Exceptional service from start to finish, great food. Loved our Sunday Lunch.

We visited on Friday January 17th and had great friendly service from Maxine. Our delicious meals were prepared by chefs Kal & Dale! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, which brightened up a rather grey January afternoon! Anne & John Tilling.

The food was absolutely gorgeous, can't fault it at all, portions were huge and very well presented.

Made welcome on arrival by Maxine.food was excellent and did not wait long.good size portions.thank you Gaz & Kal (chefs) Will definitely visit again. 🙂

Went for Christmas Dinner. Not been out for Christmas before but the staff were lovely and welcoming and the decor was festive. The service was great and the meal was lovely.

Visited this pub a few years ago in the afternoon, and it was great. service, food, ambience, everything was amazing. However, popped in on the off chance of a meal and relaxing drink only to find that it has lost all of the charm it used to have. It's such a shame for a really big pub to be so empty on a Saturday night. Hopefully, it gets better and busier soon.

Lovely place, warm & cozy. Food was nice although the buttermilk chicken burger could have been drained from the fat it was cooked in. It was lovely and tender but as I bit into it the fat just squirted out! Not pleasant. Drain first on kitchen paper maybe before serving. Otherwise all was lovely and I would have give 5 stars as everything else including service & atmosphere was perfect 👌

We visited the Walton Arms on December 25th and was looked after by Alisha. She was very friendly, attentive and provided excellent service.

Lovely pub, staff very friendly. Kids had chips and pizza they really enjoyed it. We had the turkey pie with red wine and mash. The best pie we've had so far. Would definitely recommend this place. We will be back to try their Sunday dinners as it wasn't available on the Wednesday. Its affordable we paid about £60 to £65 i think. 2 pint of beer and a bottle of diet coke and the kids drinks were included in their meals I think.

Food was perfect and cooked to perfection

Had the Roast. Solid 8/10. The lamb was delicious - very soft. Potatoes were tasty. Carrots a little under cooked but still edible. Beautiful place inside and out. A little cold inside for my liking. A bit of a wait for our food but it was worth it in the end. Dessert was very nice too. Will definitely be back for another Roast and pint of Estrella.

Maxine our server was so lovely and helpful. The food was amazing I would definitely recommend anyone to visit you won't be disappointed.

Christmas lunch at the The Walton Arms today as family working yesterday etc and sadly have to say it was pretty much a disaster. Started with a phone call 2 hours before saying the delivery hadn’t arrived so no Christmas menu available (although no mention of this at noon when we called to confirm time of booking) just pub classics……don’t insult my intelligence and just admit the ordering was cocked up and yesterday was so busy you ran out! Then no apology or any form of gesture of good will just very defensive staff, slow service for starters to arrive and poor atmosphere (oh and cold too). They didn’t seem bothered in the slightest about destroying a families Christmas meal together. Lesson learnt won’t be eating there again and certainly don’t recommend Christmas dining!

Lovely atmosphere, cosy environment, our food was excellent, Maxine our waitress was very friendly and helpful and really good craic, the steaks were perfect steak and venison pie was superb

Had a lovely roast dinner here today. Service was great. Thanks to Maxine and Max and obviously the chefs too, Gaz, Cal and Jono. Would definitely recommend this pub for a visit. Atmosphere a 5 since edit of 17/12/24, previously 4 as I first went in on a very quiet Friday night. On that first evening a great impression was made. Both staff serving me, Max and Alesha were very pleasant and helpful. I was informed this is a pet friendly place. Great News! I can bring my nearest and dearest and my little dog. Look forward to the next visit. Big thumbs up from me. SC. I had a herbal green tea and a decaf cappucino and they were lovely. I treated myself also to hot fudge cake and custard both served hot. Delicious! Roughly a £10 total spend. The cold drinks you see here were made up by Jack. I can’t drink alcohol and these drinks were delicious with many tropical fruit flavours. Edit of 17/12/24 : On Sunday 8th December my partner and my Dog came with me for the Christmas Dinner. The serving of Turkey was huge and it was tender and steam roasted. On the plate was also a Yorkshire pudding with a Chestnut stuffing ball, roasted honey glazed parsnips, honey roast length cut carrots, a bed of green cabbage and a very tasty gravy. It really was top notch presentation and so tasty too. The mincemeat and apple crumble topped with a crispy brown biscuity top was amazing and served with hot custard. We were happy to have the two course option and we would have wasted food if we had chosen the three course option. We were satisfied with the quantity and happy for the overall experience. Our dog had sausages and she was very content. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cosy and warm little pub to enjoy our little day date. We were greeted as soon as we entered and not rushed to order drinks and food which gave us plenty of time to explore both the lunch menu and the frstive menu. Ella our waitress was very professional with a smile. Provided a good service and was friendly. The food was delicious 😋 My partner had the steak and chips (the tripple cooked chips are to die for, definitely recommended) whilst i sampled some starters. The red pepper soup was just perfect with a little kick to it. All round a lovely hour child free in a cosy little atmosphere pub. Would definitely recommend.

Had our annual Xmas dog walk and xmas lunch at the Walton Arms for the fourth year running.13 adults and 10 dogs.As always staff were very accommodating and welcoming. We were served by Matthew. The food this year was exceptional and chefs Geordin and Gaz deserve a special mention. Calling in tomorrow Tuesday after walking the dogs with a little something as we forgot to ask for the tip option to be applied when paying by card reader. We will definitely be booking again for Xmas 25. Well done 🐾👏👏

Whetherspoons delivery at Miller & Carter prices. Not really sure where to begin. We were a table of 8 including three young children. When we ordered it wasnt busy in the slightest but we waited over two hours for our main meal. Being told that there was a big table in, doesn't really count as an excuse. Obviously frustrated by the time food arrived but wouldn't have minded if the food had been good quality, it was absolutely rubbish. The table had a mixture of roast dinners, burgers and fish and chips and each one was well below par given there price. They knocked 25% of the bill but even if they had given it all for free, there is not a chance I'd go back. Stay well clear.

Lovely cosy lunch at the Walton Arms on Sunday. We both had the roasts - Turkey for me and trio of meat for the other half Served with plenty of veg, a large Yorkshire pud & limitless gravy Size is substantial so we only added on pigs in blankets .... Well it's only proper!! Left room for sticky toffee pud which had loads of sauce and a jug of custard Everything was delicious. Might be back next Sunday 😜

One of the best pub meals we ever had! We had patė to start with, for mains we had a beef pie and a lamb shank, and for the desert a sticky toffee pudding and a chocolate brownie. All of the food was delicious, not a single complaint. The atmosphere was nice, cozy, and clean. We thought it was pricier than other pubs, but worth it. We were served by Max and Jack, whom provided a great service. Though, we didn’t meet our chefs Kallum and Jonno, we enjoyed their food very much. We definitely recommend and will come back again.

Maxine served us today. Like Bret the hitman hart, she is the best there is, was and ever will be. Double the money she wins. Treble it even. Chips probably needed a better SPF, looked like they could have presented supermarket sweep. But overall amazing.

This pub is so lovely and cosy. Our Sunday roast was very tasty and we were served by a lovely and helpful waitress, Maxine. Would highly recommend!
