Popped in for a quick pint with my family today, including our dog - who was very welcome. Local doggy patrons photos on the wall! Beautiful place in a lovely village. Decor was great, service and other customers very welcoming. Lovely atmosphere. Had a crisp pint and ordered two pizzas from the pizza van, also owned by them rather than a residency. All four of us agreed, possibly the nicest pizza we’ve ever had. I’ve had a lot of pizza in my 37 years but these were something else and incredibly well priced. The pint was fresh and crisp - just what we were after. Can’t wait to go back before the end of our holiday. I suspect this place will be very hard to book or get in to out of season as well as in season soon enough!

We really like it here, welcoming and dog friendly. Current pizza pop up is delicious and sensible prices. Wine list is also fantastic and again very fairly priced. Well run and clean loos! Well done Chequers team and Merry Christmas 🎄

This pub has recently converted back to being a pub with rooms rather than just accommodation. It still has the feel of somewhere tryg tonwork out what sort of establishment it 8s tryng to be lIt's an old building with low ceilings but it's decorated in a modern style But it has a welcoming feel but like most coasta pubs, especially out of season, it needs a few bodies in there to create an atmosphere. But t as a relaxed feel and serves a couple of local real ales. Which hits the spot for me. Food wise, this summer summer they experimented with having different food vans parked outside. There are a number of picnic tables. I was told theyre planning to do food in the coming weeks eg wholesome meals such a home made pies. But we await the printing of a menu

Stayed here 17-19 August ‘24. Room was quite nice but noisy due to the shingle carpark. Also it is now just a place for drinks (no food other than outdoor vans) it’s part of chestnut group where we have stayed in other locations. On check in at the lifeboat inn we were advised there was snacks, biscuits teas and coffees to replenish what was in the room, also when I booked in June we had been advised we would be supplied with sloe gin. So on arrival there was nothing other than a fridge with milk in. No biscuits, snacks only some tea bags in one of the jars…. For the whole 2 night stay…. It was ok but didn’t feel worth what we had paid.

Sister accommodation associated with The Lifeboat Inn. Beautifully appointed rooms with access to a very comfortable lounge with snacks tea/coffee and soft drinks. TV with Internet access which allowed us to watch the PDC darts. Extra bonus. Will be back.

Little gem, offering great coffee and treats. The perfect stop when exploring North Norfolk. Dog friendly.

Very helpful staff. Had sausages in a bap but the sausages were poor quality. Hot drinks and ice cream very good. Don’t allow dogs so had to have a takeaway.
