First timer. Very nice food, although the teeny tiny portion of veggies accompanying my Very nice beef was disappointing. A bit of cabbage, a slice of parsnip... Friendly service on arrival. Waited ages for lunch to arrive. It was a bit like Deliveroo when it did. The (different) server did not speak. No "is there anything else I can get you," "Sorry to have kept you waiting", smile etc. At these prices, quality service is something that cannot be gotten wrong. I usually ask for optional service to be removed on occasions like this, but it's Christmas. Would I go again? Yes, but possibly not at a busy time.

Xmas Day lunch, the food was excellent and succulent and staff so attentive. One of group has a food allergy and chef sorted specific sauces, while team and manager ensured everything went smoothly. Well done all.

This is the first time we’ve eaten out on Christmas day and The Whitehorse team was outstanding. Service was impeccable and food was beautiful beautifully presented and tasted delicious! I’m very glad we visited The Whitehorse for Christmas lunch. Food was delicious and great value for money. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, often coming to check on us whether everything is okay and if we needed anything further.

Very disappointed with the food. I ordered heritage beetroot salad. It was one vacuum packed red beetroot with a few cubes of yellow beetroot. Surrounded with a piping of something white with a granola and tinned mandarin garnish. Main course was nut roast - looked ok until I touched it and it just crumbled and looked and tasted like Paxo sage and onion stuffing mix out of a packet, with only a small dribble of gravy - it was very dry going. Cubes of roasted potato hard and not edible Dessert was a mince meat tart, pastry like concrete, served with a lemon ice cream which clashed with the mince meat. Husband had pork which was dry and stringy, and a chocolate slice which was sponge with a small amount of chocolate. The restaurant had run out of Cava. The service was very good tho. The room was spacious.

Decent gastropub fayre and no waiting as went mid week. Daupinoise was dry and replaced quickly and not charged for rest of food great.

Decided to go for a last-minute Sunday lunch at 5 o clock today. Ordered Sunday roasts which were served lovely and hot, good sized portions. Even had a free Yorkshire pudding, which unfortunately was a bit tasteless & chewy, it had probably just been reheated the same as the roast potatoes, slight disappointment. Sticky toffee pudding was also tasty & a fair sized portion, was served lukewarm though. Service was great, friendly & quick. Restaurant was quite noisy, poor accoustics & lots of small children. All in all a lovely restaurant but wouldn't rush back for the Sunday roast & might go a bit later on in the evening next time. Thanks for the lovely service.

11 of us had a team lunch at the White Horse and the food and service was amazing. Everyone in the group commented on how much they enjoyed their food. Special thanks to Emily and James for the service and attention given to making sure we had a fantastic dining experience. We will certainly be back again and will thoroughly recommend.

Very impressive first visit, made particularly memorable by the attentive supervision of Emily. Very smooth operation, and the food was good too. Loved the crispy beef dishes, made better by a lovely bottle of Buitenverwachting. Very pleasant evening all round, and will definitely Italy be call again.

Fernando, James, Emily and team are just exceptional. The bar and restaurant was buzzing and the team were just offering up an exceptional service to the guests. We live close by and call ourselves extremely fortunate to be a local to this great place.

Everything was superb as soon as we walked through the door. Service was incredible, food was amazing- we shared a few small plates and they were all perfect- especially the mackerel and Gorgonzola balls. The fire is lit as well so super cosy. Currently thinking we’re going to stay for dessert.

I recently visited The White Horse, Beaconsfield and I can’t praise the service enough. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and friendly. The team was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. Our food and drinks arrived promptly, and everything was served with a smile. Even though the place was busy, we never felt rushed and enjoyed a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. It’s rare to find such a perfect combination of excellent service and delicious food—highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great dining experience! Will be definitely be returning very soon to see Fernando and the lovely team.

Amazing food and the service is fantastic

Not at all dog friendly as advertised. If your dog barks (shock horror…) expect to be kicked out,and expect the other patrons to glare at you menacingly. Weak management, good food and a great selection of refreshments. Avoid if you have a dog.

Lovely food and atmosphere with a divide between the pub and the main restaurant at the back. Reason for the one star off was the service was particularly poor I think they were understaffed on this Sunday afternoon - we had to chase the stuff for each interaction from ordering drinks to food to asking for the bill, significant time delay between ordering and receiving food. What a shame, but I think I’d still return.

We live nearby and this place has become our go-to pub. The staff are brilliant, always so friendly and attentive, food is excellent and the atmosphere is wonderfully cosy. Definitely recommend their Sunday roast!

This is a big pub and restaurant with lots of tables, some outside at the front of the building. It has a good range of beers and wines. There is a good menu with some interesting dishes. The restaurant area is towards the back of the pub and is a nice and light. The service was friendly and efficient. The pub is at one end of London Road and parking on the street can be a bit of a problem, so you may have to use one of the car parks at the other end of London Road and walk back to the pub which just takes a few minutes.

Food is always good and it's a lovely place to eat but the restaurant service can be variable. The manager was good but some of the staff seemed disinterested which was a shame.

This was our second visit as the first had been so good. The restaurant manager could not have been more helpful and attentive. From re-arranging chairs and table settings, to advise with the menu, ordering drinks and food, making sure we were all comfortable and happy; he was great. The rest of the restaurant and bar staff were equally kind and took time, despite being very busy. Our meals were great; cod loin cooked perfectly, and enough chips with the fish & chips that we all got some! We'll be back again soon and will be recommending The White Horse to our friends. parking in Old Beaconsfield can be a hassle, but well worth the effort

Then last March 2023 we banned ourselves when we got a terrible meal in quality and quantity. Could have forgiven them if not for reaction of the manager. He knew there was an issue,knew we were not happy and did not bother to get involved but was observed clearly looking and eavesdropping. Was left to polite young waiter who said would mention to chef so hopefully not happen to another diner!. That was all the reaction we got. The reason we banned ourselves was as we left the eavesdropping manager said next time we come ask for him and he would make sure we would be happy- no attempt to placate us by a decent apology , reduced price, replace the dish or anything- for us not acceptable. It may sound cliché to say this pub is one of the nicest pubs I've ever been to, but the photos don't do it justice - this is genuinely a beautiful pub inside and out. Emily was an absolute angel, her service was amazing and my gluten allergy was accommodated extremely well. I had the pork ribeye and, for somebody who doesn't usually go for pork on a meal out, this was a tasty dish. The pork was perfectly cooked, with delicious veggies and potatoes to finish off. The service was extremely quick and Emily always kept me updated with my order and the wait times (which there was hardly any), which was a nice touch. It just goes to show how above and beyond the team go here. If you're in Beaconsfield, Uxbridge or the surrounding areas looking for a nice place with a variety of foods to try, I'd absolutely recommend giving The White Horse a try. The food was superb, the staff efficient and very friendly. One of our party was elderly and disabled but the staff couldn’t have be more helpful and made the visit very enjoyable.

This is the first time we have come to The White Horse and we were all SO impressed! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and happy to give advice on food choices. We were a table of 5 and tried out the lamb roast, beef toast and mixed roast and every single one was honestly the best roast we had ever had. The meat was soft and delicious! My daughter had a double portion of squid which again was fresh and soft. We couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was. The desserts are huge and delicious too. Well done to the management, you are doing a fantastic job and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this pub!

We had a few drinks in the garden, overlooking the green, on a beautiful sunny day. Tom served our drinks, (he makes excellent Pimms). Tom is definitely a credit to the management there. Always smiling and couldn't be more helpful. Will be back for sure.

We were a party of nine, and the staff couldn’t have worked harder to ensure we had an amazing time. We had visitors from the states and it was lovely to be able to ‘show off’ such an amazing place to dine.

Stands out in quality of food and service vs other gastropubs. They really make an effort to keep customers satisfied.

We arrived late on a Sunday night, a family travelling along the M40 with a long journey ahead of us, and we needed somewhere comfortable for a break and some food before continuing. We have enjoyed my meals at Brunning and Price venues over the years, we have always had good experiences. We phoned ahead a couple of times as we were delayed, and we knew we had a time limit with the kitchen closing on a Sunday evening. The bar, waiting and kitchen teams all worked together to welcome us, get the food ordered, which was tasty, arrived rapidly and just what we needed. Saved us from the fast food of the motorway services! Later, the manager I had spoken to made a point of checking up on us personally. Everyone cared. What more can anyone ask from a restaurant venue?

Absolutely appalling service provided by this business when trying to book for 22 people for a special event, the booking process was bizarre, after 1 month of trying to contact the restaurant speaking to staff who had no knowledge of our booking but confirmed the restaurant was not booked that day and they would get the manager to call us back (we gave up and made a booking elsewhere thankfully), under 2 weeks ahead of the event we received a response from the white horse, they said they have secured our booking for two hours after our requested time and we had to leave within 2 hours, we also were not allowed to bring the children who were included as part of our original request, which would include our own child to our own wedding. Weird experience, I have given them 5 stars on atmosphere as the place is lovely and 3 stars on food because I have heard good things but not eaten there, but the service is dreadful. Definitely would not recommend for any planned events.

Best roast dinner we've had in a long time. Really lovely pub. Will be back to try other dishes soon. We had the lamb and the pork. Highly recommend.

We stopped here about 2pm as "walk in customers " for Sunday lunch en route from Kent home to Midlands via M40 to break our journey, after all the congestion on M25 We were greeted friendily by our waiter Manu who was very polite attentive and helpful. He kept us updated on progress with preparing our food. The atmosphere in the place was very welcoming clean and tidy, They clearly welcome families and young children as we saw severalvchild seats/high chairs and games, puzzles etc to keep them amused. Food was not cheap, but was fabulous very well presented, and cooked perfectly. I had belly pork roast and my partner had the roast beef, we had a glass of house rose(also not cheap) and with the small deserts and coffees and tip it came to over £88 for two. (With no starters or sides.) The toilets were upstairs and well kept and clean, although the flush was too slow re-filling in the gents. . Thoroughly recommended, and it was expensive but worth it to not dine in a chain establishment. 2nd Visit We loved it so much we booked a table in February on our way back from Kent. We were not disappointed, the service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive, the food fabulous: we shared a baked Camembert starter, then both had the roast beef, and finished with mini sticky toffee pudding with our coffees.

Had a great experience dining at the white horse. Lovely calm atmosphere, and the food was delicious. Every staff member was extremely polite and helpful, but we found James to be extremely attentive. We are looking forward to visiting again when we are in the area.

We were looking for somewhere for dinner in Beaconsfield quite late one evening and other restaurants were no longer accepting diners. The White Horse was happy to serve us. The restaurant doesn't look that big from the front but goes a long way back and so is large inside. There is plenty of choice on the menu and the food was very good quality. Service was friendly and quite quick. We would definitely come back if we are in the area.

I popped in for a drink with some friends before Christmas and really enjoyed the pub. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and they are very kid friendly with toys and games to keep them entertained. Good beer selection with 5 or 6 real ales, mostly local. Didn't try the food.

It was an important occasion and everything went even better than we could have wished. Absolutely brilliant. We were a combination of carnivores, vegetarians and vegans. All tastes and appetites were catered for and all the food was delicious and served in a timely fashion. Very friendly staff. We lacked for mothing.

It is difficult to award such a meal even a one star. The staff are most welcoming and cannot be faulted. The premises are good and a pleasure to be in. The food is the ONLY issue! We have been a number of times and enjoyed the fish and chips, which we have recommended to a number of people. We hope they do not take our advice!! The fish we were served should have been thrown back into the sea. They were comprised of mainly batter with little meat! Our bill was over £70 for two plates of very small fish and chips and a bottle of wine!!! What on earth is the management playing at? We know that restaurants are struggling, but if you cannot provide a reasonable portion, for what is a basi meal, perhaps it is time to close the doors!! The owners should not console themselves by the fact we did not complain at the time. We never do so because it ruins the night!! But heed what we say! It is all very sad.

Yorkshire pudding was rock solid. Tasted like cardboard. Not enough gravy on the food. Food was bland.

A last minute decision to eat here ! We looked at the menu and thought it looked inviting. I had the king prawn garlic starter my wife to be the salt and pepper squid … both were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Always one for a good steak we both had the ribeye which was cooked perfectly with delicious chips and a salad mix which included pickled porcini type mushrooms and a delicious tomato with a garlic topping. Great service and will definitely return again

Have eaten here before several times with family. Very unhappy about the portion sizes - in particular one of our table ordered halibut - Pan-fried halibut, lobster tortellini, seafood bisque, salmon caviar 24.95 BUT the portion was so small it was embarrasing - very tiny piece of over-cooked halibut - the size of 1.5 fish fingers - pathetic. We will never return here again. David

Normally this place is ok for a nice roast. On this occasion I had the prawn linguine which was definitely the wrong choice - rubbery prawns & pretty tasteless. Service a bit sleepy as well. Anyway better luck next time.

We called in for a lunch Friday. It was too hot to eat outside so we went inside only to find the manager on a zoom meeting shouting at her screen. We had to move further in the restaurant so we couldn’t hear her droning on. Our meal was OK, slightly salty which spoilt it slightly. Typical Beaconsfield prices, £60 for 2 meals and beer/coffee quite an expensive lunch. Unbelievably 1 hour later, on our way out the manager was still shouting at her laptop. If the management doesn’t know how to behave what chance have the staff got.

My mother and I visited white horse two nights in a row for dinner. All the staff we encountered were friendly and smiley, making the whole experience pleasant. A minor hiccup with our order was handled by the staff brilliantly, genuine apology and rectified instantly - cannot praise them enough. The new menu food is delightful. Can’t fault the scallop and chorizo starter, or the Halibut main. Delicious. And the option to order a half size dessert is brilliant. Will definitely be back soon!

Oh dear, I hate talking establishments down but, I don’t know what this restaurant is trying to be. We were shoved down the end & abandoned for 15 minutes…it was blatantly obvious that there wasn’t enough serving staff from the get go. Our waitress was pleasant enough, it just seemed to be all over the shop where you are constantly waiting for something. The Crispy beef starter was fine & the Fish & Chips looked really good but my “premium” steak burger wasn’t! When a restaurant doesn’t ask you how you want it cooked, is when the alarm bells ring!! I think the manager was new, so maybe still finding his feet…? Anyway, I didn’t even want to write a review!

My wife and I organised a meet up with my family and choose Beaconsfield/The White Horse purely because it was central. The restaurant is large and light and service was very good. There was a very good choice on the menu. There were 5 of us and had two roasts, two cheese and tomato pies and my wife the curry. Everyone was really impressed with their meals - certainly a cut above the normal gastro pub fair - no complaints at all. Deserts were mini desserts with coffee/tea which were a good size and tasty. Prices very reasonable and a wide range of real ales on pump. Definitely make a return visit.

We visited this pub for Sunday lunch. We were greeted at the door by a lovely Lady. It’s clean, tidy and easy on the eye. There is a good menu for Coeliacs, which my Wife was happy with. There was a bit of a wait for our meal but, when it arrived, wow! It was delicious! Full of flavour! The staff were excellent, attentive and friendly. It was probably a bit more expensive than other pubs but was, nonetheless, good value for money. All in all, a top experience.
