The Travellers Rest in Rotherham

Went in tonight ordered 2 very curries and 1 fried rice beef was very tough and chewy curry sauce bland and rice not cooked enough will never go again very dissatisfied overall 😑

Excellent food, drinks and prices. Great location away from Main Street. Fast friendly service and really enjoyed it. I had an excellent club sandwich and then a freshly baked scone. There’s a great choice of cakes on display Would definitely recommend

We had a lovely meal here last week, the meat was tender, succulent and very tasty. Tbh everything we had was delicious and so were the dessert. 🍨 We have already booked again for the Carvery.

Christmas mayhem to be expected, except the mayhem didn’t stop, people still in from last sitting who clearly had their meals late, tables not cleared, no where to wait, very few staff not their fault, when we did finally get our table which was 45 minutes late, we had to wait an hour for the main after had our starter, we complained but no manager available, nobody to take responsibility, the food was cold and didn’t wait around for the pudding , as people around us had left before finishing their meals, spoke to other people about the service and the length of time to wait for food, it’s sad it was Christmas Day, as supposed to be a special day, customers paying for their meals and staff putting up with complaints, but would never book her again, awaiting a response from the management.

Wonderful place to spend an evening, brilliant staff we love it here
