The Resting Hare in Camden

It took us several attempts to find this place open which was disappointing as we were staying close by in August. .We eventually managed to have a drink before catching our train home .What a pity it is not open at weekends , very disappointing and we were did not have time for a pizza this time.

Very good selection of beers and lagers. At the time of my visit they had 14 different available. Prices very reasonable, service prompt and friendly.

Used to love this pub, not been for a while so paid it a visit. Was with a group of friend and one orders a Pimms. Well, the Irish guy who served us acted like I’d spit in his face! He was so clearly disgusted with the order, made us feel awkward. My friend ordered a different drink and we left soon after. Won’t be back. Note to staff: if you don’t like the order or don’t have the drink stocked, that’s fine. But don’t make your customers feel embarrassed.

A new find accidentally whilst walking past and seeing a sign for craft beer. Surprised at both the choice and quality. Well worth going to visit.

On a recent trip to London I found this pub next door to my hotel. Good beer selection, not too expensive for central London. Friendly bar staff and a great funk/soul playlist. I'm not ashamed to admit that I got completely steaming in this pub.

This is a really interesting and unique venue and also offers a fantastic range of unique drinks, all displayed on the blackboard complete with description. There’s a number of outdoor tables as well as standing areas inside, but when busy it can feel a little cramped. Toilets are downstairs and well maintained and there’s some nice articles on the wall worth reading and, given it’s off the main thoroughfare, a nice little find. I’ll be back!

This pub ticked several boxes for me - proper boozer with an authentic feel, not overly expensive, served Pizza and was literally next door to the hotel I was staying in. Friendly and efficient bar staff and DELICIOUS pizza!

To be fair, the bar makes a great deal of its beer selection but it shouldn't be difficult to supply a decent glass of white wine.

It’s my first visit at the bar and we all get together to celebrate friends birthday! A guy called Ali made a best shots for my friend and make him happy! Ali just a great gem to a place!

I came to the Resting Hare on an August weeknight and overall I was impressed with the pub. There is a great outside area and a good selection of beer at reasonable prices for the area. Service was quick and the pub is conveniently located near to both Euston and St. Pancras stations. Overall this is not a must visit but is an enjoyable pub to visit.

I was disappointed with my visit to the Resting Hare. I went whilst enjoying a pleasant stay at the nearby Royal National Hotel one of the sister hotels of the County Hotel. I didn't like the fact that 12.5% service was surreptitiously added to my order at the bar for my food and drink. I could not find that anywhere on the menu and I was only told about it when I queered the size of my bill compared to the cost of my meal, only then being offered a receipt. I would have thought that practice could well break the law. I thought the £4.40 charged for a pint of diet cola was outrageous, even for London. I was disappointed with my meal, a chicken caesar salad, in that the chicken appeared to have been precooked and then warmed up making it quite dry and rubbery. Otherwise the salad was fine and the ambience pleasant but the three matters above left me disillusioned with the overall experience.

We recently visited the Resting Hare during our recent trip to London. The restaurant is located on a great little street with surrounding shops and eateries. This is basically an elevated pub with extensive beer listings from all over the world. But the service was good and the lunch acceptable. A really nice place to stop for a drink and a bite while visiting this charming part of the city.

Have been here several times and always really good service. I've sampled their interesting cocktails before but this time I tried the bar food - pleasantly surprised at price and quality. Visited around 5.00 pm and bar area quite crowded but - despite this - served really quickly. Tom, the barman was particularly helpful, not just to me as a solo customer but also to a couple of ladies, one of whom was in a wheelchair. Very good atmosphere, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Pleasant and relatively quiet outside seating area.

Went in for a few pints. £4.60 for Bratburger, which I hadn't tried before. I hate London for the prices of beer but I have come to a conclusion that this is a good price. Especially for a lager which seemed on the premium end of the spectrum. Very nice. Got a bit peckish and ordered some of the chicken nuggets which were as good as chicken nuggets can probably get. Also tried some of my friend's Mac n Cheese Sticks. Muchos pengios. Would return hastily for more reasonably priced lager beers and bar snacks.
