Absolutely amazing food and not stupid prices either. Will definitely be back. The mixed grill was delicious!!

Exceptional mezze restaurant. We had all the vegetarian mezze plus bread and dips between four of us. Was just right in terms of quantity and all dishes were delicious. Very friendly staff, fairly priced and casual atmosphere.

Such lovely staff and the food is creative and delicious. I can highly suggest this restaurant as a destination.

Lovely lunch, funny and attentive server and really delicious food. I miss the Souk that used to be up in clifton so the venture down south was worth it!!!

Wow wow wow!!!! Just had a meal here with my fiancée. We were absolutely blown away. Amazing food, amazing staff and service, amazing atmosphere. Cannot speak highly enough of this place. Legends. Also absolutely stupendous wine selection!!

Every dish was fantastic, loved it.

There were 9 in our party for a celebration, both veggies and carnivores and we all had a truly fantastic time. The food was out of this world, so much so that I spoke to the chefs and the care and ingredients that went into every item was fantastic. The service was also friendly, helpful and warm and it wasn't too expensive. In my opinion one of the best eating places I've been to. I couldn't recommend strongly enough and I'm already planning a return trip.

Brilliant restaurant. Our waiter was super friendly and accommodating. The chef went above and beyond to make us some food without coriander too.

Food was great and a nice atmosphere. The only thing that let it down was the service where we were being pushed out the door while we still had drinks and had shortly before paid the bill, nearly £200 between 4 of us.

Food amazing and well priced compared to other small plates venues in the area

Well presented and flavourful food! The space can get a little noisy when full but we'll worth it for a little treat. Booking not necessary but useful if you want to ensure a table on busier days.

Nice food, mezze. It comes at different times so one of our group had to wait till last then had his meat and fish served together. Fish then cold by time he got to it. All dishes very tasty tho, did a lot of sharing. Very suitable for a vegetarian. Would go again.

An absolute must visit in Bristol. Still recovering from all the amazing food. It feels like a great night out. A lovely waiter managed to squeeze us in for a booking even though they were packed on a Thursday evening. A wonderful waitress was serving us and another third waiter brought his enthusiasm and humour to our tables. In regards to food itself I have 3 words... FAN, TAS, TIC!

Habben makes an excellent cocktail, it almost looked too good to drink. We had a fantastic evening here.

Too expensive for mediocre food. Service charge should be opt in, not opt out. Particularly when the food bill already comes to £100!

Really average food all things considered, also none of it looked like other people's pictures so I'm inclined to think it was a bad night. Couldn't fault front of house staff, but the food was pretty bland. We returned the potatoes... they were dry and bland like the ones you'd expect from a carvery when they've been sat for 2 hours. Tiny amount of sauce. Swapped for falafel, it was alright. Halloumi with honey... can't go wrong, but was pretty 1 dimensional. Wish we had gone somewhere else.

The best hummus I have ever eaten! The cuisine is simply excellent, the menu is original while remaining exquisite. Special mention for the chili and chocolate ice cream, surprising and delicious!

Took a friend here who was visiting Bristol a couple of weeks ago. It was all excellent, I have nothing negative to say! Particular highlights for me were the trout dish (which I'm still dreaming about!) And the Turkish delight ice-cream. Perfect service too, attentive but not overbearing.

The food here is incredible! I've been several times and they switch up the menu often. Everything is always delicious and the small plates are great to get a little taste of multiple dishes. The fatoush salad is especially a highlight.

A pleasant restaurant but slightly overrated. The food was delicious but the portions were small for the price. Wine quite expensive and buying a bottle is only 20p cheaper per head if you decide to share. We booked a table for five but there were only four water glasses on the table. The interior is neutral, quite cramped. I enjoyed the meal, but I won't go again.

Updating my review from my last visit 6 years ago - this place is still fantastic, doing absolutely great food with friendly service and a lovely casual atmosphere.

Middle Eastern place without halal food :)

A very poor experience. Dinner for two on Wednesday 24th April. 2 mezze each, a bread, one dessert and two clear head came to £80! That's the same a we paid at The Ivy in Cheltenham last weekend! The atmosphere was horrible as the restaurant music blended with the music being played in the kitchen resulting in an annoying din. The food was mediocre and seemed to be a combination of luke warm bits that had been pre prepared with a few fresh notes. The kofta for example was dry and cold. Definitely not a good as our one previous visit when I think the owners were doing the service. I would expect better for the money, and will be looking for somewhere else to eat next time we go to the Tobacco Factory theatre.

One of the nicest places to eat on North Street. Sometimes hard to book for a large group as it's quite small. Food plates are great to share and I think the prices and reasonable for the quality of food. Highly recommend always somewhere I'll keep coming back to.

Absolutely delicious food, great atmosphere and A* service. I honestly can't rate this place highly enough. The charred cabbage dish was my personal favourite and the Margarita was as good as you will ever get. Everything was flavoursome, fresh and vibrant. Its now in our calendars for monthly visits.

A fabulous neighborhood place in Southville, Bedminster. We got a very warm welcome on the most horrible and wet days. They have an excellent off the beaten track wine list. The Assyrtiko and Saperavi are perfect! Lovely flatbread and hummus starters. The flatbread was warm and soft, with lovely buttery herbs. The hummus lovely and creamy with burnt chilli butter. So good. Mains were plenty as the food is tapas style. We loved the buttermilk chicken, the prawns, the crispy potatoes, mackerel and the pork souvlaki. The sauces and Mayo's etc that came with everything were exceptional. The Moroccan mint tea was made with real mint leaves and was divine. Service was wonderful. We were served with a smile, by a young woman and man who were helpful as one of our party is allergic to tomatoes.. Wish we could give 6 stars!! Was so engrossed in the food and company that I forgot to take photos!

Very nice menu, cosy seating area and attentive staff. They catered for my dietary needs which I appreciated. Food was lovely. Full of flavour, very plant based with nice nut and spice mixes providing the bulk of the flavour. The houmous and taramosalata were banging.

Busy restaurant serving an interesting selection of Greek mezze dishes.

Absolutely delicious food. All of it. Cannot recommend it enough. We ordered extra bread to use up all the sauces.

Was super excited to go and egged on by locals. Felt really lucky when offered a table as a walk in. Water on the table as you sit. Nice flatbread. Tarama was a touch mild but good ingredients and nicely dressed. Beetroot mezze was great. Then they forget my wine order and bring a delayed aubergine mezze that was undercooked topped with a rock hard poached egg. Waiters only check in to take orders and bring the bill.

Had an excellent dinner, all the dishes we tried were amazing. Very impressed and will be coming back! Great variety and flavours.

It is a nice place to have Turkish/Moroccan/Arabic food in Bristol. The place looks very popular, and the owner was very helpful. We had all types of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The tastes were typical Mediterranean with lot of butter & oil. It's good to enjoy such food once in a while, not advisable on regular basis. Overall, we enjoyed.

There is an exciting Middle Eastern inspired menu here - catering for veggies, vegans and meat eaters alike. Level access entrance for wheelchair users. Go there - you won’t be disappointed!

Early pre gig meal. Fabulous altogether. Attentive service, tasty grub. Value for money in my opinion. 4 of us shared most of the nibbles, all the veggie mains, 2 x bottles of wine plus beer for just over £40 a head. The halloumi with poached pear was tdf !!! Just go. 😁

The food was good, not amazing in my opinion. The cocktails, one was good and the average. The service wasn't the best and was a bit too loud that couldn't have a conversation.

Delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Great portion sizes and friendly service. Nice to see a wine list that has more than French and Italian options available. Turkish red wine was a nice touch. Falafels, humous qnd pitta, grilled pork and their version of shashuka is a must. Apple and cinnamon and dates ice cream to finish was just perfect. Great place to take your friends for dinner. The host was incredibly helpful and friendly and managed to get us a table last minute altough they are fully booked usually. If you visit Bristol must give this one a try. I am sorry I haven't got more photos yet but we were too focused eating.

Souk Kitchen makes some truly wonderful food. The Spicy Lamb is fabulous, potatoes are a must and everything else is great. The atmosphere was cosy yet hip and the staff made some much-appreciated recommendations.

Our visit to Souk Kitchen was unplanned, thanks to a Google Maps detour that rerouted us from our original Turkish dining destination. Once seated and handed the menus, we took it as a sign to stay and explore. The meal started off with an unexpected twist—fried peppers that were green, not red. It was a small but surprising change that had us questioning our culinary color codes. The halloumi and grilled watermelon pairing was an unexpected hit, both refreshing and flavorful, proving that sometimes the best combinations are the most unexpected ones. The Moroccan beer was a nice touch, complementing the varied flavors on the table. The fish dish was perfectly executed, and the bread was nothing short of amazing. The shell on tiger prawns, although visually stunning, had a sandy crunch that was a bit distracting, but it didn't overshadow the overall experience. Though the prices were on the higher side, Souk Kitchen turned out to be a delightful mistake that Google Maps led us to. While we still intend to check out that Turkish place sometime, this accidental find was a journey worth taking in its own right.

It's one of the best places to eat in Bristol. It's the best hummus I've ever had and every dish I've had there has been beautiful, exciting and flavorful.

Meal was okay - £14 for 1 dry chicken skewer with the same garnish on as everything else (pickled veg). Server kept taking plates away while we were still eating.

From a taste and quality perspective, the food is near faultless. Many classic middle eastern dishes, some of which the chefs have taken and successfully put their own spin on, e.g the addition of a poached egg to the mujaddara. The only reason I deduct a star is because for me some of the dishes are a bit overpriced. £13 for two small, but utterly delicious, koftas and some toum seems a bit mean, as does £5.50 for hummus that is barely enough for 2 (maybe I just eat too much of the stuff). We'll definitely be back though :)

It was the first time I’d been since they had their new tapas menu but the food was lovely. The flat breads and hummus were delicious but the courgettes were by far my favourite.

Excellent service and the flavours were popping. The halloumi was particularly delicious.

It is beautiful food for snack. It is very delicious especially the prawn sauce and bread. The prawn is fresh.

Fairly priced, Delicious, Well balanced, Beautifully presented small plates... Lovely staff, Cool busy little setting... Loved it ! 2 of us got well fed for 75 quid inc 4 glasses of wine... I'll definitely go again.

A small plates menu, the food was nice but quite pricey given the small portions. 5 of us, single course with some sides, a bottle of house wine, and a pudding or ice cream desert. £223 was the bill

Amazing place, gorgeous food and great atmosphere

I had no idea what to expect from this restaurant, as a colleague had booked us in for a meal after work. We were a group of 10 or 11, so at recommendation of our server, we ordered two of every Mezze dish and three flatbreads. These were all served to the table in a relaxed manner, a few dishes at time coming out from the kitchen, which we all shared between us. All delicious and all very different from each other. A very enjoyable meal and nice to see they had Clear Head low alcohol beer for those of us not on the booze.

The good here is incredible. The constantly changing menu means it never gets old either. The dips and flatbread are always a voyage of discovery. Eat here....

I don't ever leave reviews for places, but I just want to say something about this restaurant. My friend and I took magic mushrooms while I was visiting her in Bristol, in a park many miles' walk away. Once we had stopped tripping to the point where we could handle a walk, we set off on an epic adventure which felt several hours long. When we eventually arrived at Souk Kitchen and they had a table available for us outside, it felt like stumbling upon an oasis in the desert. One of the dishes we ordered was the halloumi with pineapple, which was probably one of the best things I've eaten in my life. I still think about it eighteen months later with fondness. The photos are from the second time I visited with my friend, at their other location (the halloumi came with something else which was delicious but sadly didn't hit the same as the pineapple).

Interesting tasty food great Meze experience

The food here is absolutely incredible. The only thing that let it down a bit was the staff. Some of them weren’t very approachable and a bit miserable maybe they were just having a bad day everyone has bad days apart from that this is a super restaurant with a great atmosphere.

Outstanding. One of the best meals out we've had in quite some time. A real variety of things on the menu, each with layers of wonderful flavour. Delicious. Service was also excellent. I'd give it 6 stars if I could!
