden in a South Kensington discreet little Billionaires Mews but only a stones throw, ok 10 mins slow walk from the National History Museum, if you could exit onto Queens Gate it would be half the time. Yet the service is good, the atmosphere is really nice and genuine and the prices are fare, well really good especially for SW7. So yes it's not a 5* grade restaurant a nice cosy pub, a stone throw almost from one the greatest museums on earth with the Royal Albert Hall 15 mins walk further up Queens Gate and a nice bit of exercise to walk off your dinner is Hyde Park and all it has. Just too good a place, really don't want to post this as almost don't want it to become mega famous and loose it 'quaint' London Pub atmosphere.

We'd been recommended this place by a friend as we were only in London for the day as we were attending a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. It was a great call. We didn't book but were lucky enough to get a table straight away on a busy Friday afternoon. The service was second to none and quick and the food was absolutely gorgeous with generous portions as well as being reasonably priced. The drinks were also priced well and on what was one of the hottest and most humid days the ice cold cider was most certainly hitting the spot. My only regret is that we couldn't have stayed a bit longer but we will be back the next time we head down from Scotland

We were looking for somewhere to eat and drink before attempting a concert at the Albert Hall. This pub is just a short walk in a quiet mews behind some very inpresive embassy builders. It was busy and we just managed to get a table.so may be advisable to reserve a table? Food was excellent and plentiful. Drinks price good for London. And staff very friendly. Will definitely be visiting again!!

Had dinner there on a Sunday evening, got the Lamb roast ( Sunday only menu) with potatoes, etc. Excellent, was delish, Great neighborhood atmosphere, was crowded, so definitely popular with the locals. Wait staff was fine, but a bit slow, need to be patient here.

Visited here for drinks and dinner before heading off to the Royal Albert Hall. It was just a stones throw away from our hotel, the Queens Gate so is in a good location for both of these. Pub is only small and was busy but we managed to get a table and the food we ordered was excellent, as were the drinks. Would recommend.

What a great find !! booked a table for dinner prior to concert at Royal Albert Hall. Tucked away in Queens Gate Mews, really friendly staff, great food would definately recommend it. We went on a Tuesday evening (5:30) & it was heaving, so do book a table if you want to eat. Very short walk to RAH and easy to park in Hyde Park

We made a reservation in conjunction with a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. We arrived to find out that they had no record of our reservation even 5hough we showed them the email confirmation on my phone. They sat us stipulating that we had limited time because the had reservations (just not ours). Then we were informed that they were out of three of their most desirable menu items (at 5 pm). So we left.

Pubs are SUPPOSED to be fun and rowdy, aren't they? We were looking for a lively evening, and we found it at The Queen's Arms. Good fish and chips, good sausage and mash, lots of beer choices made for a fine experience. We came back the next night.

A definite must for fans of real ale this pub is hidden in a quiet street near the Natural History Museum. Service is very good and polite. The food which I’d describe as good pub grub is excellent and above par. Great selection of ales - spend time reviewing before selecting is the advice!

Great location for a meal, Albert Hall just round the corner. Would recommend reserving a table as it gets very busy in the early evening. Interesting menu, steak and cheese pie was really nice and accompanying mashed potatoes were delicious, drinks were reasonably priced too.

Pub in un quartiere elegante. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Hamburger e insalate ottimi.

No te molestes. Ahorra tu dinero.

Visited this place alongwith family and lived the place. We ordered for Victorian sponge cakes, black coffee and Vegan Oat cookies. Believe me, the sponge cake was splendid and had never tasted such beautiful sponge cake before. A must visit place for food lovers
