The Tree Bistro in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Brilliant Sunday lunch ..food is amazing on the menu lovely friendly service .Definitely worth a visit folks.

Can’t rate this place highly enough. The food, the beautiful old building, the service. It was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. A wonderful afternoon that won’t be forgotten

The atmosphere was very welcoming and calm. The wait for food was short and the food itself was rich in flavour and cooked perfectly. The waitresses were very kind and were able to give useful information about the restaurant itself and the pub next door. The pub was just as friendly and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend, definitely coming back.

The bistro is in a lovely room attached to a pleasant pub. Service was excellent and staff are very attentive. The simple things are also done very well - we ordered some white wine in a bottle which was served ice cold as it should be. Food was well cooked but mains were just missing something - almost very good but not quite. That said you can be assured of an enjoyable evening if you visit.

The pub offers an authentic environment with friendly staff. I can't comment on the non-vegetarian food, but great to see that they provide a vegetarian/vegan option on the menu. However, as a dish, it was a bit disappointing.. It consisted of a number of what I think were shop-bought items (e.g. pitta bread, falafel, gherkins), in a sort of mezze-style meal on a plate. Two out of the three dips were flavourless. As many food places have really gotten to grips with the vegan scene and providing very high-class meals, I think that they could do a bit better.

We booked a table for two on Sunday 4th to visit July 6th. We were told “we will confirm soon” whatever that means. 8 hours before we are due, we get an email and text saying our booing was declined. We will not bother trying to rebook

AMAZING !!! Thank you for accommodating us with our 4yo twins and for the chef cooking the meal for them out of the menu. I had salmon gravlax, hubby fish soup and both hake as our mains with a starter of heritage tomatoes as our side . Everything was cooked to perfection !!! Service was great too and we could not wish for better end of the great day exploring north Cornwall We think this is a newly open restaurant and we wish you all the best, as you deserve to do well We will definitely visit again !!!

Had 2 consecutive meals here. Really nice food. Staff were friendly and nice. The village is lovely, so this was a nice eating place to discover. Above all, thry allowed our little dog, which can be so accomodating

Very impressive menu which did not disappoint - the food was all freshly made in their kitchen including different types of breads and flat breads accompanying the starters and cheeseboard. All was beautifully prepared and presented, and the flavours blended to perfection on the plate. Even the Merlot I had was a good one. A memorable meal. Thank you.

The Tree Bistro is a hidden gem in Stratton. The restaurant is an intimate setting, with enough space to seat both smaller and larger groups comfortably. The age of the building, with original features such as the exposed beams, convey a cosy, yet professional dining experience. Our table of three, chose a selection of well cooked fish, steak and a meat free option. We all agreed that the starters were delicious, and the table service was excelllent. Both attentive, and very personable. The main courses were well cooked seabass,crab linguine and middle eastern falafel. All dishes looked impressive and tasted delicious. Also it was lovely to hear how knowledgeable and passionate the chef / owner was about the dishes as well. A great evening ended with a pot au chocolat, and a delicious cheese board. A warm welcome, and great service made this an evening we want to repeat! Will be back for certain. Hope you have a great summer!

Warm welcome , next to an open fire with a fantastic seasonal menu with pheasent pate and tender beef , will definately be back
