It's our favorite Spoons in Leeds, staff really friendly and keep the pub welcoming. Best bit real ale £1..99 a pint

Very relaxing place to enjoy a tasty breakfast which was delicious. The girl who served me called Jenny was friendly and cheerful. Couldn't of asked for more.

Food good and warm, I had the breakfast wrap and it was very good.

Crowded, noisy, children being allowed to run round, felt sorry for the staff who were working hard and managing to keep cheerful. Too small a space for a decent wetherspoons.

Came for a drink here and it was a nice atmosphere not eaten here yet but the food looked nice

Nice pub, I wish was bigger. Sometimes, they mess up the temperature in the pub, and they can't get it right with the air conditioner, is either too hot or too cold at times.

Very basic and small for a spoons no entertainment, disappointing. 😪😪

Good service from the staff and the they came back and checked on us. The burger from the Christmas menu was great, I'd go back and have it again. Place was clean and the staff constantly clearing the tables.

Breakfast, although very tasty it was not hot enough in fact nearly cold Should have mentioned it to the staff but it was very busy.

Jennifer was lovely, nothing was a problem, cheeseburger was amazing

More expensive than most other spoons, to may tables, understaffed and menu not as good as others.

1 of the best breakfast I’ve had at a Wetherspoons the eggs were soft and the beans were hot and Jenny was brilliant and super friendly.

We were served buy a very happy, friendly and very informative young lady called jenny she was a refreshing change.

The staff are so lovely and do timely check backs to make sure everything is okay with the food and service. The pub is kept clean and tables are cleared quickly and efficiently.

Food and service was very good value for money.

Service was excellent, Aimee did a really good job despite being completely rushed off her feet. Seemed a lot of the staff were stood around doing nothing but chatting and leaving Aimee and another member of staff to run food and work the bar? Otherwise lovely time here

The pub itself was okay, very busy on a Saturday lunchtime, service was good, food was okay. The worst element was finding it. As it is part of a huge shopping centre and the signage inside and outside of the shopping centre was appalling. Parking was chaotic and took you around several roundabouts, also getting out of the car park at the end was horrendous but to be fair it was mostly down to a football match at Eland road, a poor ring road and only one exit for the whole shopping centre. The place did it's best considering it's an awful situation and probably only worth visiting if you are already committed to the shopping centre.

Just standard pub food and good value for money, staff always attentive.

Not a fan of the whiterose in general but in fairness this spoons was nice and give off a nice atmosphere.

the Lavazza coffee is always nice and the best 🤩 ever best is unlimited refill here for £1.59 only 😍 food-wise (breakfast)... fairly ok...

Staff were lovely but the quality of the food has gone down but the prices have gone up!

Fuimos por nuestro té a Scribbling Mill Pedí una hamburguesa americana, me sirvieron lo que me pareció una hamburguesa tamaño infantil que tenía, una pequeña cantidad de algún tipo de sabor en el centro de la pequeña hamburguesa y unas pocas patatas fritas chatarra. ¡Por casi 9 libras considero que esto es un robo a la luz del día! ¡No más cucharas meteorológicas, para nosotros!

Sat in this pub for 2 hours whilst my wife and to kids went shopping in the white rose everything was fine until my wife and kids joined me i had half a pint left and one staff member said my kids had to let there chips go cold or we had to leave as weatherspoons policy wont allow them to eat food not bought on site to be consumed. Witch i think is daft as it wasnt busy and no one else customers of staff had said anything

It's a small pub compared to other Wetherspoons i've been in. I only had coffee, which wasn't too bad considering it is out of a machine, and you can't complain if you are getting free refills. The place was clean and tidy, and most importantly for me, there was no blaring music, so I had a good conversation with my friends.

Brilliant place to stop for food and drinks. Staff are amazing and so kind. The best Wetherspoons I’ve ever been in. Came in for breakfast the food was great and didn’t wait very long for it either!!

Comenzamos temprano en Leeds y un desayuno familiar en The Scribbling Mill comenzó nuestro día. Y no empezó bien para ser perfectamente honesto. Una de la cadena Wetherspoons y un pub que claramente ha perdido el rumbo. El lugar era drab, sucio y simplemente muy, muy cansado. El personal hizo todo lo posible para ser amable en el bar, pero el malestar obviamente se había extendido a la cocina, tristemente. Los desayunos tradicionales se mezclaron realmente, pero no con suficiente fuerza para cambiar la piel gruesa de los granos. Era adecuado, en el mejor de los casos. Sintomático de todo el pub. Vaya si es necesario, pero apenas recomendado.

Great beers, the range of bitters has been increased to around six now. Lovely team of staff, and a great drop in when the wife is shopping. Really cheap as well.

Good service. Food to Wetherspoons standards. Venue is terrible. They have packed as many chairs and tables in as possible. Feels very compacted and over crowded

I can't go above 3 stars because of the price. For reference, we ate at the Morley spoons a few days earlier and I got the exact same food but at almost 100% markup. It was about 8 quid there but here, it was 14 even. Everything else is like any other spoons so if you don't mind paying the shopping centre premium then it's great

Small eating area and more expensive than an out of town spoons. Nothing special but it's ok. Could easily become claustrophobic for some people when busy.

Honestly the food was pretty meh, the staff look and respond to you like the don't care about there customers and the atmosphere is pretty dead especially with no music, the creepiest thing is the CCTV in the toilets, won't be going back in a great hurry especially with other great choices nearby

Cosy little pub. Pint & food was good (Punk IPA & Halloumi Wrap) & the price was about the going rate. Atmosphere was pleasant, not rowdy & not too noisy either. I'm unsure about the toilet facilities as I didn't use them, although I'm presuming they were up a mountain of stairs 😂

Food is ok staff do seem to look fed up I did have to ask for clean cutlery and the cutlery i was given had dried food on it I think you get what you pay for and it's very cheap.

£1.99 for a pint of Abbot Ale, can't be bad. It's a 'spoons. What can I say? Didn't have any food. Staff seemed a little unenthusiastic, but maybe at the end of a shift.

Lovely pub to take a breather while shopping

Typical wetherspoons however it is a lot more pricey than other sites. Noticeable difference. No smoking outside which isn't really good for a pub but I imagine these rules are set by the whiterose center. Food was nice and didn't take long to arrive.

Pizza was nice but slightly over cooked.

Decent little spoons, didn't eat here but the food looked nice that was being served. Staff were very miserable and didn't look like they wanted to be there. The tables were dirty and the toilets were worse, with no working hand dryers!

Food was good, however my 20 something daughter found ordering food on the app an ordeal. Atmosphere was dark and noisy.

Would have given 5 stars if they had CUSTARD! The most basic of treats and we are denied! Come on Weatherspoons! Get your act together. Listen to your customers please.😀

The Scribbling Mill is a nice, cozy place to enjoy a pint. With its warm atmosphere and friendly service, it’s perfect for a relaxing drink. Always a good choice for unwinding!

Food was awful, everything was freezing cold, it took a while so I was hoping it would be fresh, how I was wrong. To top it of the staff have no concept of manners, especially the blonde woman serving in the striped top, talk about attitude, absolutely no need for it. At least serve warm, edible food if you’re going to have the attitude of a 6 year old who’s been told no👍

It's nice to have a JDS not too far

A busy bar, unfortunately, once we managed to get a table, staff were slow to firstly collect previous family's food plates and glasses, however it wasn't until our food arrived that we were asked if we would like the table wiping, it was mining, why ask, but more to the point why wasn't it wiped when the table was cleared. Disappointed also that there were no steak to be had. It was a moment of let's eat, but disappointed generally.

Food was absolutely shocking, the service was disgusting and there's cameras in the toilets. Worst Spoons we've ever been to. Chicken burger got sent back to the kitchen twice and it still wasn't cooked properly..

A lively pub, nice food great service and a very continental atmosphere in the sun.

Breakfast - stopped in for a breakfast. Friendly staff and clean premises. Is a small place, can imagine may be busy later on in the day. Food as to be expected for a Wetherspoon, no complaints though. Happily recommend.
