Absolutely delicious dinner tonight at the Yellow House. Both the Beef Bourguignon and the Pork Chop were top draw. Always have to leave space for their special desserts too. Really lovely people who always make us feel welcome.

Great local restaurant, came for Sunday lunch and pizza, great food, drink and daily dessert!

Excellent food and friendly, welcoming staff, as always. My husband really enjoyed his flat iron steak and my tiger prawn risotto was delicious. The wine list is good with decent wines reasonably priced. The restaurant also has a nice bar area with a fire and some banquette seating.

La comida era deliciosa, desde pizza, pasta, bourguignon de hongos hasta asados de domingo. Y increíbles opciones de desierto recién cocinado y pasteles. El servicio era muy bueno. Muy buena relación calidad-precio también. Muy recomendable.

I highly recommend this bar/restaurant which serves fantastic and absolutely delicious food at affordable prices. It’s right opposite Surrey Quays station in South London and there’s free parking on Southwark Park Rd. Ideal for couples and families alike. There is plenty of space around the tables for wheelchair users too. On my most recent visit, I ate the silkiest most delicious tiramisu I have ever tasted which is just as well because I opted for that over my usual favourite Yellow House dessert of six pieces of the house fudge! Dress is smart casual. There’s a lovely cosy vibe and a garden for the summer with a pizza oven. They also serve roast dinners on Sundays.

A wonderful birthday experience, the staff were very friendly and made the whole evening feel very special. The food was excellent, from the pizzas to the pastas! I will definitely be returning to this hidden gem.

Another great meal, oxtail ravioli then a Sunday roast, followed by a home made pudding. This local restaurant deserves your business. It is also right next to Surrey Quays station so no need for anyone to drive.

This is a good local restaurant and I’ve enjoyed many meals there. The food is good although the meat balls I chose recently were over cooked for my taste. The service is friendly and helpful and the ambience is convivial.

Solíamos ser asiduos a la Casa Amarilla hace unos 20 años cuando abrió por primera vez, pero luego nos mudamos de la zona. Con cierta inquietud, hicimos nuestro primer viaje de vuelta la semana pasada y ambos estábamos encantados y sorprendidos de encontrar que era todo lo bueno que habíamos recordado. Una cálida bienvenida encantadora, ambiente relajado, y la comida era todo de gran calidad, muy bien presentado y extremadamente sabroso - el cordero y la lubina eran particularmente notable, y las patatas delfines eran sublimes. Sin duda recomendaría, y solo desearía que hubiera un restaurante de este estilo y calibre cerca de donde vivimos ahora.

Acababa de llegar bastante tarde para el almuerzo del domingo a eso de las 4 pm, sólo había dejado bien Pollo mi culpa por dejarlo tan tarde. ¡Pero yo quería pollo de todos modos así que todo bien! No tardé mucho en llegar fantástico también tomé una pinta de cerveza pálida helada y baja muy fácilmente, me ofrecieron tarta de almendras de Jamie que tomé con helado de almanaque terminado con un café con leche. Todo fue perfecto.

We were really impressed with this restaurant. All the dishes we ordered (Thai fishcakes, lentils burger, fish and chips and the homemade ice cream) were delicious and tasted very fresh - actually the kitchen is open so you can see some of it being prepared just before it goes on the plate. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is very good, and the ambiance is pleasant- it’s quiet enough to carry on a conversation without difficulty. We have been going therefor years, and have always enjoyed the experience

A great local restaurant that serves good food in an attractive, friendly atmosphere.

The Yellow House menu has a range of choices to suit all tastes. You can order a Pizza. You can order a Steak. You can order a Burger. My wife and I almost always order one of their specially prepared main courses. Their chef is very competent and we always enjoy our meal. The owner(s) of the restaurant always present, and the service is quick, efficient and friendly. Homemade bread and excellent desserts.

Four of us ordered the Sunday roast, two Lambs, one beef and the lentil cake. All four meals were beautifully presented and very tasty. We were meeting up with an old friend we hadn’t seen for ages and we had such a good time, we all enjoyed our food and “forced” ourselves to have desert and coffee to finish off the lunch. In fact we enjoyed it so much we have booked to go back on 15th! Definitely recommend this place.

Not the first time I have been here and it never fails to deliver on all fronts.

The food and service at the yellow house has always been exceptional. We visited recently with our baby and had a lovely time. My husband had pizza and I had chicken and mushroom stroganoff. We both cleared our plates! The baby change was spacious and the highchair was clean and ready at the table when we arrived. Thank you to all the staff for their kindness and another delicious meal.

I haven't been to the Yellow House for over a year. The food and service were exceptional.

As usual the service was lovely, food fantastic. There were 4 of us and ordered spaghetti, burger, steak panini and lamb. All cooked to perfection. Also had dessert special of strawberry mille feuille which was very tasty and huge!

Very friendly people, excellent freshly cooked food at good prices. Unmissable deserts. We go as often as we can. We love it there.

First time I've visited and not had pizza! Happily the Sunday roast met the same high standards - a generous portion of perfectly-cooked lamb, with lovely vegetables, roast potatoes and a huge Yorkshire pudding, and plenty of gravy.

We chose this restaurant initially based entirely on its proximity to Dock X theatre. We had such a nice experience we will be back with friends as a destination in and of itself. Great, authentic, healthy Italian fare with fantastic service at a reasonable price. Diverse been and wine lists were an added plus.

This was my first time back to the Yellow House since lockdown and what a wonderful meal it was. Staff were attentive and accommodating with our baby, even during the busy Sunday roast, and the food was nothing short of spectacular. My rose veal was absolutely delicious, and the pecan pie was the best I’ve found outside of America. The little extras in presentation such as the plated selection of spoons with pudding and coffee make The Yellow House a budget luxury that feels much fancier and more indulgent than it costs. Already booking my next visit back!

Celebrated Mother’s Day with another delicious meal. Always welcomed with a smile. Can’t believe it’s been 20 years that we have been coming here and they never disappoint. Food always delicious and the desserts are outstanding and homemade. Can’t wait to go back.

Once again visited this lovely restaurant in Surrey Quays and the food and wine was so good. Their wood fired Pizza ovens was on form as we had two of the best pizzas I've had in a few long time. The staff are always more than just happy and engaging they go the little bit extra to make your visit memorable. You absolutely get what you pay for and we were more than happy to tip.

Heading to see Macbeth at Dock X, booked this delightful restaurant online. Arrived early and we were concerned that shutters were down but just before 5:25 they opened up and we were invited in. 6 of us were served, ate and parted in plenty of time for the show. Very friendly welcome from all the team. Good menu with plenty of choice and the food was excellent as was the service. Took "doggy bags" of fudge out at the end to enjoy at the theatre. We will definitely visit again and I thoroughly recommend the Yellow House, thank you for a lovely experience.

My daughter and I had the pre theatre menu. The prawn risotto was good but bream starter was not so great.

Excellent food and choices . The wood fired pizza and steak were excellent and duck croquettes were delicious.

A fantastic Sunday roast - the beef was every bit as good as Hawksmoor and the roasties were perfect, as was the rich and flavoursome gravy. A slice of beautiful pecan pie rounded the meal off with panache.

This place was an unexpectedly brilliant find......we went to see Macbeth at Dock X and were looking for an easy early dinner option for later......this was fabulous. The food, atmosphere and staff all exceptional - thank-you!!

The Yellow House was a great find - friendly and efficient service and really delicious food. There were lots of things on the menu that sounded really great - we opted for pizza and a pasta to share. Both were unusually tasty - the pasta had a great texture, the right amount of sauce and nice zingy freshness to it. Lovely. it was surprisingly quiet, perhaps gets busier at other times - I hope so. If going to Dock X as we were, allow some extra time to savour this, rather than a bit of pre-theatre rush as we did. I enjoyed the meal at least as much as the play - in a different way of course!!

Can’t recommend enough everything first class as usual been coming here since it opened. Big portions and always piping hot. Desserts home made by Jamie and you couldn’t get a dessert anywhere else as delicious as Jamie’s. Always welcomed with a smile. Will be going back very soon.

We are new to the neighborhood. Went to the Yellow House 2 nights in a row. 1st to host a friend. Pizza. As good as we have ever had. Next night for their Robert Burns dinner. Excellent. I highly recommend this neighborhood pub/restaurant.

An excellent sunday roast (pork for me, lamb for my other half), with home made bakewell tart for dessert, accompanied by 'virgin' Negroni and a couple of glasses of the house red. A warm welcome as ever.

Another great night out at the Yellow House last night; mum ordered the veal n mash which she loved but couldn’t quite finish; my daughter the children’s pasta which she always enjoys; my wife the cod and me the Gorgonzola spaghetti which was delightful. The Yellow House is a secret gem hidden away in Surrey Quays, great food and lovely staff; hugely recommended …

A good choice of dishes on the menu, with all meat like burgers, chops and steaks done on charcoal. Pasta is fresh, and the deserts are good. We had a gluten- intolerant person in our group, who had choices like risotto. Overall, a laid back place to eat, that offers good food..

Had a lovely birthday lunch here for my son and niece. The staff were lovely especially the sweet staff member with the hearing aid that took the time to ask their names. Also the chef was really helpful when I approached him for a few things Overall very accommodating and attentive. There’s some building works outside but once inside the place is great

Excellent food and wonderful hosts. Desserts are particularly special but I’ve never had any bad food here and I’ve tried Sunday Roasts, steaks, burgers, pastas, pizzas and salmon. A real gem of a place that I love to return to again and again!

We booked this restaurant for our works Christmas party. Well it was awful, where do I start. Waiters need to brush up on their social skills. Food was presented poorly. Waiters never once asked how our food was or if we needed anything. No atmosphere seeing as it was Christmas. We asked if we could have crackers on the table which they gave us but was shocked to have been charged for them. A very dissatisfied evening.

Have been to the Yellow House many times and they seem to be able to excel each time we visit.

Lovely staff first of all. They made a lovely cake for my nieces 16th bday and the food beforehand was delicious, lamb cooked to perfection with garlicky cheesy daupinoise. We had a lovely time.

The food was amazing, cooked to perfection and served hot. The bar tender's service was excellent, he was friendly and very efficient. Only go here if you can afford expensive food and wine, it's not cheap! But, that aside, I highly recommend it and I would definitely go back.

Very good service and food. Sunday roast was great. Children’s meals were a hit and my granddaughter (4)wanted penne pasta instead of spaghetti which they did with no problem. Overall a very enjoyable family lunch. Reasonable prices too.

Great menu which is regularly refreshed - I tried out the new squid salad starter this time and wasn't disappointed. The main dishes always tempt but we can't tear ourselves away from the wonderful pizzas, which I consider the best in this part of SE London.

I absolutely love everything about this place: its food, its staff, the ambience. One of the very best places to eat in London. They always have vegan options. They treat customers so well - you really feel welcomed and appreciated, nothing is too much trouble for them. I recommend their pasta with nduja, their French onion soup, fillet of bream with leeks risotto and their pastries and desserts, particularly their fudge and profiteroles :)

Introduced an american friend to her first english roast and yorkshire pudding. She loved it. Jaimies home made bread was a big hit as well. I had the excellent lentil roast dinner which has a deliciously rich mushroom sauce accompaniment. My top tip - leave room for the deserts. We both had the lemon tart, which jaimie had baked. Pastry was light and crisp and filling creamy and sharp excellent combo.
