The food was great and the service we got from Erica was second to none!

Updating this review: I've been to this pub more times than I can count and the service just gets better and better! Plus their food is absolutely amazing, I've tried almost everything from the menu and the chef/kitchen staff know how to make a delicious meal (but be warned, the portion sizes are big, especially for the roasts, fish & chips, burgers and the chicken pie), so I want to give a big shoutout to them! Callum, Nial, Yarna (she's the best at making cocktails), Erica, Hannah, Aliya and Olivia are great hosts and I will definitely continue to visit this pub

The weir is definitely my favorite place in London, the staff are really lovely and really helpful, the food has a good quality, the drinks are amazing and is also a cozy and enjoyable place. Callum and Nial are always welcoming, ever time I come I am well treated.

Haven't been for many years. They don't list beers. Are they a free house if so what cask beers do they keep?

Erica is a fabulous addition to the Weir’s staff profile. She’s conscientious, professional and extremely personable. And kudos to the Weir in general for always making us feel welcomed and well taken care of. Love the garden. Love the inside decor. Only minus: would like to see roasts less thinly sliced and cooked rare (or at least medium rare!)

Went for Christmas time Sunday lunch (and drinks!) on 22nd December. All 6 of us enjoyed our roasts / meals. The cocktails we had were also great. The unexpected live music was a bonus. @phildexteracousticmusic was amazing and even let me do a song! But the best by far was our server Erica! She was on hand so much so, it was like we had her to ourselves. Very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely come back again.

Excellent Menu really nice vegetarian Wellington/nut roast. Food arrived steaming hot and service from Erica was superb....lovely lady from Austin, Texas.... the cherry on the top of the cake..... She was friendly and very attentive....In the background there was a fine guitarist added to the convivial atmosphere 🎶 singing and playing some nice music. 10 out of 10 for The Weir! 😊 🙏

Aliya was a lovely server and made me the best espresso martini. Come early for the Sunday roasts they are fantastic and great view right on the river.

Decided to try The Weir. The food was delicious - I had the mushroom pie and my husband had a chicken burger. Erica was our server and she was friendly, efficient and made great recommendations. Will definitely go back.

Great service for Sunday lunch... table right by the river and gentle live music... so very happy to find this little gem right in the middle of the town. Visited again just before Chrismas... this time very impressed by the service.. Aliya looked after us and did a great job of being there when we needed her... and not when we didn't!!

Clean plates all round says it all. Over a 30 year period we Christmas dined here about 12 times. I think it was Olivia who served us. She was absolutely terrific. Great night.

-Very pleasant staff- but 1 of the group had to wait 10 mins after everyone else for her main course. Last Christmas same thing happened but it was longer than 10 mins - main courses lovely but the Weir Platter at £23.50 was terrible value and largely not nice. The hummus, for example, came in a bowl the size of a tomato ketchup bowl to dip your chips in. Hardly any - and it was really watery as well. - we understand that they had run out of several main courses before we arrived but when we asked for coffees- they had no cows milk!! Only almond milk which was not our preference. How can you run out of milk in a restaurant ??

We had a Roast lunch today at the Weir. Our server Olivia was very friendly, professional and courteous. I enjoyed the Chicken roast very much and would recommend it to my friends and family. The Romanian wine well complemented the Roast Beef... We liked the festive decorations in the Weir. We will be back. Thank you very much.

A thank you to Jo and all the staff for their assistance with our school reunion. The Weir Bar is such a great venue with lots of space and seating areas both inside and out. Very friendly staff couldn’t do enough even though it was very busy. Will definitely be returning to try out the lunch menu and would make a great spot on a nice day to sit outside or out but undercover.

Great pub, lovely location next to the canals. Great service from Olivia who sorted us out quickly. 2 for 1 on pizzas on a Sunday evening is always good.

Turned up without a reservation on a very busy Christmas Friday and they made space for us - great! Food was up to it's usual delicious standard and service was top notch (thank you Aliya), has certainly improved with the new staff on board. 4 of us left very pleased we went. We'll be back, soon!

We came for a Saturday family lunch and the staff, especially our server Erica, could not have been more welcoming (or patient). From indecisive adults to a curious toddler, we were quite a table. Everyone enjoyed their food, especially the spatchcock chicken, even taking home leftovers. My stand out dish was the gingerbread brownie with miso caramel, which I didn't really have room for but had anyway and didn't regret for a second. Thanks so much for looking after us - we're not all together as often as we'd like, so being able to spend time as a family, while someone else worries about food and drink, was wonderful.

I have been coming to the Weir for nearly 10 years. This is hands down the only establishment that keeps on innovating, creating and keeping all its patrons well fed, imbibed, entertained and treated like 5 star guests. This has all been led by Jo and her amazing team. Nothing ever seems to much, the attention to detail is amazing! Well done to you all, and thank you Jo for always pushing the envelope in ensuring the Weir is a place of wonder and an experience not may places in London or anywhere come close.

A wonderful restaurant/bar well equiped for delicious food and entertainment. Our waiter, Erica, was beyond pleasant. She took careful care to ensure that we were well taken care of. Would 100% recommend this place to any locals or tourists.

Olivia was an absolutely fantastic waitress and when my friend Tara forgot her bag she made a point of chasing after us to return it. Many thanks for a wonderful visit.

We had a lovely roast dinner at the weir, the portion size was amazing, much more generous that your standard roast and the best Yorkshire pudding. From the moment we got there, Erica (our waitress) took great care of us, going above and beyond to make our meal pleasurable. We even got a complementary pudding for the birthday boy which was a lovely extra touch. I could not fault our experience. Thank you so much Erica!

I visited the place with a couple of friends on Saturday afternoon. We were served by lovely Olivia who answered all the questions regarding the food including the specials and the wine menu. Our choice were the oysters for starters (from Whitstable!) and a very good deal for the steaks. The oysters were accompanied by a glass of bubbly followed by steaks with a decent bottle of red wine. I can honestly say the food was the best I had anywhere in Brentford ever, the service was impeccable and on top of that there was live music that kept us entertained until late. No doubt we will be back! Thank you very much Olivia and the gang. Five stars from the three of us!

It's a store behind a friend's house, and it's a comfortable place with a fantastic atmosphere and delicious food to match. The Guinness is delicious, as expected, and the fish and chips are a work of art.

Lovely evening at the Weir yesterday. We were well looked after and enjoyed a fantastic 3 course meal. The food really is excellent here. The team are very passionate about it and there is so much care and attention put into everything. In particular we really enjoyed the new poached pear pudding. This is a beautiful dessert, a great addition to the menu! Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Sunday roast is very good and good value but service was appalling. Waited 40 minutes for the first bottle of wine to be served. then nearly 2 hours before the roasts came. Manager apologised and said he'd remove the service charge. Not much of a bonus as I'd have removed it myself. When the bill arrived they hadn't removed the service and had added an extra bottle of wine! Real shame as it's a pleasant spot with nice (if incompetent) staff, live music was very good too. Won't be back.
