Lovely lunch and all round good experience today. A warm welcome at the Wighton and excellent service. Particular thanks to Gemma for being such a friendly snd efficient server.

We love the Wighton! The team are fantastic, the food is always of a great standard and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. Gemma was a super star this evening during what seemed to be a difficult service - Very professional, friendly and helpful. The whole team here are always fab 👏

The Wighton is a lovely resturant with plenty to choose from from the menu. Our waitress Gemma was lovely & polite & she made our afternoon really pleasant. Thank you Gemma for your service & looking after the six of us. We will definately come again x

Both times that we have visited, we have been greeted by friendly, cheerful staff and the service has been brilliant. The menu has plenty of choice and the desserts are delicious. Drinks orders taken and brought to our table within a few minutes of being seated. Food orders taken in good time and food brought out piping hot, beautifully served and delicious. The Wighton has a welcoming and relaxed feel about it, the decor is lovely and the seating comfortable. The staff are all smartly dressed, friendly, cheerful and attentive. The Wighton has become one of our favourite places to eat and we would highly recommend it.

Food was good quality ,we were a party of four,all enjoyed the food. Sadly no Guinness available, which is my go to drink and no tomato juice. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Parking was good ,decor nice ,seats comfortable. So only slight issue is the stocking of the bar, Prices were about 120 for four of us lunch and 2 drinks each

Very helpful and attentive staff - Megan & Gemma

Came here for a New Years Day meal. Megan and Gemma really looked after us well - very polite, attentive and welcoming. The food was excellent and the decor and ambience is delightful. This was our first meal here, it will absolutely not be our last.

Absolutely lovely as always. Been coming to the Wighton regularly for a few years but in recent years have enjoyed Christmas Day and now New Year’s Eve. Lovely food, Uri and his team are wonderful, so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you for a fabulous evening

First time visiting today. Bar staff were great finding us a table with no notice and on such a busy evening. We felt that this was absolutely no trouble for them and they were happy to accommodate us. We did not have to wait long for our food at all either, even though it was busy. We didn't feel rushed at all either. The gammon I had, was the best gammon I've ever had to top it off! My partner had the mixed grill and demolished it also. Lovely waitress serving us as well. There are very few decent pubs in Torquay, this one however is at the top of our list. Everything is superb.

We were warmly greeted at the door when we arrived and then shown to our table. The pub was nicely decorated for Christmas. Our table was well presented and a good size for our party. The food and drinks were all great and well priced. Really good, attentive service from all staff… especially Cerys who looked after us really well at our table. We had a lovely Sunday lunch.. thank you.

We came here with four friends to celebrate my 77th birthday. We chose here as we had been before, they had not. No complaints about either the food or service and will come again as we live locally.

Nice pub but it was completely dead on arrival. Your staff are nice. Food was not great, obviously re heated, yorkshires burnt and hard, roasters rock hard around the edges and tough. Good got dropped off and no check in, we would have asked for more gravy etc. No Christmas theatre or music, more like a ghost town. As finishing up meal told to get the last orders in well before 10pm. Wont return next year.

Great food - friendly, professional staff - reasonably priced

Had an impromptu lunch visit recently while my car was being serviced nearby. A week or so before Xmas so it was quite busy but I was offered a seat quickly and given menus. Liked the fact you can order from the menu using a QR code. Has the signature burger, fries, slaw and onion rings (extra charge for these). Overall the food was good. The burger was well cooked with a good amount of cheese etc. my main observation here is the fries. They use the Mcdonalds style thin fries. If these aren’t cooked perfectly they become hard and brittle which means you’ve got to chase them around the plate to get them on your fork whilst they shatter when prodded with a fork. Mine were slightly over so didn’t enjoy the game of chip chase around my plate. Get thicker chips guys please! Staff were friendly and attentive and I would definitely return but will avoid the fries next time.

We always bring family and friends to this place because the we enjoy the choice of meals service is good and the staff are very helpful and friendly. An all round pleasant experience thank you all once again

Had our staff Christmas do here and was very good. Service was top tier and food was very good. Great for large groups.

I found the lunch time menu very good a good choice, I did find the cherry and apple crumble for dessert was like the fruit came out of a jar and not fresh fruit bit disappointed. Overall very nice.

Fab service from Gemma and Millie this evening for our work Christmas meal thankyou ladies. They worked so hard to make sure everything was taken care of and nothing was too much trouble! Food was very yummy we all had empty plates. Very nice inside as well lovely atmosphere.

Great food , Cerys made sure we all had what we needed and was very attentive. We all had a great time.

Went last year, and it was very good, we just found the meals this time were average for the price, not a wow factor. There was no service with a smile from the waitress, unlike last year, the waitress was pretty amazing. The one good thing, was when we waited to be seated, the young man has good customer service.

Visited a few days ago, had a brilliant time. Staff were very welcoming and friendly - specifically the young waitress that served us - Millie - made sure that we were looked after and had a great experience.

Arranged a family get together before Christmas, meal was lovely, service excellent our waitresses were Gemma and meg. We are booked in for christmas day, which we are looking forward to. Thankyou again for a great night.

My family all got together last week for dinner. We were served by Gemma and Malhia, they were both excellent. Warm and friendly service. We sat in the bar side of the restaurant with the dogs and both members of staff fussed them too. The food was lovely, no one had any complaints and we all really enjoyed our visit. Will go again and recommend to others. Thank you 😊

We were a party of 7 and we were all really pleased with our main courses and desserts. Service was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to all the staff who were on duty Saturday night.

Best meal i have had in a while!

We only went in for a dink this time. The manager went over and above to try and get me a wine I liked. We like going here very calm and comfortable.

Gemma our waitress, serverd superbly, we had family down from London and had a delightful meal, and afters. Gemma went above and beyond. Polite friendly, would highly recommend coming here, for service with a smile.

The Wighton is such a cosy place to bring our two pups. Gemma, in particular, is exceptional - always making sure we’re attended to and of course, the doggies. She goes above and beyond. I return mostly because of the atmosphere she provides.

We were greeted on arrival by a friendly staff member, shown to our table and a drinks order was taken almost immediately. One of the drinks wasn’t quite right (wrong colour wine) but this was very quickly put right, no problem. Our food came quite quickly and was delicious, various different meals enjoyed by our five member party. The experience was as good as we could have wished.

Had a lovely experience at The Wighton on Tuesday night for the quiz. Great atmosphere, largely down to the friendliness of quiz host Maliha who was engaging, fun and a credit to The Wighton.

Expensive for drinks and you never know what time it will close. Seems to be driven by how they feel

Excellent food, with very polite, helpful staff. Our waitress "Gemma", made sure we were very well looked after and that we had everything we required.

I ordered hunters chicken it looked very odd something slimy on top which I have no idea what it was and the chicken was dry and tough as old boots shame won't be rushing back !!!!

Could not fault the service, I had the kebab but items described were missing from a previous visit which was disappointing. My husband was also disappointed as his first choice was a ribeye steak which they had run out of. It wasn’t a steak night when demand would have been understandable and we did eat early evening.

It was my daughter's birthday she already had cake etc with family day before but when I told them it was her birthday they put candle in her pudding and wrote happy birthday in chocolate sauce. They were just lovely

We were really impressed with both the food and the service. Not having visited since before covid, we noticed a huge improvement in both over previous visits and will certainly be back!
