This Godless Place Bar & Canteen in Stockport

7 of us came for a Bottomless Brunch on a Saturday afternoon. Pre-booking online very easy, and confirmed almost right away. Sat down straight away on arrival. Great food and drinks were enjoyed over 2 hours. No issues from anyone in the group. Would definitely recommend. Brisket Tacos were lovely!

Was in the area looking for food and found this place, looked like it had a good variety as I had a picky eater with me and I was correct! Great options, nice flavours and friendly staff with a fun atmosphere. I'll definitely be returning if im ever in Stockport as this was a great find!

Coming to the end of a Stockport food tour, we just shared a portion of poutine. It seemed to be standard cheese rather than curds, and the gravy was a bit thin for my liking.

I love the gluten free food here, they have a great menu that will suit most. The drinks are good and very nice staff. One of the best places to eat or drink in Stockport

Amazing looking bar, incredible food, brilliant drink selection

We came here yesterday after doing some shopping in Stockport, we ordered cocktails and some beers, the cocktails were really nice, I ordered another 2! I recommend the Rum punch and the ting wray! 😋 We ordered the lime chicken tacos and the birra brisket tacos and the dirty fries. They were absolutely delicious! Probably the best tacos we've had in a long time. Super flavoursome! We've already recommended it to friends and will definitely be back again. Staff were attentive and polite, and the bar was easily accessible from nearby car parks.

Visited 14/12/24 for birthday party. Friendly staff, food was OK. Toilets an absolute disgrace, disgusting with broken toilet door, with no lock. You can smell the toilets as you go down the stairs. No parking on site, would not recommend having a party here.

Really good quality and tasty food at a reasonable price. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly and happy staff. Highly recommend.

We attended the wedding reception of Nat & Lou, it was a great night, great atmosphere, great music

Been a few times now and never been let down. Good food, good drinks. A very minor point but could do with spending a bit of ££ on doing up the toilets. Greats service as well

Not Impressed. Came to eat with our Family during the Christmas Street Party The table was sticky when we sat and area didn’t seem to have been cleaned in a while Found a hair in my little girls Mac & Cheese. Server implied that we had put it there as ‘no one had blonde hair’ in the place (saw a chef with pale hair in the kitchen) Very chaotic and confused place ( American diner menu, Pub look and cafe feel) Doubt I will return

This place does great coffee (Worker Bee) and the staff are lovely and friendly. We had the brunch buns with smoked salmon and cream cheese and they were excellent. Freshly-made and good quality ingredients.

Had a 40th birthday part here. The venue is fantastic and the staff were so helpful - couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend for private hire.

We visited here during foodie Friday to get away from the craziness in the square and ended up staying all night. With 7 of us drinking around a booth I would of thought they'd take our order from the table considering how quiet it was but unfortunately not. The staff are friendly enough, however the toilets stink, as in when you walk down there it's like you are actually in a sewer.

Great value cocktails. We only had a couple of baskets of chips as we were going out for a meal later. Very efficient and friendly service, thanks.

We had beef and onion toasties and loaded fries! I'm sure there was more filling than there were fries! Service was quick and staff are friendly!

We had the fried chicken small plate with some cocktails (2 for £12 I think, even on a Friday, absolute bargain) The chicken was delicious, the cocktails were spot on and the staff were friendly and attentive. Fun atmosphere and we will definitely be back! (Edit: a year or so later) We have been back loads and still love it. Recently we had the bottomless brunch and were very impressed. Mix and match on the drinks was fantastic and they were keen to keep us topped up which was fantastic. The food was excellent (nacho sharing platter and birria beef burgers) and kept us grounded in a fairly decadent couple of hours!

Our third visit overall and experience remains pretty consistent. The food is great and portions are very generous. The place was buzzing as we arrived just after their bottomless brunch was ending, which made it slightly chaotic at first. I would recommend it if you are in Stockport and looking for some decent food and a place to sink a few!

A very cosy bar in Stockport similar to Remedy from the Market a few years ago. Didn't order food when I went but definitely will be coming back another time to.

Food was delicious! Well valued meal deal, and looking forward to ordering more in the future! I heartily recommend the chocolate cake, it hit the spot

Loved this place when at originally opened, it's really gone down hill, I should have guessed as it was the only place that had availability over Easter weekend, the food was over seasoned, microwaved pasta with a good fistfull of seasoning thrown over, music so loud that the 10 customers in there on a Saturday night were shouting to hold a conversation, the staff stayed behind the bar having a good night chatting so no customer service whatsoever ! I won't be coming back!

Had an amazing brisket burger here at the weekend. Staff were great, venue lovely. Left full and happy

Great place for coffee and a bacon butty in the day time.

Went on a Friday, ordered 2 portions of fried chicken and chips and 2 Margaritas. Received 4 small pieces of chicken each. Was charged over £40 despite their Friday offer of 4 pieces of fried chicken, chips and Margarita for £10. Questioned it and was told we were given 5 pieces of chicken each which is a lie. That aside, food was below average and served in a plastic tray. Atmosphere non existent.

We went for brunch. I ordered pulled chicken and cheese grill and lemon chicken tacos. The grill sandwich was the best grill I have had. The combo and flavours just smack you and hit you side ways. Highly recommend if you ever visit. The tacos were grilled with the cheese and were crispy. Also another combo to pair up any cocktails or beers.

Early Sunday afternoon so quiet. Can imagine the atmosphere is great when busy.

Great place with really good food. Superb team there - we were served by Terri and Emily and they couldn't do enough really helpful and informative about town and made us feel at home. So important to have class staff and they've aced it here. 🙌🏻

A nice independant place to go for food. Great burgers and a pint, lovely, friendly staff nice decor. Warm inside when its cold out. Definately worth a vist when your next out in Stockport.

We booked The Godless Place for a meal and drinks for our works Christmas party for 16 people. Everyone in the group said the food was amazing and the staff were an absolute credit to the place. Big shoutout to Kai, Chole and Matt for being amazing! 100% we will be back.

We came here for our works Christmas party. Love food, staff are brilliant especially Chloe, Kia and Matt. We all left stuffed and very merry. Would definitely recommend
