Absolutely love this pub as the staff and Landlord are so friendly. Great darts board to play on and the quiz nights are good.

Good pub in a market town with lots of competition. Quiet Lounge. Bar full of life and lively locals. Good beer garden. Well kept beer and spirits at a reasonable price.

Decent pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord and Dartmoor Jail. Sadly both ran out whilst I was there and not replaced. Good service, great juke box and a large beer garden. I will revisit at a later date as it shows promise.

A good pub, a couple of ales on the bar, music is a bit of a distraction in the bar area, it's quieter on the other side of the bar.

Our 1st visit here was when we were staying at the nearby Harcombe House, an old-school pub with lots of charm with friendly staff, what we liked was the jukebox plenty of choices at a great price of £1 😉

I really recommend this hidden pub it has very nice and freindly staff and customers .there is a great selection Of songs on the jukebox and very good drinks the back garden is very nice to sit in the sun or even if it's raining because it has shelters .There is a lounge and a public bar .PS thank you to all of the staff

What a very friendly pub my wife and I were both made to feel so welcome by all will re-visit on our next train journey to Newton Abbot. A big cheer as well for their recent fundraising for Ukraine, if in Newton Abbot a must visit.

Obnoxious clientele. I made the mistake of leaving the door open. Then one person, followed by the entire clientele, shouted "DOOR!" we left immediately.

We have to stop I'm newton Abbot as our train was delayed. This is a friendly pub. Near the station and with lots of things going on. Shame we only have half an hour

We visited here on an off chance as we were just looking for a dog friendly pub to wait for my other half in. The girl working behind the bar was on top of her game when we walked in. First thing she did was offer to get our dog a bowl of water. She was so polite and friendly! Nothing was too much trouble for her at all. Even the locals were friendly! The pub was very quiet, what with it being a Tuesday and after lunch, but the garden was lovely to sit in. Thank you so much for the amazing service!

It's hard times with covid but they seem to have it sorted with half the out door seating coved and 4 Walla to keep away the wind ,

Sat here in the window seat and just seen the partner of the landlord smelling a drink that didn't belong to her. Then put it down. Made sure no one was looking g and then poured the drink into her own glass. HOW LOW IS THAT. Dont think I'll be coming back

Lucky enough to visit on karaoke night. Reasonably priced drinks and fairly talented singers.
