Ordered a kids cheese and ham wrap , it had no cheese in 👀 Kids icecream then served in a bowl with a huge chip out of it , I sent it back and was giving a snotty response

Lovely easy place to eat as a family

The major drag with the Wallaw is the frustrating time it often takes to be served at the bar. In no way is this a criticism of bar star who try their best under difficult conditions, but a criticism of management. Go to the Cramlington Wetherspoons and you'll find delays don't happen, much better than the Wallaw. I suggest Wallaw management undergo in-house training at Cramlington.

In cold weather, the heating needs turning up

Went to the Wallaw, Spoons, at Blyth and had a vegetarian breakfast which was excellent value for money and very tasty. I have recently had to change my diet due to health issues so was not sure what to expect. It was really good and I certainly will be having another, next visit. Well done wetherspoons. Once again, you stand up to the plate (sic!) 👍

Had a family get together that was ruined by a very rude abrupt woman from the bar. My 16 year old had 2 sips of a corona cero which is alcohol free 0.0% which it says on the menu and on the bottle. Was asked to leave as he had apparently consumed alcohol which he hadn't. Won't be back again as there was no reason for her to speak to us they way she did. Maybes teach your staff to speak to people they way they would expect to be spoke to.

Got asked to leave as my 16 year old had 2 sips of a corona cero which is 0.0% alcohol. It's says it on the bottle and on the weatherspoons app. The lady from the bar that came over to our table to was rude and abrupt claiming they could lose their licence. How could they lose their licence when there is literally no alcohol in the corona cero what so ever. We were having a big family get together that was ruined by the weatherspoon staff. Will not be back again.

Dark, depressing and no atmosphere, needs an overhaul.

Price can't be beaten. If you want a decent meal for a reasonable price try it out

One of the best conversions from a cinema to a pub.

It's what you'd expect from spoons. Cheap cheerful, the place is clean the food well its spoons but every time we have breakfast here the eggs are always perfect runny yolks crispy bacon. Perfect Sunday hangover breakfast 😋

What a lovely spoons a old cinema 🎥

There was a party of 17 of us and the girl who delivered our food to the table was the most miserable person to have in customer service, basically throwing/banging down our plates. She then came to collect the empty plates and again almost smashed plates throwing them into the plastic tub to take away. One of my party made comment and said "is there something wrong you almost smashed plates" the surrounding area fell silent i think everyone got a shock with the clatters. The girl never responded or had any manners at all.

First time visit and will be back again much better than the one in Bedlington

This place needs a good scrub! You can see the muck in all the corners and on the walls. Shut the place for a day and get the deep cleaners in.

So we were a party of 10, pizza was like a4 paper tasted bland, forgot one of our pizzas. Then the attitude when asked for a update was awful from sophie almost like we lied about it not arriving. Same issue happened again near the end of the meal with missing 3 drinks off. Again refunded but but nicer woman helped us when we reached out about that issue, also the glasses we were given has lipstick marks on. So clearly not washed correctly, some drinks were full to brim some not, whomever was handling online orders was clearly having a bad day, overall atmosphere was poor. (3:30pm)6-10-24)

Had the new ramen noodles today. I had the veggie option hubby had the chicken. Wish there was a king prawn option. It was absolutely gorgeous and really filling! You nee to get some chopsticks tho!!! My mam had the tomato soup which is always lush but 3 massive big chips in the blue bowel. Come on man they need to be binned!

Place is one of the prettiest Spoons you will find being converted from an old theater. Apart from some of the local riff raff who seem to live there. Place is pleasant enough and staff are lovely. Food is what you expect from a spoons. Prices are getting a bit steep for what you get I my opinion but it is what it is. Most folk are here for the drinks prices anyway.

The Wallaw is probably my favorite Spoons. I first came here on a footy trip to watch my team Curzon Ashton at Blyth Spartans several years ago. I was fascinated by the transformation of the former cinema into it's current format. I have relocated from Greater Manchester to Tyneside so I will be able to visit more frequently. Such a beautiful day was had on Blyth beach followed by lunch at my favorite Spoons.

No food just drinks but lovley staff n very clean 5 stars xx

Amazing building in an old cinema, gorgeous bar decor and nice atmosphere. Normal Wetherspoon food and drink for the normal prices. Staff were lovely and we had a nice lunch.

Food very nice, Gourmet Steak and kid's meals. Converted cinema turned into Witherspoons. Affordable prices..£37 for 4 people including drinks. Definitely worth a visit.

A friendly environment, albeit on a Wednesday afternoon I visited with friends the pub was only a quarter full, we had a jug of cosmopolitan cocktail which was okay but served in chunky glasses - more for younger clients.

Food was standard, well done and quickly served. Bhaji was underdone in the middle. Maybe cook on a lower heat for a little longer.

There has been extensive flooding in the foyer of the building for many months. The smell when you enter the premises is not nice due to the damp. However the staff, food and price of drinks are all spot on.

Was impressed staff friendly only thing was as walking in obviously had leak on roof and carpet stinks other then that good

if i could put 0 stars i would this place is absolutely diabolical, i ordered my drinks as per usual and 30 minutes later i still had no drinks so when i went up to the bar to ask about it they told me the drinks had already been served, which means someone else got my order so when i had explained that to them they turned around with a sarcastic tone and said they can’t do nothing about it

Only good thing was the cup of tea,the black pudding was hard over cooked, sausage burnt ,egg was only warm bacon and beans were hot will I return don't think so probs try Toby next time

We loved how the interior has stayed relevant to what the building used to be. The razzle dazzle of the art deco cinema.

Just there for Coffee, the hot drinks station could have been a bit tidier. On the whole v good and very reasonable.

No atmosphere to speak of, staff took over a hour to move plates from the table WE stacked for them. Took 10 minutes to be served thru the app for 1 pint. And to top it off someone crapped all over the mens toilets which was there for over an hour. Disgusting

First time visitor. Very impressed by this conversion of an early 20th century cinema. The auditorium is vast and consequently quite draughty. The well known ales are cheap as is the extensive menu, but don't expect much that is healthy. It is Wetherspoons after all. There appeared to be only a couple of staff manning the bar, delivering the food and clearing the tables, but they were cheerful enough and it wasn't busy. Probably fine if you were with a large party, but for two it's a bit like eating in a football stadium. If it was a woman I would describe her as 'All fur coat and nee knickers'. I enjoyed the visit just to see what they have done with the place, but probably won't be back. Sorry.

Wetherspoons. Nice looking, converted cinema. Very big and rather draughty. Plenty tables, but understaffed. Food and drink cheap and plentiful. If it was a girl, I would describe her as all fur coat and née knickers. Can say I've been there, but won't go again

Lovely venue, and starters were nice, service is good and prices cheap. But unfortunately let down by a very poor main, pain the extra for the gourmet 8oz sirloin steak and had it medium to be safe….but think I got 4oz steak and 4oz of inedible fat. Avoid the steak!!

Not enough staff at the bar. Always the same, queueing just to get a drink can take up to 20 minutes! What a nightmare. Staff are not the friendliest.

It's looking a bit rundown at the moment. For what it's costing for the repairs and kitchen Refurb it would have been better left as a cinema. It needs a good refurbishment more security on doors.as you get gangs of abusive little toe rags not very nice better places to visit in Blyth

Generally a quiet pub it has an impressive setting as an Art Deco style cinema which has retained many original features including the top balcony and seats. Currently being renovated but you can still eat and drink here

Took my mam for breakfast and was stunned with the decor. Table services was good and the food was excellent. Atmosphere was very relaxing and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Always a fun pub coz it is authentic for what it was and the beers not bad either. Always a good place to chillax !!

Came in for a catchup with friends on our only day off ... got here at 11am ordered drinks , food and more drinks ... arranged for family to meet us here at teatime with the kids ... only to be given a reserved sign on our table and to be told we have to leave by 4pm as a party of 20 ppl were coming in !! No ifs no buts and staff member was quite abrupt about it... food itself wasn't bad ... for a change ... normally cold breakfasts but burgers today were nice.
