Went in on Saturday night for drinks. Sat by the fire and started to chat. Bar lady came over and said all customers had to move to the snug as the pub had been booked for a party. The snug is the size of a very small living room and they put 20 people in it. We couldn’t move, it’s was crammed and noisy and some people had to stand. When we asked could we just stay in the bar area was told they would ask the birthday girl if she minded but then never came back to us. We finished our drink quickly and left. Might be useful to tell your paying customers there is a party booked before they order drinks so they can check there’s going to be room to enjoy the drink first. Won’t be going back which is a shame because it’s my friends local and she wanted to try it out to be her regular place. Bar staff also need some customer service skills after spilling a pint into a babies pram her reaction was to shout ‘oh Ffs’ and roll her eyes.

Bien después de una noche fui aquí por un bocadillo pensando en conseguir algo sabroso, la verdad es que acabé con secador del perro. Literalmente el Bloody pelo del perro. Tuve un bocado en mi butty y para mi sorpresa terminó con un pelo.

Passing through Ormskirk at lunchtime and saw Toby Carvery, pulled in and found the Fiveways. We both had the Carvery which was an excellent choice of Lamb, Turkey, Gammon or Beef. We both had Turkey and Beef the accompanying vegetables were excellent and even though stood on a hot plate were not dried up. The place is spotlessly clean the toilets smelt fresh and clean. One of the best Cavey's we have had., and the price was very reasonable @£15.48 for two

Pub was deserted when we went so very quiet. I had the cod and it was as good as any I have had. My companion had the slow cooked lamb and said it was excellent. The chips were proper decent one but I would have thought a few more of them would be nice and chips are not that expensive are they. Beer was a fair price not rip off as in some establishments. I know they are new owners and it will take time to get established. Some entertainment in the summer, quiz night, and a st Patrick's night as there used to be one here would be welcome.
