A lovely friendly country pub. Felt very welcome considering not a local. Food was well cooked. (My fussy sons rib eye steak was his best steak) Very dog friendly.

Very good food one of the best mixed grills in a long time wife had lamb burger that she really enjoyed plenty on the plates kids meal was a good portion well werth the wait all seemed to be cooked fresh and not rushed

Three gammon main course orders shortly after arriving it took approx 1 hour to be served. Lady at bar had apologised during our wait for the delay citing it being due to a table with 8 people being served, however, the establishment was not really very busy and considering we had booked our time in advance we were quite surprised at length of delay in service. The meals were at an acceptable standard, however, the garden peas were omitted from each meal. Given the length of time it had taken to be served we decided to not point that out! We really didn't want any further delays. Hopefully they will improve their speed of service and pay a little more attention to ensuring orders are correctly fulfilled in the future. In short term doubt I will be returning.

Best ribeye steak I have ever had this pub is highly recommended. In the 6 visits we have had not a bad meal has been had. Really friendly staff and great prices

Great Sunday lunch. Good value and generous portions, especially the deliciously prepared veg. Lovely smiley staff. Would definitely go again if in the area.

Not good and not recommended, food was pretty poor to be honest,and had no taste to any of it, l feel sorry for the chef or chefs as they dont really have the culinary skills to make good tasting food.

We arrived here by chance and decided to have Sunday lunch. It was really good. There was a very friendly atmosphere, along with very attentive staff. I would highly recommend.

This is now called The Woodcock and it is round the corner from my Mums house so not actually visiting the pub.

Do not rate this inn, visited last Xmas, landlord not very welcoming.

Complete embarrassment. You never know when it's open, you never when they will actually serve food and the exterior is completely unkempt. We are in October and the mothers day menu is still up outside.

Food fantastic (Sunday carvery ) I have an autistic son and staff went out of there way and made a separate dish. Very friendly made to feel welcome the whole time we were there will defiantly be visiting again
