We came here with family for lunch , was absolutely amazing experience, from welcoming hello to see you later! Clean and very authentic Greek place. Our server Laura was fantastic, she explained all the menu and give us good recommendations, we really enjoyed chicken skewer and cheesecake We definitely gonna come back.

After an exhausting day exploring Galleries, Exhibitions and shopping we checked it was OK to book and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was a strong reminder of Greek holidays and the service was excellent. Laura was especially good, friendly, smiling and professional. The moussaka was superb, so was the aubergine dish. Wine and beer again transported us back to warm brilliant Greek Islands where the food is so good. We are seniors and we really loved our meal and experience in The Real Greek in Berwick Street. Thank you chefs who work so hard and all the staff. Thanks to Lorna for treating us so well.

Really nice Greek lunch place. Souvlaki style with tsatsiki and fresh red cherry tomatoes and bread and rice. And the refreshing lemon juice beautifully served in a big glass with ice and mint leaves was exactly what we needed after a visit to British Museum. Thanks to the nice service staff for recommending that (hi Babu). And the price is so low that it competes with the food stands on neighboring streets!

What a dreadful dissapointment this place was. The food was far below mediocre, half of it was cold when it was arrived which they removed from the bill in the end. The lamb meatballs were so tough and overcooked I felt sick all night after it. They are woefully understaffed for such a busy place. They staff are nice but there are just not enough people working. Truly dissapointing and a waste of a meal. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

The food was of poor quality - generally tasteless, badly prepped (gristly lamb skewer) and/or badly cooked/reheated (eg falafel), particularly for the cost which was over £30/head without any booze! Even the loukoumi was dry and tasteless - hard to imagine how you can mess that up. Cannot believe some of the positive reviews here - were they eating at the same restaurant? Peeling wallpaper and rain pouring through one of the lights in the ceiling added to the general downmarket air.

Greek only by name...probably the worst Gteek food I ever had... Precooked and nothing reminds Greek spices or taste..

Small place. I recommend booking, if you don't book you risk waiting 15 minutes or more for a table. Friendly and helpful staff, sometimes slow due to the full place. Often noisy. Presence of some small tables also outside the restaurant on the roadside. Excellent food Recommended for people who love eating Greek

Really diappointed by the abysmal experience my family and I had this afternoon at the Real Greek in Soho. My husband and two young children (5 and 3) and I visit London once a year at Christmas time. We always research what restaurant to eat at, making the most of the Christmas deals. After much deliberation, we chose The Real Greek this year, as they were running a Kids Eat Free deal. We read the terms and conditions carefully in advance. At the restaurant, we were quickly seated. The waiter mentioned the kids' eat free deal and we said we would be using that. We knew from having read the Ts and Cs that each adult had to pay £10 minimum in order to get a free kids' meal, so we decided yo get a slouvaki wrap each, which came to £9 each, but also add tzatziki and flatbread as a side, to ensure we abided with the £10 minimum spend per adult requirement. The meals took a while to arrive. My sons' meals arrived first, and it was quite a while until my husband's and my meal arrived. In fact, a waiter came over, having noticed my sons were half way through their meals and we were sitting there with nothing, and said he would follow up. I thought it was odd that they hadn't at least brought out the tzatziki and flatbread, as that surely would have made sense. The table next to us, who had arrived after us, got their meals before we got ours. Still, we patiently waited. Eventually, our wraps arrived. Not the tzatziki and flatbread though. My husband and I started eating our wraps (which were tasty but mine was a bit dry - ironically it could have done with more tzatziki!). I tried to catch a waiter's eye, as I was confused as to why our tzatziki and flatbread still hadn't arrived. I managed to flag a waiter down when we were half way through our meal. We explained nobody had brought out our tzatziki and flatbread yet, and he apologised and said he'd follow it up. This took ages and we all finished our meals in that time. Then, when we were all sitting there having finished our meals, the waiter finally brought out our missing tzatziki and flatbread. I explained that we had finished our meals already, and had wanted it as a side, and that we were ready to go. He offered to remove it and to take it off the bill which I thought was fair. I pointed out, however, that we had ordered it to ensure that we were over the £10 minimum spend for the kids eat free deal, and asked if that would be an issue. He said that wasn't a problem and that he would ensure the deal still applied as it was their fault. So, we waited, for quite a while. Eventually he returned and said the manager could not do the kids eat free deal when we had not spent more than £10. I explained that we had ordered more than £10 of food each, and that it wasn't our fault that the restaurant had forgotten to serve it, which he himself had admitted! He said his manager just couldn't do it. He said I could buy the tzatziki and flatbread as a takeaway and eat it later. I said that was unacceptable - we had ordered it as part of our restaurant meal and did not want a takeaway (we were on a day trip around London so that would be very inconvenient to carry around anyway). I said I'd be happy to speak to the manager, but expected the offer to be upheld as the error was the restaurant's. It took ages for someone to come and talk to me. Eventually a woman came over (possibly the manager?). She said we had to spend £10 each to get the free kids' meals. I repeated that we had ordered around £15 of food each, but that the restaursnt messed up our order. She said she's sorry about that but the computer system won't let her do it. I said that's unacceptable, and rhe error is the restaurant's, not mine, and that they need to sort it. She said okay and walked off. Then yet ANOTHER person came over (possibly another manager?). I literally repeated the same thing again. He said he'd see if he could get the system to do it, and walked off to the tills. By then we had been waiting for more than 20 minutes. Finally, the man came over a bill and wordlessly handed it over. Thankfully they had removed the kids' meals and just charged us for the two slouvaki wraps we had had (£9 each). To be fair, they had removed the service charge. I paid the bill, and he wordlessly walked off. I also got a glare from the woman. I could not believe the animosity shown by them when it was their mistake. I have never received such terrible customer service before. It completely spoilt out meal. I hate confrontation, and felt really uncomfortable having to put the restaurant staff right on their error. I felt I was being treated as though I was to blame, when it was entirely their mistake and poor customer service that was the issue. Lots of people were watching and listening and it was actually really embarrasing. One lady on the table next to us leaned over and said 'you are absolutely right' which was nice, but I still left the restaurant shaking and upset. When we left the staff just silently watched us go, without a word. I was disgusted by the attitude shown to us. Errors happen - we all make mistakes. But restaurants usually own up to them and try to fix them, not try to charge the customer extra as a result of the staff's errors! We would definitely urge people to avoid this restaurant!

Visited the restaurant last week and it was a great experience! Im greek, so I can tell when the dishes lack of authenticity or look touristic! So, whatever we tasted was really good, I went 2 times during my stay in London so I tried different dishes everytime. What I really appreciated both times was the smiley staff they have and especially the Peruvian girl, Luana! She was very kind and helpful and really patient as we couldn’t decide fast and she made us feel really comfortable and welcome! Actually, she was the reason we came back, as she talked about some dishes that were worth trying, but we couldn’t order all in one time! Great place to be in London!
