Everything! I f**ing looove this place. Just had a mojito, best mojito in the world. Boom. Amyway, I came before and food is always excellent!

My go to when I fancy something exciting, freshly cooked and a great atmosphere. The service is always friendly and the food never disappoints. My favourite is the onion soup but the cocktails are amazing too. Love it here.

This is a fantastic place for a perfect lunch well it more than lunch so if you are hungry this is a most definite place to come ,even if you are in a little rush the coffee is the best served with a cake so cheap too. Hospitality is the best to everyone that come in here .definitely worth every penny

After visiting Seven Sisters, I felt so winded that I wanted to eat some warm food, so I went here. The owner was very kind and humorous(?). Of course the food is delicious too! It was my first time trying cheese soup and it was really delicious! I don't know if I'll get another chance next time, but if someone tells me they're going to Seven Sisters in the winter, this is a restaurant I'd like to recommend! ciao!

We had lovely time in there Saturday night. Four of us all had a cocktail and 6 Tapas between us, 3 veggie others meat, and delicious bread and butter, wanted more cocktails as so very good, but bar closed, our fault :-). The food was great, service wonderful, staff very friendly - what's not to like!

Every time that we decide to go here it is for pure pleasure. Jorge's food is delicious and Fabian cocktails are divine! Today I have tried Pasion Fruit margarita it was superb!

Nice coffee and great staff. Popped in for a quick coffee and cake. Nice experience. Coffee was spot on and the chefs kiss was warming up the cinnamon roll to take away, which was especially nice given how cold it was outside. If I’m back in the area, you can guarantee I’ll be coming in and definitely eating there.

An absolute 💎!! We visited after an overnight stay in Eastbourne and we are extremely glad we did 😀 I had the goulash and my girlfriend had the French onion soup. Great quality, hearty food, no arguments with the prices either. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable. Lovely atmosphere and a perfect start to the day!! For the overall experience, I can't recommend this place enough.

Food was ok although my soup was watery and lacking in flavour for french onion. Asked for extra bread andnit didn't arrive until well afyer i had finished the soup. Who would have thought bringing extra bread was so difficult! And then the waiter was annoyed at having sliced it and then not needed! The tapas were nice, though expensive for the portion sizes. Nice atmosphere apart from the noisy drunk on the table opposite. Overall I was disappointed and probably wont return.

Unreal experience, the staff and the vibe are amazing and the food is even better! Please go here, you won’t regret it! The soup of the day is the best bit with the local beer

Great food, service and atmosphere

Myself and my dad have been coming to Soup N Tap for years. We always get a warm welcome and the service is always great even when it gets busy. I would recommend soup n tap to anyone asking for a place to eat with great atmosphere and amazing food. I believe the first time we came was around 2019 and the food has just continued to be beautifully served and cooked. The owner is very welcoming and always has such a positive attitude, even on Eastbourne’s rainy days!

Do you like excellent food? Good lovely vibes with music? An interesting crowd? People who are mega simpatico? That's what you'll find. Whenever we visit Eastbourne we make a beeline here. Always too greedy to take a photo of the food haha, it disappears as soon as they bring it. Yesterday I ate a stupendous sweet potato soup which was made with coconut milk and chilli; it was warming and filling and complex in flavour and it came with gorgeous real bread. (You know what I mean; absolutely no white sliced here, dear!) If you are a lover of cocktails and quality classy alcoholic drinks, then you'll also find plenty. Our mulled wine with a shot of whisky softened up our afternoon and left us full of love and cosy feelings.

I had passed this quirky looking restaurant before delivery coding to try it. Clearly very different but worth the visit. I had the french onion soup, which was tasty and very filling. I was advised not to order anything more until I had finished. Thanks, he was right as I was full. The service was friendly, informed and honest. I will be going back.

We were greeted with such welcome. We sat inside, it was such a lovely authentic atmosphere. The food and wine, I had the Soup, was absolutely amazing, my daughter had a vegan option and that was so nice. We finished off with cocktails and had such a lovely evening. We had very nice time in Soup N Tap with gorgeous Cocktail and delicious dishs! The #Peruvian Chiken Soup it was superb for my taste! The cocktail by #Fabian it is very well done. Really delicious and good balanced ingridients in it. 🥰🥰😋😜🥰🥰

What a great surprise, we really enjoyed our quick snack here. Both staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful on explaining different menu choices. One of us had the famous French onion cheese soup & the other had peanut butter brownie with coffee. We really enjoyed our quick bite. Will come back when in the area. Place clean,& toilets very clean too. Highly recommend this place. Thanks again

What a great place. We stayed in Eastbourne for 3 days and went there 3 times. The piña colada was the best one we ever had and as French people, we were impressed by the oignon soup. Thank you so much for the great vibes and food! Hope to come back one day :)

Sat outside and had the soups- french onion and beef goulash. Beef was great with fresh bread. My wife said the french onion was ok, slightly different, but as described. Great smoothie too. Was full inside and service was friendly and welcoming. Can see why everyone loves it.

Walking disconsolately around Eastbourne town centre on a dull and rainy day with seemingly only restaurant chains, fast food, egg and chips or prefabricated pub food on offer, I despaired of finding somewhere for a light yet tasty lunch. I'm glad I persisted though, because I had a smile on my face even before I crossed the threshold of this vibrant and colourful Latin American eaterie. Even though it was already 2.30 I was warmly welcomed and given a thorough tour of the fare on offer. I chose one of the two soup specials on offer : chicken and plantain. It was delicious and clearly made on the premises. Accompanied by one of 3 excellent craft beers on offer, along with an exhilarating tracklist of South American music, this was both a nourishing and enjoyable experience.

Perfect… should not be missed. Excellent welcome and service, excellent food! A must! We had Bruce with a small serving of French onion soup ( which was enormous). The best onion soup I’ve ever had. Followed by crashed avocados, which was also huge and delicious. Thank you.

We just finished lunch here and it was fantastic 👌 We're in Eastbourne for the day and just happened to be passing. The place was very busy compared to other cafes which suggested it was good so we stopped and are really glad we did. The vegan menu was great, and the vegan favada was amazing 👏 Highly recommend

As soon as you are greated by the consistant host you feel a lift in the atmosphere around you through his positivity and friendliness. The best frech onion soup you can find, you had better love melted cheese. There is of course a lot more to choose from, all of which is damned good quality grub. Drinks are just special. It has to be a place to be tried in eastbourne.

Based upon the attitude of the owner or partner with the overgrown facial hair I would advise that unless you want t to be spoken to disrespectfully I’d suggest going Bills next door, food service and atmosphere was lovely at Bills and they made us feel very welcome. . Advise to owner Change your attitude!!

Love this place, we always make sure to come when we are in Eastbourne. The food is great, the cocktails are very boozy and cheap, the staff is lovely and the atmosphere is festive. It is certainly the nicest place in the high street.

Amazing food , drinks and service

Popped in at just after lunchtime and was pleasantly surprised by the rustic interior and atmosphere.Had the chicken taco and 3 tapas which filled a large hungry hole i had in my belly.Service was polite and pleasant and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and the food was second to none. Went to Soup N Tap for lunch, heard good things about this place so was expecting it to be good, It exceeded all my expectations in every way, as soon as I walked in there is a great atmosphere, greeted by friendly staff ( owner?) Who actually took time to have a chat even though it was busy, We had Tapas And chicken Taco i can honestly say that it was up there with one of my favourite meals, the food was fresh and delicious, love the Décor and music, great vibe, accidentally spilled sauce on my trousers and owner rushed over with soda water and clean cloth for me, ( so thoughtful) every attention to detail is great, a great little gem in Eastbourne we are lucky to have, me and my partner both absolutely loved it. Are already talking about what we will eat next visit 😃 Highly recommend visiting 👌

We called in as it was recommended on Rate Beer. The food was excellent and the service was good. Unfortunately, the beer was not at its best , and that's being kind.

We recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant, and I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before dining here. The owner, a bearded man with tattoos, displayed the rudest and most arrogant behaviour I've ever encountered in any dining establishment. The restaurant was playing music at an excessively high volume that it was nearly impossible to communicate with the staff or even hear us think. When I politely asked the owner to repeat himself because I couldn't hear him over the music, he responded by shouting each word, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. Our table was unfortunately positioned directly under the speakers. When we requested for the volume to be lowered a bit , explaining how the loud music was impacting our dining experience, the owner flatly refused. We then asked if we could change tables, and his response escalated from rude to aggressive. He raised his voice, drawing the attention of other diners and staff, making a scene that was both embarrassing and humiliating. The situation worsened when he decided to cancel our food order entirely. He demanded that we pay for an unfinished cocktail and LEAVE immediately !!! His behaviour was not only unprofessional but also blatantly discriminatory and hostile. His body language and overall demeanour were dreadful, leaving us shocked. My friend was so stressed out trying to calm down the owner but ended up trembling and in tears. Well, the owner clearly needs a serious lesson in customer service, as his current approach seems to be insulting and alienating customers without any justifiable reason. Additionally, we noticed from the reviews that other customers were asked to LEAVE as well, so such behaviour from the owner is not an exception but seems to be becoming a rule. PS: Thank you for a response. However, I’m a bit confused about the comment regarding the "foreigner card." I do not recall mentioning anything about that during our visit.

My daughter and I sat down and started looking through the menu about 12.45pm. The waiter then came over to take our order, we said what we wanted and then were in no uncertain terms told that we were unable to have our order as the kitchen stopped serving our choice of food at 1pm. Once the waiter had gone back inside I looked at my watch and it and it said 1.03pm. I went and mentioned this and was told that there were exceptions made. You would think that as I’d been sitting I the restaurant for 20 mins prior and the fact that he actually wanted the business that he would have obliged. The guy’s attitude from the moment we walked in was terrible, will definitely never be going back.

I and my love return all times to this amazing atmosphere restaurant. This time I have tried the most superb and taste Piña Colada of my life by Fabian. And how is usual I ate a delicious taco by Jorge, very good balance in its ingridients. We strongly reconmend this place for all of friends because there you can to be sure all food and drinks is exceptional well done!

Such a hidden gem. I highly recommend it, whenever anyone asks where they should eat in Eastbourne I always say Soup N Tap. The food is delicious and never disappoints. They have a whole vegan menu, so most dishes they can offer a vegan option for. I really enjoy the brushetta, chickpea strew and the garlic bread (pictured). The cocktails are very tasty too. The couple that run it and their staff are very friendly and polite.

After at least 8 times frequenting this palace of unbelievable cuisine… it’s about time I left a review. The owner Fabian knows whenever I’m visiting the south coast… as this is always my port of call. Service is fab & Food is amazing. Was here again on Saturday with my whole family… as this is their preferred destination too. Music is amazing & food is incredible & all at a really reasonable price… well worth standing in the queue to get the food/service expected with a top end establishment with an extremely great price. Thanks to all the team involved & can’t wait to annoy you again… & of course, bring the sun with me once again… which of course happens every time I’m in Eastbourne 😆 Grazie mille… I am expecting the best ever Gazpacho next time…& a discount for the review 🤪

What an amazing place. Been here 3 times now & have to say it's my favourite place in Eastbourne. The host is so happy & helpful. The food is definitely worth the wait ( it's all cooked fresh to order ). Prices are OK not over priced for what you get. The cocktails are such good value. I always have the pina - colada which comes in a fresh pineapple. Only down side to this place it's so far away from where we live, but trust me if it was closer I would be here more often. Great great place. If your in Eastbourne you have to go there.

We have been in Soup 'N' Tap a couple times before, and from our first time for now, our experiencie it was gorgeous! The menú really is diversity menu, this meaning you have the opportunity to try different ingridients in many dishes. Fabian and Jorge are the most kind staff I have found for now! So, definitively we love this place!

I have walked past many times, and heard the great music, so I said why not try the food, and I did today. Lovely and delicious chicken taco, with veg and lots of marinated herbs. I had a cappuccino which was lovely too, perfect strength of coffee and temperature. The owner was so friendly and happy to chat, great customer service. Highly recommend!

Hearing the lively music,I decided to try , lovely welcome by the staff, I sat outside it was a sunny February morning. I ordered the Beautiful tasting chicken Taco,& a nice cappuccino. I tried the peanut butter chocolate brownie which was very nice . I enjoyed my first visit, the decor is very nice, clean toilets & very relaxed atmosphere. I will be back soon.

What a fabulous place! It was recommended as were the soups. We had French onion and the smoked salmon, both delicious. Lovely welcoming waiter and marvellous frozen Margarita. Fun atmosphere and will definitely go every time I'm in Eastbourne.

So friendly and helpful. But even more important the salmon and horseradish soup was one of the best meals I have tasted in Eastbourne. Will definitely be a back soon.

Music went up far too loud. I see your response. The music was definitely not as loud on entry and clearly went up. Your attitude in your reply, was similarly smug as the service. That wasn't something I should of known before I went in. But I do now

I have walked past here several times and always looks busy with a good atmosphere. My friend and I decided to give it a go. The welcome was really warm and friendly. We were unsure what wine to go for, to help we were given a taste of a white and rose to help us decide. We had the most delicious tapas all cooked really well and tasted delicious. After our meal I had a cocktail which was really lovely too. I won’t be walking past next time. Highly recommended and will be back to try the soup and more cocktails. Thank you we had such a lovely catch-up with fab food and great ambience.

Absolutely love this place, bloody good food and drinks and amazing staff. Highly recommended to anyone in Eastbourne! We walked past one day during our trip and smelt the food as we walked past, it was that tantalising we popped in for dinner and were not disappointed. In fact we loved the food and staff that much we returned for lunch the next day before we headed home.
