Have been here a few times at Christmas time to celebrate with friends and it’s always such a lovely experience. The food is always great and the atmosphere is vibey but the standout is the staff, they are all so helpful and friendly, special shout out to Alex for being the best!

We were on table 30 a party of six, Mia was our waitress and she was wonderful and attentive five stars for Mia.

We hired the Renaissance room for a work event. Great communication before the event, night went really well, food was great and service for our bar tab was fantastic. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Did the Woolpack on Friday night, Great Beers and what a bar and outside area. We were def the oldest ones there, great vibe and friendly.

We used The Woolpack for our work Christmas party last Thursday, hiring the function room upstairs. It was excellent, a decent sized room, which created a great atmosphere for around 40 people. The food was great and we had Alex looking after us and providing bespoke drinks, he was superb - friendly, attentive and professional. A wonderful evening and we would definitely recommend.

Really cool place but sometimes at lunch the wait for food is over 45 minutes… it’s also not your average pub prices for everyday lunch if you work or live nearby. The beer garden is decent sized and lots of people come to this place at all times. Would recommend for catching up with friends and colleagues.

Really lovely for a festive drink or cosy meal. Thé fairy lights, warm toned lighting and Christmas decorations made for a lovely setting no to catch up with an old friend. The service overall was friendly and attentive. Dan in particular gave a warm welcome that was really appreciated.

Private event for work, as always it was great service and food was very good. Alex was great.

Always buzzy but never a queue at the bar. Our default stop in the area. Tardis like back garden with covers and heaters out back. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Grab a Scotch Egg if you're lucky enough to be in before they're all gone!

Chose The Woolpack for a small team reunion. Reserved a table in the bar area which a helpful member of the team made available at the time reserved. Excellent service from the bar staff and a great atmosphere. Didn't eat (hence no rating).

Great, proper, London pub! Came for lunch last week, with an old friend that has just moved to London from his native Hungary! The staff were so friendly, so accommodating, and especially patient with my companion, for whom English is not his first language! Great food, Guiness was perfect, and a wholly enjoyable experience. I will certainly be back and recommending to others.

Always an amazing time at the Woolpack! The handsome Tai and Dan were top notch with their services. The steak chimichurri is my favourite!

This is one of my favourite places to go spend my nights out ,the service is amazing,the team is really friendly and helpful and the food is amazing especially the Camembert and Chicken burger 🥰

Terrible!!!! We visited this pub due its high ratings and the fact that it’s dog friendly. Be warned that if you book with a dog you will be sat in the pub area for dining, there is no table service, it is very loud and busy and the service is very bad. We ordered starters and main each, when the food came out they brought our main with our starter. When we asked why the main was with the starter they said “the kitchen is very busy” and “we just had to have the food in whatever order it came out”. We said we are not doing that, so they took the main away whilst we ate starters. When the mains came out they were cold, dry and had been sitting being warmed whilst we ate starters. We had to send back some of the mains as they were inedible. If you are looking for a nice, cosy dog friendly pub with good food and service- this is not it and I would recommend you go somewhere else.

Short walk from London Bridge. Fun atmosphere (cosy inside and lots of garden space) and delicious food. The service was very attentive and friendly, the bar staff gave our dog a sausage roll and a bowl of water.

The woolpack in Bermondsey is a lovely classic pub in Bermondsey, with gorgeous tiled walls and exterior and a classic pub menu with some really delicious choices. Alex was a friendly and well mannered lad. The food was good and everyone enjoyed. a wicked place I would definitely come back to

Visited this pub last night with a group of 10 of my best friends all in their 50's (Male and Female) . We were greeted by a miserable member of the bar staff who obviously didn't want to serve anybody. Half way through our drink a bouncer came over and tapped one of our group on the shoulder and told him to leave as he apparently had upset a member of the bar staff by supposedly making a rude hand gesture to her. In fact all he was doing was ordering 2 sausage rolls! The attitude of the bouncer was all wrong. The manager was called who agreed that maybe the bar staff had got the wrong end of the stick but made no attempt to resolve the situation. I suggest that you train your staff in customer service as I expect you will receive many more reviews like this.

I recently visited The Woolpack to meet family for lunch and brought my dog along, as their website mentioned they’re a dog-friendly pub. However, upon arrival, I was initially refused access upstairs because of my dog, which was a bit disappointing. After some back and forth, I was allowed to bring my dog upstairs. While it’s not exactly my kind of pub, I can see why it’s popular—there’s a nice atmosphere, and it’s well-suited for gatherings. If you’re planning to bring a dog, though, it might be worth double-checking their seating policies in advance.

Great quick and friendly service

My friends and I used to come here for about a year for our after-work-drinks. We absolutely loved this pub and looked forward to coming every week. Unfortunately we came here this evening and the service we received was absolutely horrendous. We arrived as a group of 6, where a pair of us had ordered our two drinks. When the couple behind us ordered their drinks, the ‘light’ suddenly came on. Despite the pair asking for 4 pints on their order; they were only given 2 pints as the light came on halfway through ordering. The bar staff claimed that the pair ‘refused’ to pay for their drinks and poured them out in front of their eyes. I asked for a refund on my 2 drinks, as we came as a group and therefore as we were leaving due to our friends being ‘refused’ their drinks, the bar staff told us that we ‘cared too much’ and said that we should just go home. Ultimately I must admit that we did get our refund, however this was fought hard for and made our evening extremely unpleasant and was, in-fact, quite embarrassing to have to justify our situation, especially in front of customers, who were shaking their head at how the bar staff were communicating with us. The bar staff were ultimately rude to all of us and I could not believe their attitude and customer service despite getting to know them so well after the years.

I didnt have any food but the service was beyond superb. My friends and I sat in the back garden and the team was very attentive in removing glasses and bringing us drinks 10/10 very kind very polite!
