Really good choice on the menu with some tapas style plates if you don't want a full meal. Kids choice is good as well and the man behind the bar gave my grandson some crayons which he was thrilled about. Seems really clean and the toilets both male and female were spotless. Will definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

Staff was great and friendly we arrived about one hour early but was not a problem we had two meals and beer and tried the nonalcoholic new drinks

Myself and the girls from work come to the pub on our office days. The food is really good, the service is exceptional - Nick is so polite and friendly.

We were booked in for Christmas lunch. My first experience of having Xmas lunch out and I wasn't disappointed. Food was yummy, service was excellent and the staff and atmosphere were amazing. Def recommended this pub. Thanks to everyone

Came to the Windmill with my family for some lunch and it was a pleasant visit. The food, drinks and service were top tier and couldn't have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend this establishment to others.

Great little pub run by a special team. I came here with older relatives who are very picky eaters. I had the katsu curry which comes with rice and chips. The had the scampi and fish and chips from the lunch menu. Nothing was too much for the staff who went above and beyond for us. The pub is very festively decorated and warm and welcoming. Would definitely recommend and will be back in the new year.

We attended a few weeks before Christmas for the first time after living in the area for a few years and I don’t know why we haven’t come sooner. We had a lovely family dinner at The Windmill pub. The starters were delicious, especially the crispy calamari. I enjoyed a hearty steak and ale pie, while my partner loved the fantastic burger. Our little one had a nutritious kids’ meal. Paul, the manager, was great, making our experience even better—especially with the warm chocolate brownie dessert to top it off!

The bar was super busy on Saturday and there was a rock band on which wouldn’t usually be our cup of tea but it was such a fun evening. The bar was extremely busy at times but the service remained efficient and the tables were being cleaned when possible.

Friendly, welcoming with a really good selection of beers, importantly, fruit ciders and many different spirits. The katsu curry is the best anywhere and to top it all off there is a heated garden. Will definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

We popped in for a drink and something to eat, we bought the sharers meals so we could have a selection of different to foods. The food was great and the service was nice and friendly and quiet quick

Haven’t been here for a while. Quiet Monday afternoon thought we’d pop in for something to eat. What has happened to this place?! Service was slow. - waited about 30 minutes for our food. 2 tables had dirty plates etc on and nobody cleared them while we were there. They weren’t busy so no excuse. Red wine was awful - possibly watered down or the absolute cheapest they could buy. Glasses and cutlery were stained/dirty. Not cheap either! Definitely won’t be returning.

My son and I came for lunch as a treat for completing his first day at school. My son had the ‘make your own tacos’ which were delicious and a lot of fun for him to construct himself. I had the bacon and blue burger which was great, flame grilled taste and good portion sizes. We enjoyed eating outside in the sun and staff were super friendly and helpful.

Beautiful lunch friendly atmosphere we will be back to sample the rest of the rest of you atmosphere and brilliant menu .

Come here often for a Sunday lunch. Always good value for money. Ordered roast beef but didn’t have horseradish so nick & Paul nipped to the shop to get us some. Definitely above & beyond. Fabulous.

Only passing by Monday 26/08/2024 and stopped for a beer. Sat outside. Many uncleared tables out and in after probably a busy BH lunch service but no excuse not to have enough staff on duty to deal with it. A branch of Greene King. Not impressed.

The young lady who served me was very nice and polite. I ordered a portion of chips and was served with a very bowl of chips, but was given no condiments, cutlery or paper tissues to wipe my hands . It could be a good pub, but doesn't get my vote.

The food here was very nice. Large portions and reasonably priced. The reason I gave it four stars was because we waited for fifty minutes for the food. It was busy but not that busy to wait so long. The staff were lovely , they just needed another pair of hands and it would have been okay.

Absolutely love this pub. But I was here on Wednesday 21st of August and the old man behind the bar was extremely rude and refusing to order us our food especially when the pub was quiet. Shame to see it ruin the pub we grew to love.

Nice pub but it would be even better if staff would kindly ask very noisy customers to respect the weekly quiz night. Seldom see any managers on Tuesday evening which might improve this.

Massive choice of beers and ciders which is good news, I had the duo roast which is beef and turkey, really was very good. Will come back in the week for a burger as they looked really good. Staff super friendly and landlord was very good to talk to.

I came here with some friends who live near by and have always said it’s a lovely local pub, and i can say it definitely is! i had the hot honey chicken burger which was recommended by staff on their new menu and it was absolutely amazing. drinks were reasonably priced with a fizz friday deal, will definitely be returning soon!

We visited the windmill as a family on a Sunday. We ordered an adult and child’s roast and the burger. All the food was really delicious and reasonably priced. My 4 year old son loved his kids roast and enjoyed the colouring on offer. The service was outstanding, Paul and the team really looked after us. Will be visiting again.

Place used to be a dive but since the new guy has come in, it’s really turned around. Much cleaner and well run. Kudos.

Had my dads wake here and the bar staff were lovely. They gave us the area at back which had its own private courtyard garden. Food was amazing and homemade. Lovely portion cuts on quiche. Lovely wraps chips. Everyone went back for seconds.

Lovely pub. On a main road but fenced in garden so safe for kids. There is some parking, but you have to put your numberplate in at the bar. There is street parking available nearby, and Upminster bridge station is on the district line and literally over the road and under the bridge. Havent eaten in there for a while but when I did the food was yummy!

The food was really nice. However, they were short staffed. They didn't know there was an event going on near them and they would have a larger volume of customers. Ordered online. Luckily they picked up the ticket and waited about 20-30mins for our food and drink. Suggestion that the communicate with business/colleges in the area to see what's on and staff accordingly

We went to the Windmill pub to watch the England football game on Saturday. The pub was busy and had a lovely atmosphere, the staff were working hard but all very friendly. We had already eaten, but the food being served looks delicious. It was a really nice afternoon/evening and we'll definitely be back again soon.

Ordered & paid for food to be told they weren't doing meals,? Absolute shambles when every table had menus plus meal deal offers inside & out. There are plenty of other pubs that do sell food so not too upset not to be visiting the Windmill Pub in the future

Visited for our first quiz night and it was a brilliant experience. The quiz master was great and comical. The bar staff were brilliant considering the amount of people who were in attendance. Cant wait for the next quiz night

Meet here regularly with my friend. It’s always very welcoming , Kirsty particularly is always attentive and great at what she does. A credit to the pub . The food is always good pub fare , the macaroni cheese particularly is very good . Clean throughout with comfortable seating . Only gave 4 star instead of 5 due to plastic glasses being used due to euro football . On a Wednesday lunchtime with family and more senior customers dining it seemed a bit unnecessary!

Because they choose to put the Football on, no sound, just Subtitles, we are now subjected to Horrible plastic Glasses, all day long. Apparently down to its License, which is based on events that happened nearly 20 years ago. Sort it out Greene King, you have been running this pub into the ground for years now.

The Bar Staff were really nice. If you’re thinking of going here for food I wouldn’t bother as it took 1 hour and 9 minutes to come out and a few people asked why it’s taking so long, there was only around 15 people in the pub and not all were eating. When the food finally came out it looked nice but all tasteless. The bill was £47 pound and was not worth it.

I was served by seb and he was delightful behind the bar, I enjoyed a cheese and bacon burger which was cooked to perfection with fresh crispy onions, paired with the sea salted fries it was a wonderful experience, would defo come again and would recommend to anybody wanting to visit

Nice relaxed atmosphere for Sunday lunch. Pie is great and staff friendly with good service. Food service a little bit slow, but wasn’t a problem for us!

Went for a meal with my Dad and had a lovely time. The Manger (Seb) help us pick out a new burger, which I must say is 10/10 everything was well cooked the pub had a sence of family. My Dad enjoyed the cider Inches so he had 2 of them and I had a Coca-Cola with a lemon that you again Seb

Ordered food at 13:10. Did not get it till 14:05 so was late coming back from lunch. It was not even that busy so the reason for the slowness is difficult to understand.

I visited the windmill in Upminster for a drink on a Thursday night, although the pub wasn’t busy there was still a nice atmosphere all round. I was served by both Caitlin and Tash and they were lovely throughout the whole evening. Overall a great experience!

I visited this pub for food and it was delightful. The Guinness is superb and expertly poured with a shamrock as well. Very impressive. The staff are all great, service by Jack, Caitlin and Tash is phenomenal. The manager Seb keeps on top of everything and makes sure all customers are checked on and that everyone is happy. Would recommend highly

Went on a moderately quiet Monday night but still had a lovely warm feel to the pub with nice customers and friendly bar staff. Was served by Tash majority of the evening and was always a friendly service. Was greeted when arriving and leaving. An overall lovely experience with great food and drinks

I was in the windmill on the 23rd of February this year at 3 pm ,it was packed ,we were celebrating my friend’s dads 95th birthday we wanted to order some food for all of us but the waiting time was too long , especially for a 95 year old , there was one bar staff serving behind the bar who was also bringing out the food ,obviously this was not her fault she was working very hard. Please can you explain why on a busy Friday you only had one bar staff working. I drink in the windmill regularly and have noticed severe lack of staff

Met some members of our family there for lunch. Food was good but unfortunately there was no tea or coffee available as their machine was out of order and they were waiting for it to be repaired. The staff were polite and efficient.

I have been here 3 times. First time waiting over an hour for food and wasn't busy. Second time come out no problem. Come today and waited an hour and 10 minutes for chicken tenders! Kept being told its being "plated up". 20 minutes later and apparently still being plated up.

Absolutely lovely pub, with wonderful food, an amazing set of staff and just a lovely atmosphere in general. Can't wait to go back there again for a great night and some brilliant entertainment!!! :))
