The food and the service was amazing especially the service by Monu

First time here, I have to say the starters were very average. Good clean venue but not the best mix grill I’ve had around here.

Unfortunately the butter chicken was not prepared and presented the authentic way , the gravy was fine but instead of tandoori pieces Chicken style goujons were served There was no garnish of cream / coriander / julienne of ginger at all

It was an excellent experience I really enjoyed it and I recommend it staff are really good and services is good

A good solid option for Tikka food. No parking except on the surrounding streets and on a very busy road; but nicely done out with plenty if flare and character. Being a big open space it is a bit noisy when busy, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a popular place. Food was good, price was about what you would expect to pay these days, ~£15-20 a head but the food scales well if in a larger group. Portions were decent. Drinks are expensive, but that seems to be the norm now too with Tikka and Grill places. All in all not a bad choice for a decent meal in a good setting.

We recently had our company Xmas party at Royal Oak. The food was outstanding especially chilli chicken, lamb chops and all the nan breads and curries. Great informal atmosphere for catch-up with colleagues, friends or family.

Food was amazing and I've been to lots of bar n grills but food here was top notch... outside on the roads a bit dodgy but other than that it's a good place to eat. Lots of family's in there too and wasn't too loud

Visited the Royal Oak on Holyhead Road for a family meal on our friend Jas’s recommendation, and it exceeded all expectations! The food was absolutely incredible—the best Asian food we’ve had in all of the UK. The ambience was warm and inviting, with great hospitality and lots of smiling faces all around. We loved the vibe and would definitely come back again. If I could, I’d give it 6 stars out of 5. Highly recommend!

We ordered the food and Siri at the counter was super helpful as my niece has a nut allergy she was brilliant pointed out all the dishes that would be safe for her to eat. Siri even checked on us to make sure everything was ok. Thank you Siri for all your help 😊

The Royal Oak on Holyhead Road is an absolute gem! We went for a family meal on my brother Jas’s recommendation, along with him and his family, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was hands down the best Punjabi cuisine we’ve had in the UK—it genuinely felt like eating in Punjab! We started with the Veg Platter, Grill, Lamb Chops, and Chilly Chicken—each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The Paneer Tikka and Veg Manchurian were also to die for. For mains, the Dal Makhani paired with the perfectly soft and flavorful Garlic Naans was simply outstanding. To top it all off, the desserts—Gulab Jamun and Gajar Halwa—were the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. The vibes were just eccentric, with great hospitality and lots of smiling faces all around. We loved the warm and inviting atmosphere and can’t wait to come back again. If I could, I’d give it 10 stars out of 5. Highly recommend!

The food at the Royal Oak is top quality and great value for money, also has a great selection at the bar.

Clean up the place properly, sticky tables, dirty cutlery is not acceptable, Food is average, but contact surfaces are terrible, on a positive some staff are very professional and others have a bad attitude and have to be told several times what you require, not impressed, and won't be returning.

Stopped in for a drink and small meal. Had Chicken Jalfrezi, spring rolls, samosa, cheese naan and roti. All dishes were good, freshly cooked and very tasty. Kitchen staff were helpful and friendly.

Ordered Chicken TIKKA masala and it comes in a bland yellow curry with boneless thigh pieces full of fat asked the kitchen they said u have to tell the chef u want boneless breast urm hello Tilka is breast in tandoor not cooked not worth the visit and £70 later still hungry will never return completely disappointed in the food…. Akbars it is ! I would like some of my money back and next time I’m in that area I will take them a home cooked curry and show them how a curry shud really taste like !

Went before football game, limited menu as very busy. Food was great, bar busy but loads of servers so no issues. Have been before not on match day and food was good. Would recommend

This pub is really lovely! I always come here with my family, and everyone feels safe and enjoys the great atmosphere. The staff are fantastic and attentive, helping us from the moment we arrive until we leave. It really feels like a place where you want to stay because of the hospitality. The food is excellent, with authentic Indian, Indochinese, and some English dishes. I can confidently say they have some of the best chefs in the West Midlands and the UK!The vibes of desi culture really add to the experience, and having the Indian Bullet Motorbike and Tractor there must have brought back some lovely memories for your parents too! It feels like being right in the stadium watching the match with your friends. What a cool experience! That's awesome! It's great to hear that they have a private room for hire that can accommodate up to 100 people. That would be perfect for gatherings or celebrations with family and friends!Absolutely! Hats off to the management for creating such a wonderful atmosphere and experience. They really know how to make everyone feel welcome and enjoy their time there! 👏

The was a overweight guy taking videos and I was in the background of his (tiktok) video then when I approached him in the toilets he then proceeded to make funny hand gestures as if he don’t know while urinating in the toilet. He then proceeded after to sit with the owner of the pub

Lovely place to eat. I've visited twice for lunch with my partner and we've enjoyed everything we've ordered. We highly recommend the lamb chops and the tandoori prawns. Seasoned well and very tasty. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The waitress was assisting us on items on the menu. We will return again as we were pleased with this restaurant. Only downfall is there is no designated car park.

Fantastic food in a desi sports pub environment.

The Royal Oak in Handsworth, Birmingham (just before the wba ground) Lamb Rara, Chicken saag, masala chips, raita and roti to share - £29 This place is priced a little higher than most your Birmingham mixed grills but the curries are full of flavour and so well cooked! Would highly recommend for a curry as feel it is excellent value considering how tasty the food is. I would expect this more at a proper restaurant than a pub! #Rinviews #RineshRatings 9/10

Visited a day ago to the Royal Oak for a birthday celebration and dinner, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was lively and positive, perfect for the occasion. Riya, our server, truly stood out—she was warm, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. There was a wide range of veg and non veg food selection ,But Chefs recommendations for food and cheerful demeanor added a prefect spice to the celebration. The food was delicious, and the selection of drinks complemented the evening perfectly. Overall, it was a memorable birthday thanks to the wonderful team at the Royal Oak!

We love this place, food is always fantastic, everyone is always happy when eat here so we come regularly, so much so Amrik Paji has become a family friend. We had our daughters birthday celebrations in the Remy lounge, we had 65 friends and family attend. It was fantastic. The food was of the highest standard, everyone was happy, even the fussiest eaters ate well. Staff were attentive, the birthday girl enjoyed herself. What more could we ask for?!

I celebrated my birthday here on Sunday. We were a party of 12 and the service was so efficient and staff were really friendly! I tasted a few dishes including prawn masala, chilli fish and mushroom rice, which are were full of flavour with authentic taste! Delicious! We will definitely be back again soon.

Really great place for Indian mixed grill and watching sports. Very attentive staff and very spacious. Veggie options are good too. Parking is a problem though.

This was my first time visiting The Royal Oak, a family get-together for my nephew, who was visiting from Australia. The food was delicious, traditional home-cooked Indian food with lots of flavours and suitable portion sizes. I highly recommend a visit. I would love the owners to open an Indian bar and grill like this in Stourbridge!

Food was 10/10 but very crowded place. Too loud and very humid atmosphere.

Came here from London only because of Sidhu moose wala extremely disappointing to see they played English Music & random Punjabi songs all the time & Rugby on the tally Screens .extremely sad & upset to see who they using his name for the publicity. Food was okay for obvious reasons .

Great authentic indian food, no complaints, fast & friendly service. Flavours are on point, great spice & presentation. You do have to get up and go to the front to order, but apart from that everything's nice. This place never fails! If you’re in Birmingham and fancy an Indian then this is the place. The service can not be matched! I come regularly and can’t fault it at all. The lamb on the bone is one of the best dishes on the menu. The food is always fresh and mixed grills are a great portion size. We recently hosted a birthday party here too in the new Remy Martin room - a great space for small party’s/birthdays or a general get together. The staff are always so helpful and every request is always met!

Binder and Sunny are fantastic hosts at the bar. We came for drinks and decided to stay for food, Chef Vaneet is running a wonderful kitchen and the wait staff are so attentive.
