My daughter booked a table for dinner at 12:15. Two of us had the same meal and the other had a different meal. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Well presented on the plate and freshly cooked food. The service was second to none. The staff were all warm and friendly and made sure we had everything we wanted. It was very good food there was only one drawback. After two of us had starters and main course, there was no room for dessert. We were full to the eyeballs. 😅🤣😂. I would thoroughly recommend the Tudor Arms for stopping off or coming back from the Slimbridge wild bird and wetland trust.

We wanted to visit the Wetlands and Wildfowl Trust at Slimbridge. My wife worked there fifty years ago and was keen to see what was going on there now. This pub is only a one mile drive from there and right next to the Gloucester and Sharpness canal. The food is good "pub grub" and reasonably priced. We stayed for two nights so had two breakfasts and two dinners. Haute cuisine it is not but properly cooked and large portions. My wife is a coeliac and she was well catered for. The residential section, The Lodge" has only recently been built (perhaps 10 years ago) and the rooms are well equipped, the bathrooms are smart and all is very clean and tidy.

Visited this establishment for food when staying at the camp site next door. First observation is forget about this place if you are a vegetarian; very limited choice of vegetarian options indeed, only two choices when we visited, i.e. Cauliflower Cheese and chips and a mushroom Risotto, which was actually a starters but the waitress agreed to serve as a main. Half an hour after ordering the waitress arrived at our table and announced that the Risotto had run out. As a result we cancelled our food order and effectively walked out, suggesting to the waitress that the two classes of medium red we had already consumed should be on the house, to which she agreed; some respite after a pretty awful experience.

We found this searching for somewhere off the M5 for lunch and a walk. We weren't really expecting too much and, when the food arrived quickly, were a bit worried but honestly, it was a fantastic pub lunch (crisp chips, lovely fish and apparently the vegan korma was just right). The menu isn't that of a gastro pub but then so many of those just serve food that isn't well cooked or that great to eat but costs a lot. This was perfect for what we wanted - a small fish and chips and a vegan curry. The fact that they also served smaller meals also appeals as too often, pub meals are far too big at lunchtime. Beer was good, the food was very good and the staff members we encountered were excellent - friendly, efficient and thoroughly professional. The meal was 27.90 for two of us which seems excellent value compared to so many other pubs. I can definitely recommend this pub and we will go there again (and have a really good walk next time).

Great pub to visit for good food and a decent range of drinks including various guest ales & ciders. Lovely location alongside the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal and convenient for the adjoining Tudor Caravan Park. There is a sheltered outdoor seating area to the rear of the pub and a pleasant beer garden at the frontage, the spacious interior has both a traditional and tasteful decor with various sections and a skittle alley. Have always found the meals to be good quality and reasonably priced, plus great service from the friendly staff. With a pleasant calm atmosphere about the place and also plenty of car parking available on site and close by, would not hesitate to recommend this pub.

Very nice pub conveniently adjacent to our campsite and the nearby Slimbridge Wildfowl reserve. Great walks up and down the Gloucester canal. Had 2 meals here - a 3-course dinner and Sunday lunch. For me, the roast dinner was the best - reliable and generous portions, well cooked with all the trimmings. The normal menu is a little staid but nicely done. Desserts are a bit disappointing (for a non-vegan with no gluten intolerance) as they're tailored to suit all but for me, at the expense of the best possible. All in all I'd recommend if in this beautiful spot.

A nice pub situated next to a campsite (which we stayed on) and upstairs a short walk from the canal. Has a little beer garden- butnits attached to the carpark so, despite the beautiful surroundings it feels like the extension of a car park. Unfortunately £16 for a pint, a glass of wine and 2 halves of coke is just cheeky. Think they are fortunate to have the caravan park next door and are being greedy. The visit was spoilt for us by a guy F-ing and blinding while sitting with his partner and dog in the beer garden. I'll keep myself and kids away from now on.

One of the only pubs in the area, the interior's clean and bright with lots of different spaces, decked out more towards food rather than drinking. But to that extent, the food/menu is a bit underwhelming. Sunday Roast is a good size and price, but a total lack of herbs or seasoning or depth - very 1970s, overcooked veg, nothingy gravy. This might be how the locals like it but there'd be no reason to drive more than 5 miles. They take reservations but you have to order/pay at the bar.

There were only two couples in the dining area, but there was no milk or serving cutlery but out. So, I had a wait to have my coffee and took spoons of tables to serve granola. The English breakfast was ok. We didn't bother to have breakfast the following day. We also had the evening meals twice, which were ok. The specials were the same both days. The food was good and reasonably priced, but the batter on the fish was thick and soggy! The sweets were very nice. We had a tast of a few of the ciders, which were good. A A lovely pub. Table service was provided for both food and drinks orders, Staff were polite and checked in at least twice to make sure everything was okay. Everything was reasonably priced for the quality; Our meals came out quicker than we had all expected (as a table of five) and we had no issues that would be considered as important with our food, Everything was fresh hot and well presented. My only criticism is as follows :- *Staff may have been polite but it'd be nice for them to smile to make it feel like more of a welcoming establishment *The batter on the fish that two of us had was a bit soggy and we both felt that it could've done with a few more minutes to be perfectly nice and crispy We'd recommend visiting at least once, Especially if you're not local to the area like us

The food is always tasty too and there is a good range to choose from. The WWT Slimbridge restaurant can be noisy at lunchtime and, although the bird reserve is very dementia friendly, the noise levels at meal time are not ideal for someone with dementia. Nice pub a short walk from the canal and swing bridge. Unfortunately not situated directly on the canal but close enough to walk after a drink or meal. Beer garden / patio looks out onto a car park which isn’t ideal, but is a little sun trap so nice to sit out when the weather is good. We ate in an evening and had the dog with us so were put in the newer part of the pub, food had to be ordered at the bar but there were free dog treats for our four legged friend. Just come back from a weekend at The Tudors Arms at Slimbridge. The room was spacious and very clean with great furnishings and tea/coffee as you would expect but also a Tassimo coffee machine. There is a separate car park for residents and there are only 12 rooms so it gives the feel of a personal touch. The pub is a separate building, the included breakfast is very good and although there are a few set choices on a menu, we found you could basically ask for whatever combination you wanted. We ate in the pub both nights and the restaurant is well thought out, not noisy and the food is really well cooked being reasonably priced. The staff, whether at breakfast, during the day or for dinner were all friendly, attentive and nothing appeared to be too much trouble which is exactly what you want from a weekend break. If you want a quite friendly pud with very good accommodation that allows you to have a bit of escapism then this is the place to stay, definitely recommend it.

Fabulous lunch again today Thur 8th June. Food cooked to perfection. I had tuna on a bed of delicious vegetables, my brother had a very tasty pork strogonoff! The place is very spacious, always clean, including the toilets that are always spotless. Richard saw us to our table and our male server was extremely welcoming, polite and efficient; taking time to recommend a wine and a local beer. His service deserved out tip. Be was busy elsewhere when we left, but we hope he knows we tipped! We left it at the bar. Hope he knows how impressed we were with his manner. Kitchen staff, also for preparing well cooked meals. We ate inside, but a gorgeous spot if you want a drink outside ready to walk the canal tow path. Thankyou for a lovely lunch. We will be back.

A warm welcome awaits from a very good team of staff, good selection of drinks and food! All served to a good standard, we had a small beef roast that was very good and mushroom with chorizo sauce topped with Parmesan cheese.

We’d booked a table as we knew this popular pub next to our camp site was going to be busy. It wasn’t too bad for a Wednesday at 6.30 p.m. in February and we probably didn’t need to have booked! I ordered the small fish...

Friends and I enjoyed our various pub dishes here on a Wednesday evening. I can personally recommend the steak and red wine pie, which goes down well with their choice of ciders.

We enjoyed our Anniversary stay and meal at Hatton Court Hotel. All staff were polite, friendly and very efficient ensuring we had an enjoyable evening. The surroundings, atmosphere and ambiance were very pleasant. The menu had an excellent selection of food and wines to choose from, I enjoyed the crispy salt & pepper squid but in my opinion, after being served my ‘Bouillabaisse’ (fish stew!) I was underwhelmed, the lobster bisque was lacking flavour and missing the mussels (I didn’t initially realise there were none) the Sea Bass was very nice, but I did put in a late order of fries which arrived in no time at all. On the other hand my wife really enjoyed the Arancini, followed by Braised pulled beef feather blade. The bottle of Italian wine was very nice and paired well with the fish. We would not hesitate to eat here again, but my choice of mains would certainly be different.
