Great Friendly service from Zach! Always tidy and clean when we visit as a family. All staff are friendly and happy to help. Food is great and the the soft drinks refill station is a bonus.

We visited on a Sunday and the carvery was busy but service was friendly and efficient, Ayanna really looked after us. The food was lovely and as expected for a Toby Carvery. The servers on the carvery were pleasant and worked well.

I order a carvery via Uber Eats on Friday at 1852, by 1950, it still hadn't arrived despite this Toby is only approximately a mile away from where I live. I spent the next 15 minutes calling this restaurant, I appreciate they must've been busy but it took them this long to pick up their telephone. I had also been following my delivery driver via the Uber app and they had arrived at approx 1930 to collect my meal. I finally managed to get to speak to someone at 2005. I explained the situation to this guy on the phone that I'd been waiting for over an hour for my food, he explained that my food was ready & was waiting on the Uber driver & it was Uber was the reason why my food was so late! When I told him that was an obvious lie, because I could see that the uber driver had been sitting waiting for 35 minutes for my order, he didn't offer an apology for lying to me & said that the Uber odering system had gone down & my order had only just come through! How convient the uber system had just started working again when I was on the telephone complaining!!!!!! This guy then apologies & said he'd get my order out to me asap. It arrived at 2030. My issues are that it toke 1 hour & 45 minutes to get a meal prepared & delivered to me & I was blatantly lied to by the guy answering the phone. Now, it isn't as if the restaurent needed to cook my meal from scratch, all they needed to do was fill some containers from the already prepared food from underneath their heaters & carve some meat for me. This would've been, at most, a 10 minute job! Very, very poor service from you guys & trying to blame your issues onto someone else is rather disappointing!

Ohhh deary me. The table right next to the kitchen door (the booth) the wall was absolutely filthy at 930 this morning. There was no beans in all that sauce, no Yorkshire pudding, plates where dirty, you accepted lots of work men with out booking which left mine and my sisters daughter disappointed on their birthday breakfast. The standard of cleaning is awful, tables banged up, menus not wipes. I used to come here years ago and loved it but I was shocked how it's gone. The plates are awful looking, and the chef looked absolutely filthy her apron was vile too they also need hair nets walking around with there hair swishing about deary mee.

The food was nice but the service was so bad some bald person was serving and didn’t even get us or offer us drinks and overheard them talking bad about customers and I asked for ketchup 3 times before I got it to my table they need to work on their workers and how they treat their customers

We booked our annual Christmas meal with our clients on 17.12.2024. Initially, we had booked for 15 people, but we later increased the number to 30. The bookings team were fantastic in accommodating our changes and even gave us the function room at the back of the venue, ensuring we could all sit together. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles, and all the staff were incredibly accommodating throughout our visit. I would like to extend a special thank you to the manager on shift, who went above and beyond to ensure every person felt included and had a wonderful time. Additionally, the young gentleman behind the bar was also very attentive, taking orders and offering assistance throughout the afternoon. Thank you once again for making our celebration so memorable!

We have been visiting this pub for a good 15 years. It wasn't what it was pre covid but the last couple of times I've had a nice meal, the staff have been really attentive. It's made improvements that have made a real difference

All you can eat breakfast is chosen from overcooked food kept in the oven or under a heated lamp for too long. Small choice of freshly cooked items would be better.

Our server,Jane, was wonderful. We had a disabled member in our party and every care was taken.

Rather poor experience. No one at main desk for over 5 minutes to seat us. Drink order never arrived had to go to bar and complain. Made our way to the carvery and surprise surprise no staff. Stood waiting again 5 mins. Food was not hot at all, hardly warm and a few items were unavailable. Very disappointed as the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. We've been coming here many years and never experienced poor service like this before. It maybe a while before we visit again.

Food was luke warm vegetables looked "tired"

Went for an early Christmas outing from work. It wasn't very busy. They had run out of prawn cocktail. The soup was served warm, a lot of the food on the carvery was only warm. There was no apple sauce or cranberry sauce and none of the gravy pots had much gravy. To top it all they had run out of ice cream! Very disappointing. In response to reply: We did bring to the team members attention all of the problems and nothing was done. He said he would mention the cold food to the chef. No other response.

Rachel was accommodating and very polite. Made sure our experience here was top tier.

15 of us (We are all volunteers with Walsall Samaritans) had our Christmas meal at the Broadway Carvery last night, and we had a brilliant experience. A table was set up to accommodate all of us perfectly in one area. The server who looked after us was Jane, unflappable, efficient and so friendly she went above and beyond looking after us, the food was good...as always, but it was her that ensured the smooth running of our night out, she was fantastic.

My order never arrived . I was near the front door for 2 hours. We have deliveries all the time but no food arrive

delivery time kept changing and when it finally arrived both the 'free Item' we were offered and the yorkshire puddings were missing

As a family, we love this place, visiting every week. However, our last visit will be our last. On the app, I could book a table every 10 minutes over the next hour, so we decided to just turn up thinking it wasn't busy. Entered the restaurant, and the guy on the greet station walked away. I thought how rude! He didn't speak to us, he then came back and before he could speak, an older man told him to clear tables! Again, no apologies. The older man then came to us, no apologies for our wait, and abruptly said yes! I asked for a table for 3 and he replied no chance but we could eat in the bar which we didn't want to. I tried to explain about the app and tables free to book, to which he said I don't care what the app says, even if you had booked a table, you'd have a wait. What's the point of booking a table if you still have to wait! I accept i should have booked a table or accepted to eat in the bar, but it's the service we received that is the reason we won't be back.

Food ice cold roast spuds rock hard probably from last weekend, massive portion of stuffing tiny portion of everything else, only warm thing was the gravy.

We ordered turkey and beef. The turkey was missing and the beef very stringy.

I had a lovely time at this carvery. I was in the town visiting family and we decided to go out to a carvery for dinner. I had never been to a carvery before, but having been to this one I don't believe I wish to go to another for fear that they will not live up to the same standard. The food was impeccable and staff were attentive and courteous and allowed for space and time to make decisions which made for a truly effortless and lovely time. Zach in particular explained to me how everything worked and was overall an amazing server, all servers who attended to us this evening were absolutely amazing but Zach shined above the rest.

I brought a carvery for 1 and a children's carvery. Food was freezing cold, cauliflower cheese was just a big lump of cauliflower hard as rock without any cheese or taste on it. Roast potatoes had been sitting there for some time. nothing like the meal I had from them last week must of been a different chef . Really not happy as my son is retching as his eating it and I can't eat mine! Thanks Tobys carvery what a waste of money and food in the bin

We went for Sunday lunch yesterday and our waitress Ayanna made our visit. She was so friendly and happy, like a breath of fresh air. Service isn’t what it used to be anymore in restaurants so when you’re served by someone with great customer service like Ayanna it makes your day :) We had a lamb roast which was really nice and the lady on the door who checked us in was also really nice. I haven’t been here for years as the service and the food went downhill but randomly tried it this Sunday hadn’t been in since the refurb and was pleasantly surprised. Thank you.

Food quality great .server very attentive. My wife was in front of me in queue for food the carver was about to put meat on a dirty plate she told him she did not want that plate .he was not happy then gave attitude not good .he should not have used the plate in the 1st place .but everything else was spot on

Once again dinners were cold, use to love toby’s not anymore complete let down. No more visits here I hope other Toby restaurants are better? Unfortunately this has happened before . No more off my list of eating there.

It's exactly as you expect. Great value for money. Don't expect Michelin star quality food just a good wholesome roast dinner.

It's November and it's cold. The food was cold, the plates were warm, the room was cold. Told that the waiting staff were warm, as though I shouldn't have spoken. I caught a head cold! Thanks for ruining my birthday weekend!

Went at the perfect time, very quiet and no queue for food. Great quality as always, even had dumplings which was a nice surprise! Extra special thank you to our server Jane who was quick to help, lovely and cheerful!

Hi, So my friend and I went to Toby Carvery on 03 November 2024. at 1300 hours. Unfortunately we didn’t get the table we requested however the location wasn’t too bad. My friend wasn’t chuffed but we were fine. Our waitress/hostess/server was very pleasant. Her name was Jane. Jane was very attentive and helpful in locating where we needed to go for drinks and the food. We loved the food although I felt the mashed potatoes were a tad bland this week. Nothing a little salt couldn’t fix though. The one thing I find is the food tends to be a little on the lukewarm side. I’d like it to be a lot hotter because even though we were moving fast it always tends to be warm when we sit down to eat. So not a fan of warm food. I felt the server was a little stingy on my meats but other than that all was fine. Perhaps a microwave or two dotted about would help the lukewarm problem. Anyways, BIG SHOUT OUT to Jane. As always you were fabulous 😉you have time for the customers and that is a nice thing in this busy world of ours. Thank you Jane. 💜🌈💜

Just returned from the Toby Carvery Broadway Walsall and I could not fault the food or service from all of the staff. We had pre-booked and were taken straight to our table no waiting. Jane our waitress was friendly and polite. Lovely atmosphere in the carvery/ restaurant too.

Food was good and the service was great, really friendly waitress Keira was really helpful and was great with our toddlers. The only negative is the car park, it is really tight. We returned to the car and people parked too close for us to get the toddlers in their car seats. Had to pull out of the space then put them in. Maybe lose a couple of parking spaces to make the rest wider.

All Food arrived in containers, swimming in im assuming steam and grease partly prepared (looks as if was thrown into the containers. The ash browns were just a lump of soggy mush in the bottom of a bag. The ultimate wraps were the same water logged and dripping of grease. All items were over cooked. InEdible. Comes to something when a dog turns its nose up at food.

Went to Toby carvery today first ordered a pint of Guinness and a larger glass shandy had to wait 10 minutes for the Guinness finally got it.Had to take it back warm and tangy.waiting for another which we never. got.we then went to get our carvery the meat was cut wafer thin all the vegetables were cold and the gravy was cold.Finished the meal still no Guinness very disappointed

The meal was cold, it had Yorkshire missing, it had stuffing I didn't order it was thrown into the box I was most disappointed with it to say the least. The cheese cake had been put next to the warm gravy so the fresh cream had become curd.

I came in the other day and we was greeted by a lovely lady. We felt very welcome from a young lady with glasses I believe her name was Keira. She made us feel so welcome helped us. She made our day

Over my last few visits to the toby carvery, My waitress Keira was absolutely amazing, she served us with an insane amount of kindess and respect. I wish that everyone would visit just to be served with such respect by waitress.

For the first time in a couple of years, I went with a colleague to The Broadway. The last time that I visited it was a bit shabby, tired and a little past its best. However this time, there appeared to have been some refurbishment, extension of the area near to The Crescent. It was all comfortable and relaxing. There was only one real ale on that was fine as we were there for talking. We selected something from the menu to have something to eat whilst chatting. Here, I have to mention of Kaitlin who served us. This is someone who has excellent people skills, friendly, engaging and very helpful as she went out of her way to make things easy for us. She is a real asset to The Broadway.

Keira our waitress was attentive and helpful to our needs throughout the evening. We enjoyed a range of foods from the menu, excellent Carveries, delicious Salmon Wellingtons and fun Kids’ meals all prepared in a short time with great taste. We would definitely recommend Toby Carvery to anyone, and will most definitely will be back soon. Thank you.

I come here a few times a month. Staff are great. Jo is always there to greet us with a lovely smile. And Rachel who has served us most recently is fantastic! Food always great and generous!

I arrived to be greeted by a lovely lady called Jo, she was a joy to talk to. She showed us to our table which was in the balcony area to the bottom of the restaurant which was a bit snug but really pleasant. Our server Louise noticed I was Liverpool fan. Which she exclaimed her disgust in(jokingly) as she is a Everton fan! But the service didn’t falter. The food was excellent. Roasties were crispy and fluffy inside the meat was tender and well cooked. Overall the experience was excellent and far different from the times I’ve been before.

The new Manager Steve is the happiest person I’ve ever met very friendly and welcoming! Worth a visit especially if you haven’t been recently!

First visit after a few months and it has much improved, great family meal that we could not fault. Been told they’ve had a new manager from Sutton Park and you can really see the difference, will be coming back more frequently now :)

Never tried Toby Carvery before but I have always been curious, I would 100% have it again I had no fault, Plenty of vegetables, Mash was beautiful and creamy, Gravy was lovely woold prefer if the pot was abit bigger as I smother everything in gravy but others would find there was more than enough, Ordered a sticky toffee pudding and that was also amazing, I live quite a distance away and it still came nice and warm loved the roast potatoes to, deffo give this place a try :)

I ordered 2 starter bundles plus ciabatta garlic bread with cheese. One of the pigs in blankets from the starter bundle was missing and there was no garlic bread. I ordered this to share between 3 people for a light lunch. Disappointed items missing
