The Urban Chocolatier Barkingside in Redbridge

Definitely one of the best desert places I've been to - from great service to great environment with plenty of variety and highest quality deserts in the area. Food comes quite fast and always fresh - definitely recommend

I can’t say enough good things about this place! The service was fast, and the staff were both efficient and polite. The atmosphere was vibrant and beautifully designed, even though it was packed with people. They got our order spot on, and the red velvet waffle was incredible—it looked stunning and melted in my mouth. The ice cream was far better than what I’ve had at other spots. I’m beyond happy with my dessert and the overall experience here!

This branch is very clean and better than the one in Cranbrook Road. The chocolate fondant seemed very fresh. The interior is nice. As long as this branch remains clean I’ll be revisiting.

One of the best dessert places in London with loads of delicious treats available. Endless choices which out them above the rest. I’ll be back again soon for sure 🎂

I find it difficult to review sweet delights, after a few morsels it just tastes sweet, perhaps over whelming sweetness. Let me try. This place is welcoming, by virtue of the staff. Looking at the menu is overwhelming. If you struggle to make simple choices in life, then you’ll certainly struggle to make a choice here. Nonetheless, if you do eventually make a choice Rischita and the team will ensure you get a great delightful experience. The food will be with you promptly, it will presented creatively and It will tantalise your tastebuds. Can’t go wrong at this place, definitely a great place to please your date, wife, children or mistress…

Visited twice already in a week. Desserts are better than many in Paris. Cool ice cream flavors like gulab jamun and jalebi, which you can sample. Delicious chocolate fondant. Last visit featured good service by Chaitra.

I really enjoy the varied selection of the menu and can get something different yet delicious each time I come here. Both the hot and cold desserts hit the spot. My personal favorite is the salted caramel cake. Shout out to Chaitra for quick and excellent service.

Went to have a coffee, but ended up having churros and Sebastian cheesecake. 😅 The presentation of desserts was 10/10 but the taste of it was disappointing. Cheesecake tastes like frozen vanilla cheesecake not even similar to Sebastian's one 😅😅 Churros.. well I guess is just an English version 🤣 Service was okay… What I liked its atmosphere, the shop is well decorated! 🤗

I sat down with my date in one of the booths to be approached moments later to be moved due to it being a busy time and bigger groups being able to sit there so we agreed. We didn't know whether we needed to go to the counter to order or were staff there to take orders since there were plenty who were just standing around. Anyway, after waiting for 15 minutes, I ended up going to order since it was busy and placed my order for my dessert. Tell me why a couple had sat down where we were moved from moments ago to be eating their dessert in peace. I felt very disrespected since it was my very first time attending this business I asked the management and explained my complaint and he then brought the original waitress over for me to explain which was unacceptable. I'm wouldn't recommend this place overpriced, has no customer service, overcrowded

If you find yourself in the area, I can't recommend UC highly enough. They have really elevated their dessert offerings, and it's a delightful experience for any sweet tooth. I had the pleasure of enjoying their cheesecake, which was rich and creamy, topped with a luscious pistachio sauce that added a unique twist to the classic dessert. To top it all off, it was elegantly finished with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Each bite was absolutely heavenly, making it one of the best desserts I've ever had. Taste: 10/10 Atmosphere: 10/10 Customer Service: 10/10 A shoutout to the female staff team. They took care of us. 👏👏

I went to Urban Chocolatier last night and tried the Pistachio French Toast, served with vanilla gelato and fresh strawberries, along with their Nutella hot chocolate. Both were amazing! The toast was warm and fluffy, with spot-on pistachio flavor, and the strawberries added a nice fresh touch. The Nutella hot chocolate was rich and comforting. The staff were friendly, and the place had a cozy vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you’re into desserts!

Lotus Biscoff French toast was incredible. The cafe affogato was nice. No need for the extra shot. The vanilla ice cream is so nice. Open till 1.30am. Very nice decor as it’s new. Parking after 5.30 outside free too. Great location!

Well decorated, food was good but I felt it could have been better like other branches, for example the apple crumple had these little hard plastic bits in it that I had to pull out of my mouth. . . The red velvet cake felt like it was left out for a bit too long. However, the customer service was great!

Very sad to share this as I’ve always raved about Urban Chocolatier and the high standards they hold. I ordered cookie dough white choc for takeaway. I got home within 5 mins and opened the container to see a hair (probably a beard hair) on the cookie dough. At first, I didn’t realise it and went to taste a bit of the cookie dough on the other side and it tasted awful. It was grainy and tasted undercooked. Not the usual standard that I’m used to with urban chocolatier.

The Barkingside branch is very spacious enjoyed the ambiance. The desserts were amazing, Chaitra was very helpful and explained the menu throughly, ordered fondant cake on her recommendation which was amazing.

Incredible deserts and vibe inside! Waffle tasted great and our serve Chaitara made sure we had a great time. Will come back!
