Had a lovely night tonight food was excellent staff were friendly especially barmaid ruby,was shocked that she hasn't been employed at the six medals long,she was kind and very professional and made our night,well done six medals.

Standards have dropped, got charged separately for squirty cream on the cake slice,

Always a top place to eat and drink before setting off with Teesside Travel to Boro away games.

We were a large party. The staff were amazing, very helpful and considerate. Aaron especially took care of our party and even when the venue became busy he was always wearing a smile. Thanks everyone

Modern carvery style pub, with a definite hotel reception vibe going on. Several groups or families having meals or just meeting up and then going on to other venues. The staff were friendly and efficient, offering suggestions on dining options and seating arrangements. All in all not a bad experience.

We came for our work Christmas meal and just ordered off the normal menu, we all really enjoyed our food and some of us even stayed until 7/8 as the atmosphere was really chilled and enjoyable. The staff were amazing. We will defiantly be coming back thank you.

Order 2 festive burgers at£28 still waiting 45 min later cancelled order and left ridiculously time to wait for a burger. Staff weren’t bothered wouldn’t like to think how long for a mixed grill

Atmosphere was lively, we had Xmas Fayre meal which was well organised and delicious, staff were very pleasant and helpful

Really disappointed with our visit tonight. Food wasn't very warm, steak certainly wasn't sirloin and not cooked to how we wanted it. Service was terrible, dirty plates left after each course, had to ask for them to be taken away.

Liked it we are coming back for Christmas dinner

Just had the hot dog and homemade coleslaw the chef Rob very attentive to how we like our hot dog we have never had a bad experience with the food all the staff are war and very friendly

Came for a very belated anniversary meal with the husband. The service from Neil was amazing, food was great. The only place we really go to when we fancy a quick meal.

First time we had been to this place and what a lovely warm welcome we got from the girl at the bar wish i had got her name made to feel very welcome. Food was really nice will be returning good value for money.

Had my 60th here they went above and beyond, food was spot on, great friendly staff, going to try the carvery on Sunday been told it's really nice and a little bit cheaper than Toby,winner chicken dinner 🍽 👌

From start to finish everything was amazing. The room was beautifully decorated and the service from the staff was perfect. The food was gorgeous and everyone there was so polite and helpful which made the night even better. Abbey and Chloe went above and beyond to ensure everyone had and got what they wanted. 100% recommend and will be back again.

Poor service. Very slow. Table was sticky and we cleaned it ourselves. Dirty cutlery. Empty sauce bottles. Staff dumped drinks on table. Not even a smile or sorry.

We found this little gem last week and decided to call in again today , lovely friendly pub , lovely atmosphere and very nice staff, the Sunday carvery is amazing , all fresh veg , nothing frozen like some places , it’s definitely worth a visit

Always hit and miss this place. This will be my last time visiting. Carvery was absolutely disgusting. Most of the food cold and hard. Avoid.

Often come here for Sunday Dinner. She staff are great and the Carvery is lovely. We were served by George today who was polite and friendly.

Up from Sheffield for a match at the Riverside and popped into the Six Medals for a pre match drink and meal . Great place not too busy and staff, food and overall experience was excellent. Result not that great but hey can’t win em all!!.

We came for a carvery and it was amazing the 1st time we came when it opened it was awful that was a while ago. But wow was beautiful, lovely place amazing staff we love it it here. Especially Leanne she goes above and beyond xx

Manager was excellent - friendly and very helpful about our order. We love the atmosphere of the Six Medals pub & this is down to the commitment & vision the manager has for the pub. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area or locals looking for a change of scene.

Travelled to meet up with some friends and we met up here for a meal and some drinks. Excellent service, was treated with respect and kindness by all the staff. Service was professional and nothing was too much trouble for them. Will definitely return on my next visit to the area. I'd Highly and happily recommend this place to anyone.

We use to regularly come in hear as food and staff are great, we have moved away but still make time to pop in when in the area. We have a sen child and staff are fantastic with her and just role with her Absolutely amazing pub we'll done to all

Excellent quality food cooked to perfection. My husband had the steak deal the steak was medium rare spot on. I had scampi & fries light & golden and hot. The atmosphere is very pleasant and friendly staff. At least four TVs situated around different areas. Music on. Pool table. Hygiene is excellent. Definitely will return

Very pleased with everything here...there was 3 adults and a teenager in our group. We all had Sunday Roast with drinks, stayed longer than normal as the atmosphere was very lovely and homely. Staff seem happy to work there too( it is very rare these days) this is most definitely down to good management! We will be definitely returning.

Booked a table early on in the week got an email that they had received it but then 2 days later recieved another to say that the reservation had been cancelled reason was down to me cancelling or not having the space. Turned up at the pub to be told by the staff they didn’t take reservations on match days which was nice of them to not even bother to inform me of this having my disabled grandad with us. Luckily got a seat but funnily enough see that there was a reserved plaque on the table behind me. So for them to say they don’t take booking they must favourite certain customers. When ordering food to find half the menu wasn’t even on along with them bringing my son and husbands meals out before all of ours so we eat separately. I have been a few times to this place and not had complaints but yesterday was the worst experience and won’t be rushing back anytime soon utterly disappointed!!!!

Poped in for a Sunday carvery on the off chance they had a table as we haven’t booked but we were out getting last minute things before our holiday and the lovely Leanne found us a spare table. The service we revived was great and carvery was gorgeous

Allergy knowledge and understanding was the best I’ve dealt with in the last 7 years, I was made to feel at ease and really comfortable very quickly, more venues and service staff need training by Arron. Came here the other day, least i can say is that i wont be going back!! The staff was nothing but rude, getting dirty looks when all i did was smile at them, no polite manners or nothing… Also Food was disgusting tasted like a undercooked microwave meal, burger wasn't cooked properly and all we wanted was a nice family day out for food.. our table was sticky and not cleaned properly

Sunday roast was delicious. Service was fast and friendly.

Went for a meal today (served by Arran & Alicia) and I can definitely say we will be back! Very dog friendly for starters which was lovely and a big plus for us as we take our dog everywhere. The food was fantastic, we had the buttermilk chicken for starters which was very tender and juicy, and for our mains we had sausage and mash which was actually better than some higher end places we've had the same meal. Sausages were very tasty, gravy was delicious, sautéed red onions added a lovely taste but the mash was the star of the show, it was so creamy and buttery, absolutely to die for and really fresh, not like the mash usually served in pub chains. Everything tasted home made and was really piping hot when it came out. Fantastic place, exceeded our expectations and would recommend it to anyone.

Visited here for tea with family and was fairly disappointed. Service was ok but not great. No cuttlery brought to us so had to get it from another table. Table was sticky and not clean. Food and crumbs on carpet. Food was very basic and certainly not worth it.
