The Sandstone Nab in Redcar and Cleveland

Today I was served by Kym, whom I’ve never seen befor as I haven’t been here since befor Christmas, she was so polite and friendly made me and my 6 year old soon feel really comfortable, And our pizza was absolutely beautiful, couldn’t fault our visit today, 100% be returning, all staff are lovely and happy which makes you feel comfortable and welcome,

Made a special occasion even more special! Callum especially went out of his way to make sure we had a great time and couldn't do enough for us. Food was lovely and the atmosphere perfect. The lady also behind the bar was lovely and the lady we believe to work out the back was very kind and patience with my additional needs child which makes all the difference to us SEN parents. Chain pub at the edge of a shopping estate. It's OK. The food is reasonable but this is basically like an alcoholic McDonald's. Staff great, but this pub is the same layout and food and high prices as most other Marsden builds.

Nice relaxed tea in a warm atmosphere,food came out quick piping hot,i got fish n chips which was spot on,served by aaron who made sure we had everything we needed

Food was OK.. ordered 8oz sirloin with pepper corn sauce. The sirloin came as requested, medium rare it was cooked spot on the pepper sauce corn was the best I've tasted - could tell it was homemade!! Service was great food came piping hot.. Only fault tonight was expecting homemade chips which are really nice from here but didn't have any tonight.. - still enjoyed the meal and would come back.

Every thing undercooked even chips they said new cheif was on but no need for the food we got serverd. Even a couple people round us wer the same used to be a lovey pub for food but recentley changed for the very poor. Woudnt give the food to a dog

I came into today for a meal with multiple other people I am a vegetarian and find it hard to find places to properly accommodate this request without being given a salad there was a lot of range as to what I could eat. The staff are lovely and fully knowledge about exactly what you can and can't eat with allergies and dietary requirements. The pub its self has a calm and welcoming atmosphere the kids loved playing in the play area set out for the kids the pricing is average and the staff even suggested drinks to us based on what we all like to drink. I will definitely be returning and would recommend everyone to try here for food and drink.

Callum spoilt what was our favourite place togo for Meals and Drinks over the past year, its been our go to place once we tried it the food service staff were always fantastic. , The effort was always fantastic for christmas time events etc always looked lovely , but his attitude and abruptness was just so rude really uncalled for and now will never return now he is the Boss he insisted he is

I ordered classic chicken burger, the bread piece was not toasted and the chicken burger is just stripes. Which is not at all worth

Go to the sandstone nab a lot for food and never been disappointed. Same tonight, always very welcoming and friendly. Didn't wait long for food and enjoyed our meals and deserts. Kim and Aaron where great very friendly and helpful.

Had a party of 33 for a quiet retirement lunch, service was outstanding and all food was delivered promptly and hot which was amazing considering how many there were. There wasn’t one complaint as the food was spot on. We were served by Sophie, Brooke and Ian who delivered a perfect service asking everyone if everything was ok. 10/10 all around

Very nice atmosphere. Shame that alot of the vegan options were not available. AARON was very helpful and had a lot of knowledge about the vegan options and how food was prepared and cooked. Nice 0.5 ale for those who want a lighter beer.

Food was ok, nothing exceptional as its pub grub nothing more.

Popped in for lunch. Met by Kim, who was very friendly, helpful and attentive throughout our visit. All food was really good and the chips are some of the best in a pub. We had mixed grill, steak pie and spicy burger. Would definitely come back when in the area.

I called in this lovely place tonight after shopping for a bite to eat I ordered fish chips and mushy peas it was delicious and safe to say massive and piping hot,what a wonderful atmosphere there was the staff are so friendly and go above and beyond .such a wonderful place staff cannot do enough for you .Shout out to Callum and Emilia on the bar and all the wonderful staff thank you to you all and wishing you all a Happy Christmas x

As a frequent customer coming to the Sandstone Nab i would happily say this is the best place for a lovely meal and i recieved the most amazing service from staff, their always happy and friendly and a good laugh!! The food is always delicious as the last if not more every time! My favourite meal has to be the fish and chips!! It’s out of this world🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 The atmosphere is warm, friendly and welcome. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!!

Absolutely love it here the staff here are incredible especially Callum and Amelia they couldn't be more kind and helpful if they tried, half the reason we come is because of the warm welcome we recieve and the foods amazing.

Never leave two reviews for the same place but today these guys have smashed it out of the park, Sunday lunch was to die for and service was impeccable, yes there was a bit of a wait but we were informed of it. Fantastic guys as always .

We came as a family of five on Saturday night just as a walk in, we had a server called Kim who was amazing with the kids just really friendly and lovely made the experience even better for the kids. We were served really fast and food was brought out really fast considering they were so busy, was lovely food and couldn't rate the experience enough.

Popped in while I charged my car again we were greeted upon entry by a very pleasant young man behind the bar called Aaron. He is always jolly and pleasant which makes a change these days and always makes us feel welcome which is why we come back. All the staff here are lovely and have a smile for you. Can't praise them enough.

Over the years, I've attended the Sandstone Nab a few times, but honestly, the experience left much to be desired. The food was often unavailable or served cold and bland, and the staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful. It reached a point where I swore I’d never return. However, for a recent family gathering, the location was set for the Nab, and I decided to give it one last shot. And WOW, what a transformation! Not only was the food amazing, but the staff were incredibly friendly, engaging, and attentive. I was blown away by the positive atmosphere and fantastic service. My daughter, who recently returned from her dance school in London, and I went back in October to catch up over a meal. I never thought I’d actually choose to visit the Nab again, but it’s now at the top of my list! In fact, I was so impressed that I spoke to the new management team and booked our Christmas gathering for 26 people on December 22nd. They were so accommodating and made the planning process seamless. I truly can’t wait to return! Hats off to the management team for such an incredible turnaround – the Sandstone Nab has officially become my new favourite spot for gatherings. Well done, and keep up the amazing work!

Once again we've come for Saturday dinner lovely peaceful atmosphere, great food as always - love the specials menu and the chips. Aaron really friendly and helpful nothi g is too much trouble Here again for our regular Saturday evening tea. The pub was packed but we were served superb food far more quickly than we had been advised. Service was first class, staff efficient and friendly managing a quick chat as they served and cleared food. The chips were gorgeous too!! Lovely food hot and served quickly by very friendly and efficient servers. The Assistant Manager is so good at her job We love coming here on Saturday evenings. The atmosphere is relaxing, the service is quick and friendly - no one is 'in your face' but the staff are very attentive ensuring we have all we need. Our grandaughter loved it too and for someone who is a founding member Picky Eaters Anonymous that says a lot. The food is always piping hot and the specials are amazing. Chips no lo ger best in Teesside but the best anywhere!! See you Saturday

This place is becoming my local. Food is lovely, it has a beautiful mellow atmosphere with brilliant taste in music which compliments the vibe, and the staff are spot on. From all the woman behind the bar to Aaron who's service is welcoming and warm. 100% recommend

This pub uses young people get them in to do a trial shift promises them jobs then takes it away .Don't pay them for trial shift what a humiliates them build hopes up kicks there hopes to the floor .
